A critical biography interprets Buber's theory of knowledge, existentialism of dialogue, and thoughts on the Hebrew bible, Judaism, and the nature of evil
Buber's theology is proof that human wisdom is possible, which is rather reassuring in any age, but exceptionally so these days. The clarity with which Buber expresses his insights without need for excessive jargon makes his conclusions ring with all the more clarity. Theists and atheists alike will benefit from a reading of Buber, as so much of his thinking is foundational social thought. I read this in tandem with "Reconciliation" on Desmond Tutu's Ubuntu theology. Taken together, these books are a master's class. Truly exceptional insights to dogged social difficulties.
