Kennedy Ryan is at her absolute best in this compelling, scorching novel about hope and healing, and what it truly means to love for a lifetime
Hendrix Barry lives a fabulous life. She has phenomenal friends, a loving family, and a thriving business that places her in the entertainment industry's rarefied air. Your vision board? She's probably living it.
She's a woman with goals, dreams, ambitions-always striving upward. And in the midst of everything, she's facing her toughest challenge caring for an aging parent.
Who has time for romance? From her experience, there's a low ROI on relationships. She hasn't met the man who can keep up with her anyway.
Until . . . him.
Tech mogul Maverick Bell is a dilemma wrapped in an exquisitely tailored suit and knee-melting charm. From their first charged glance at the summer's hottest party, Hendrix feels like she's met her match. Only he can't be. Mav may be the first to make her feel this seen and desired and appreciated, but he's the last one she can have. Forbidden fruit is the juiciest, and this man is off limits if she plans to stay the course she's set for herself.
But when Maverick gives chase-pursuing her, spoiling her, understanding her-is it time to let herself have something more?
I write contemporary romance and women's fiction. I always give my characters their happily ever after, but I love to make them work for it! It's a long road to love, so sit back and enjoy the ride.
I am wife to the love of my life, mom to a special, beautiful son, and a friend to those living with autism through my charitable foundation.
The audiobook was fantastic! What a performance and narration!
Some finales feel like a farewell, some a tribute but this one feels like a dedication and a legacy! * This is Skyland! Three women, three seasons bonded by friendship! This one is for the girls. The girls are complete. The girls are whole. They are not equal but loved equally! * "SIS YOU DESERVE " - KR Abandon all expectations of who you thought Hendrix was in the glimmers we saw throughout book 1 and 2 of the Skyland series and open your mind to her full story! * This was Hendrix! If deserving soft life was a person it would be the way this woman was written, loved right off the pages and resilient to a fault. The snippets of who this woman was that we saw throughout the series were mere glimpses that culminated with her own layered story in book 3! I felt there was a nice marriage of who Hendrix was and who she really was underneath all the layers and that this story allowed that to be unearthed, birthed and blossomed with wholeness! Maverick was Maverick! Carefully written and constructed as a memorable character in this series. There was no doubt of his purposeful demeanor, respect, love and honesty that introduced him as someone deserving of Hendrix attention and dare I say 'perfect fit'. The attraction was inevitable and even in the midst of life transitions and changes planned and unplanned they drew near.
Kennedy gives us all the feels while tapping into themes very relevant of the times!
Many, many thanks to the folks @ReadForeverPub, @NetGalley and @HachetteAudio for the e-arc copies and Audiobook

I enjoyed this book. I wanted to hear Hendrix story and I enjoyed her happily ever after. I also enjoyed the topic of Dementia I feel like Kennedy did a really good job with the disease and process and also I enjoyed reading about the lawsuit.
I love how Kennedy Ryan tied all the past characters together in this one. It made me feel the community in an authentic way. I want to live in Skyland too!
