Ford-Grabowsky offers a unique book in which she focuses on fourteen Marian scenes in the New Testament and uses them to fashion a devotional around each scene. Each devotional consists of components where the chapters ask us to engage with the Blessed Mother through listening, imagining, and meditating. The other components of each devotional include questions to ask ourselves about Mary and a collection of quotes that offer “illumination” about Mary. In addition, the chapters offer prayers to recite about Mary and a section where we can think about creative ways to see ourselves through Mary. For those already devoted to the Blessed Mother, this book may not do much in expanding their embrace of Mary. For those looking to discover and connect with Mary for the first time, this book may serve as a good primer in offering inspiration and guidance.
