Van Kim Le is an avid reader first and foremost. She enjoys getting lost in a good story, often neglecting chores and other important life things. Writing is her way of decompressing after a long day at the office. She believes that books shouldn’t be complicated and that length isn’t essential in the making of a good story. She works hard at keeping lengthy characterization and background information to a minimum, leaving only what is crucial to the story. She considers, ‘that was an easy read’ to be a compliment. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to read which I enjoy. Could read a chapter or two when I had time. It was funny at times and also pointed out how hard it is to be a parent in these times. And how hard moms are on themselves to do it all. A great read and will share with my daughter and daughter in law.
