This edition features the same content as the traditional text in a convenient, three-hole-punched, loose-leaf version. Books a la Carte also offer a great value this format costs significantly less than a new textbook. Before you purchase, check with your instructor or review your course syllabus to ensure that you select the correct ISBN. Several versions of Pearson's MyLab & Mastering products exist for each title, including customized versions for individual schools, and registrations are not transferable. In addition, you may need a CourseID, provided by your instructor, to register for and use Pearson's MyLab & Mastering products. This much anticipated second edition of the most successful new calculus text published in the last two decades retains the best of the first edition while introducing important advances and refinements. Authors Briggs, Cochran, and Gillett build from a foundation of meticulously crafted exercise sets, then draw students into the narrative through writing that reflects the voice of the instructor, examples that are stepped out and thoughtfully annotated, and figures that are designed to teach rather than simply supplement the narrative. The authors appeal to students geometric intuition to introduce fundamental concepts, laying a foundation for the development that follows. Baffled at the low reviews.

This is the one of the best compilation Calculus texts out there that money can buy.

Encompasses Single/Multivariable/Differential/Integral/Vector Calculus all in one.

Has excellent worked examples, proofs, visualizations, etc!

I used it in college years ago, and I still open it here and there, today, for reference.

In my opinion, it is a better text than Larson/Hostetler/Edwards's Calculus text.

This book, while used concurrently with mymathlab, has helped me achieved a great understanding of calculus! I just finished calculus 3 with a 98%. While the material is challenging, this book offers concise examples, a wide arrange of online help (like an e-book, interactmath.com help, etc), and visuals! It's awesome!
