The game of love has never been this hard or hot...
Concrete inspector Zennifer Morse has problems. During her monthly video conference calls, she has to see the man who dumped her during their one and only trip to Las Vegas. When her boss asks her to take his place at an upcoming conference in the same hotel, she hesitates before agreeing to go. She just hopes her ex is not there.
Jackson Duke wanted to take his relationship with Zennifer to the next level when he invited her to a weekend away in Vegas. As a BDSM dominant, he never knows how a woman will respond to the news. Seeing the very conservative Zennifer during the weekend had Jackson changing his mind. Now that he sees her at the same conference, he decides Zennifer can use a bit of discipline especially when she makes a dig about how he runs his business.
When Jackson tells Zennifer about his other lifestyle, she doesn't believe him until he disciplines her. After that, she finds a new side of herself as a submissive.
When Zennifer discovers the real reason Jackson wanted to rekindle relationship, does her heart turn back to concrete? Can Jackson soften enough to let the right woman into his life?

Hot Game was okay, and flowed well for the most part, but it just read as a story where I didn't feel any emotion from either character. I understood what I was supposed to feel, but unfortunately it wasn't conveyed with the characters. Zennifer is a concrete inspector known as a hard nose for exacting specifications and Jackson is a concrete manager who happens to be her ex. When she levies his company with a hefty fine for using subpar material, Jackson concocts a plan to seduce Zennifer to try to get her to rescind the citation that she issued while at a convention in Las Vegas. They have some dom/sub interludes, but they didn't have that connection that makes their scenes sexy.
Enjoyed this book it was tastefully written about a subject I knew very little about. It erased the negativity I had on the subject. Jackson and Zennifer learned to trust changing both of their lives for the better.
A wonderful 2nd chance romance for two people who were afraid to reveal themselves to each other the first time. The second time they found that they were perfect for each other and had wasted years apart. I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to reading more Bridget Midway
Ladies beware from Bridget Midway. This talented author blew me away with such a delicious and tempting man like Jackson Duke. He is not your average businessman but one who is hiding so many secrets. Secrets that might bring him Zennifer back in his life or scare her for good. Now Zennifer I have to say is one courageous woman. The things that Jackson wants to bring her into and make her do should be scary to some people. Yet I have to say Zennifer is one woman who will not let fear get her twice again. I loved both Jackson and Zennifer from their fears to how passionate they are together. Bridget Midway definitely has a hot tale in this book and just one word wow.
I finished the story. I don't like predictable books. I knew the bad stuff was going to happen to the main girl and she would easily forgive him. This author's girl characters tend to be easily gotten and they forgive horrendous shit. I admire she has delved into making interracial relationships, but she conveys that Black women are easy and can accept being treated unfairly by men. So this is a horrible love example.
Once again this is not. Book it's a novelette. It is so short. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the story. It was not really worth my time. I lost couple of brain cells too. I would really contemplate buying another one of this author's books.
Whist I liked this couple their story was very slow for me compared to the other two books I have recently read by Bridget Midway. I had to make myself finish this one. The story was a little on the boring side.
This book annoyed me on many levels. The characters felt inconsistent, too much drama, a lot of tell not show. I read the entire thing anyhow (procrastination, I am your slave).
Only one word, boring! The characters are boring and one dimensional, the secondary characters are almost nonexistent, the story has no buildup or plot. Skip this one, even if you get it for free!!
