Iain Chambers approaches the often overlooked details and textures of popular culture through a series of histories which show how it becomes continually remade as each of us defines our own urban space.
I found this to be a fascinating introduction to the study of popular culture. Written by a British professor, it is interesting to view this study from a different point of view, although that means that some of the examples were lost on me. I found part one on the city to be the most interesting.
