A solid story with pretty good art. But the dialog. Listen. I swear like a sailor. But the characters in this swear like it's their job. There's more swearing in this than a 90s Vertigo comic, and I didn't think that was possible. At some point, it starts to seem like parody, and it pulls the reader out of the story. This comic reached that point a dozen pages in.
Vampires are unleashed accidently during the BAttle of the Bulge and some cliche soldiers from both sides join forces to fight them off. Its kind of like "The Keep" by F. Paul Wilson with all the background, narrative arc and point removed. Story is on par with the RPG adventures you write when you are 14 - Set up the enemies then brawl for hours. Art was hit and miss and only confused some of the action panels.
