After finding out the traumatic truth, Keira tries to move on from the doors of Afterlife and the love lost through a world of pain. What you get is the ingredients for all Keira will need in this quest for the truth about the man she still dreams of… But can everyone be trusted?
Please note that the book is written using UK English spelling with some local northern sayings and descriptions.
Stephanie Hudson is a #1 Amazon bestselling Author. She had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream.
Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. The Transfusion Saga will also be a 12 book series once book 12 is released in May 2021. Other spin -off books and series are also available with lots more planned.
When not writing, Stephanie enjoys chatting with her fans and spending time with her friends. Being with her loving family as much as she can including her wonderful daughter Ava, sons Jack and Halen and supportive husband and personal muse Blake, who is there for her no matter what.
I must admit this series is one of my all time favourites, this author really does have a great imagination and depth to her books.
BUT this one didn't work for me. There seemed to many pages where nothing of interest was going on. Lots of inner dialogue with no action, and I'm now finding that I'm becoming frustrated with this whole "I can't tell you why, it's not the right time" thing. I mean to be honest you would be demanding the answers there and then. Nothing really happened action wise until the very end, and I found that was just flicking pages because I was becoming bored with the endless inner dialogue, and slowness of this book.
I think it's because all the other books from this series really gripped me the first page to the last, so this one really did disappoint me.
Don't get me wrong I love the characters and the theme, but maybe this is running out of steam for me. But I'm not ready to hang up my boots on this series yet. I'm finding I want to read about the other people in this series because I'm loosing interest in the two leading people in this series.
I will read this next one in the hope that it becomes more like the others of the previous books.
The story dragged a bit for me. It picked up toward the end, but in my opinion, the middle got a little too sappy for me. A good editor could have cut the book down and we may have had only one book instead of two. That said, I am committed to find out what happens at the end of this story, so bring it on.
This rating is really for all the books in this series up to this point, including this one. And I really struggled with how to rate it, because there are some aspects that deserve 5 stars (or more) and some that made me want to give it 1 star. In fact, I can't remember a time I've been so conflicted while reading a book. I'm going to start by talking about the positives, because they are VERY positive.
The world-building done in this series is wonderful. It is creative, detailed, and extensive, and it just gets better with each book in the series. In the first book, I wasn't at all sure where it was going, but as I kept reading, I found myself drawn further and further in, and I suspect most lovers of urban fantasy will find themselves in the same boat. I don't know that I can point to a single aspect of it that is completely original, but in its current configuration, the world feels unique. The concept of the "good" demon and "bad" angel is a classic metaphor for not judging a book by its cover. The elaborate descriptions of the various realms of hell, the clear verbal pictures that are painted of how each demon appears, and the complexity of the various clubs (Afterlife, Transfusion, Devil's Ring, etc.) and other unusual surroundings is colorful and clearly paints it all for the reader.
Almost the entire supporting cast throughout the series is phenomenal and well-developed. I can honestly say I am curious about what happens to every single member of Draven's family and most of his council, not to mention Keira's other friends, both supernatural and not. At the end of book 4, when we are given our first glimpse of the world through eyes other than Keira's, it gets even better. This continues on into book 5, and I found the alternate points of view just made the story better and more complete. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the hopes that we will continue to get additional points of view.
Just to reiterate here before I move on to the negatives, the positives I've mentioned above are extremely positive. I really can't say enough good things about these aspects of the storyline. Now on to the negatives. And they are, unfortunately, just as bad as the positives are good.
While the story that is told is fantastic, the writing itself is amateurish and verbose. Add in the constant grammatical issues and simple misuse of words, and anyone who feels strongly about language is going to cringe repeatedly. It was so bad that I almost put the first book down before I even got halfway through, and generally, it takes a lot to make me just give up on something. I questioned whether or not the author had english as a second language at one point, because the types of mistakes are consistent enough to suggest that they are following the rules of grammar from a language other than english. I'm glad I stuck with it, but the language problems never go away throughout the first 5 books. A good editor would have gone a long way toward making this series even better. Hell, even a copyeditor would've made it much easier to read. There is also clearly a misunderstanding of the purpose and meaning of epilogue, since approximately 25-30% of the book happens post-denouement.
While the descriptions are wonderfully elaborate and clearly paint pictures for the reader, they are also often endless. At one point, I realized I had just thread three pages of description of a single room. Frankly, I just don't care that much what the room looks like, and I find it hard to imagine anyone else does, either. The way descriptive language is used reminds me of being in school and having teachers ask us to write descriptive paragraphs; I remember writing long drawn-out descriptions just to use as many adjectives as possible, and these books often feel that way. The author has yet to realize there is a time and place for that level of detail, but not every single thing in a novel needs to be described down to the inch. By the time I reached the third book, I found myself frequently skimming through pages just to get past the never-ending descriptions and back to the story.
I absolutely loathe the main character. In that way, this series is reminiscent of the Twilight series for me. I hated Bella, and hard as this is for me to believe, I hate Keira more. I find her annoying, stubborn, and not very bright. She also apparently has absolutely no sense of self worth or self respect. Every time she makes a decision that is clearly going to get her in trouble, I just rolled my eyes and hoped maybe this time she would die. Then she died, and even that didn't end the pain of reading from her point of view. I am absolutely baffled as to why all these amazing characters like her, since she seems even less than ordinary to me. Apparently her soul is pure, which is great, but that combined with great hair appears to be the only positive qualities she has. As an example, in book 4 she has the means to ask a question once each day when she is desperately in need of information and guidance. She takes advantage of this opportunity a total of three times. Really??? How effing stupid can you be? Even when she's given a way to learn, she can't be bothered because she's too busy panting over the latest unbelievably hot boy toy she's picked up.
Lastly, given the depth of development of the supporting cast, the villains are nothing. We know next to nothing about them, and they are essentially nameless and faceless right up until the final confrontation. The only time we get to know a "villain" is with Lucius, who turns out not be a villain at all. This holds true for basically all the "bad guys" in the books. Even Aurora is one-dimensional at best, despite appearing throughout all the books as a major nemesis to Keira (at least in Keira's mind). We have no information about the Triple Goddess until book 3 is almost done, and even then it isn't until Malphas kidnaps her and begins his ritual that we really learn what the whole point of that particular story was; we never actually learn anything more about Malphas himself, let alone the other women who represent aspects of the triple goddess.
So there you have it. Despite endless frustration and the constant urge to just give up and put the series down, I've stuck with it so far because the story is just that damn good. I would strongly urge the author to get an editor or at least a copyeditor and clean these books up, because I think they could be so much better with so little effort. I eagerly await the next one, even knowing I'll still be hating Keira, cursing the author for misuse of words and bad grammar, and wondering why on earth all these amazing characters give two flying shits about an annoying moron like the protagonist. Truly baffling...

I gave this book 3 stars because of Kiera. I enjoy the world the author created and all the characters except for her. Am I the only person that finds this girl incredibly annoying? I'm so tired of her tantrums and dramatic outbursts. I'm so tired of her freaking out and running away whenever she sees Aurora. Seriously the last time it happened I had to skip several pages because I felt like I was reading about a high school romance. I just wish she'd grow up a little.
I also think these books are long winded and probably could have been edited down to three books. The descriptions are too long and too much inane conversation that doesn't contribute to the story.
I will read the last book because I like the story and want to see how it ends, but I still want to throttle Kiera.
I love this series!!!!! I need part 2 so bad! This is actually book 5 in the "Afterlife" series, and comes in 2 parts, so unfortunately there is another wait ahead for part 2. No doubt the wait will be worth it, it always is..... But I HATE waiting pmsl. All through this book the question "will they won't they?" is there, and do they???? You will have to read it for yourself to find out lol. It would help if you have read the other books in the series to get all the history on all characters, but I can highly recommend reading them as they are all highly enjoyable so do yourself a favour and pick them up.
I tried really hard to get into this series, but at book 5 I give up. Three things that happen over, and over, and over again.
1. Keira is going to cry a LOT. Like the most overactive tear ducts in history. 2. Keira is going to get her feelings hurt and run off instead of growing a backbone. 3. Keira is going to get kidnapped. Every. Stinking. Book!
I can’t do it, I just don’t care any more. Sad I spent all this time hoping for something better. The supporting cast players are all so much more interesting than the main character, they kept me this long but I can’t take the repetitive story line and whining heroine any more.
Unfortunately, whilst I adored the last four books, with this one I found myself continuously skipping pages of boring dialogue, and repeated and dragged out issues. The ending was the best part of the whole.
Keira is a great character who is easy to relate to, she is Surrounded by friends and family who love her. The Draven family is full of mystery and intrigue and when you think you have things figured out… Stephanie turns another corner! This book the fifth in the series leaves you wondering what comes next, but more importantly it starts in a place where you think you can not forgive one of the main characters. But somehow … We always do! It leaves me wondering how she always manages to make us like someone we didn't think we could! Great writing has always !
Definitely 5 stars! I started reading this series on a whim and wasn't sure if I would like it or not since it is a little different than my usual read. Book one had me hooked after a few chapters. As others have said the first bit of the book is a little slow but it does introduce you to the characters and lets you envision the surroundings and builds the scene which is wonderful and I think the reason you become so attached to these characters. Books 2, 3 and 4 are packed with it all, we have romance, action, horror, sex scenes, yearning, mysteries, history, you name it! It is definitely hard to put this series into only one category as it fits the bill for so many! There is a little bit for everyone in these series. Book 4 left me a little ticked off at Draven as I have been many times over. I'm not sure how Stephanie has the power to make me love and hate and love and hate again one character but she does. In this particular book I am back to loving him and think that by adding Draven's thoughts to the book was a great idea as it shows the reader his point of view instead of wondering like poor Kiera does. I've seen a few reviews concerning this book being "slow- too many thoughts of the characters without enough action" that is totally not the case. I think after the whirlwind of the first 4 action packed books with so much happening in so little time this is just what the series needed. A little time to connect with your characters again and time for the characters to reconnect and actually have time for a thought process on all that has happened and is being learned. It is a wonderful series and out of the many series and stand alones I have read this is by far my favorite. The only complaint that I have is that there is so much time in between books. I guess you can't rush perfection and in no way do I want this series turning into one of those 30 book sagas that has a new book a month. I am more than looking forward to book 5 part 2 and the following 6th and 7th books. Hopefully she does a spin off on some of my favorite hotties that tells us what becomes of them. I have totally fallen in love with all of these characters and all I have to say is Lucious is something special. Great job Stephanie and thank you for sharing your AMAZING talent and imagination with us. You definitely have a fan for life!
Let me start off by saying that this series has me hooked because I love the idea of some of the characters. Draven is rather swoonworthy, even if the physical description of him isn't necessarily to my taste (I just make up my own!) and I love Lucius. However there are some aspects that really irritate me.
These books really would have benefited from some professional editing. The Pentagram Child did seem to take forever to get interesting and with some editing it could be a lot more snappy and polished without detracting from the story (and probably could have been condensed into one book). I also dislike that the style of writing often sounds more like reading Keira's rambling diary, rather than a concise narrative. It's very informal and conversational which puts me off a little bit and often states the obvious on things, which I'm sure most readers could work out for themselves, e.g. '"AHHHHA!" I screamed in pain...' I think it's fairly obvious to all what a scream sounds like without the "AHHHH!" in there.
As far as heroines go, Keira is frustrating as she just seems to whine all the time and doesn't seem particularly bright, yet she has everyone falling all over themselves to protect her. Baffling. However, again, with a bit of editing to shut her up a bit she probably wouldn't be so bad!
Having said that, I have stuck with the series and something keeps drawing me back to the next in the series as soon as I have finished one so I'm merely reflecting some minor gripes that I have.
I've already started on part 2 and will almost certainly read #6!
Keira learned a heart-shattering and traumatic truth, and now she's trying to move on from Dominic and the doors of Afterlife and the love she lost through a heartbreaking world of pain she's never known.
But, Keira doesn't know that the King of Afterlife isn't done with her and Keira quickly finds herself once again standing face to face with the man who left her with a shattered heart and unable to trust even her own judgment.
However Keira had thought that she knew the truth, but that soon unravels and Keira finds herself following the ribbon of the lies she's been told all the way back to the very gates of Hell. And Keira knows better than most people, that the pursuit of the truth can be a deadly game to play when you are up against Supernatural killers.
Warning: This book contains a sexy, broody King who can’t control his jealous temper or his obsessive need for the woman he loves. So throw in a new Boyfriend for comfort, a Vampire King for protection, a crazy Imp for humour, and the Dravens for some family lovin’. What you get is the ingredients for all Keira will need in this quest for the truth about the man she still dreams of…
But can everyone Keira meets be trusted?

The Pentagram Child Part 1 is the 5th book in the Afterlife Saga by Stephanie Hudson. I'm just going to start by saying that this book is only part one of two. I just jumped into the 2nd part of this set of the saga and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen after the end of this book. And I am so happy that there are three more books after the 2nd part of this book. Although, I hate to be leaving Afterlife, I have loved this world. I am just transfixed by it.
I'm just going to get this off my chest right now. I despise and abhor Alexander Cain. As soon as I read that Keira had a new boyfriend I wanted him dead. I know that's not a nice thing to think or want, but the only man I could see her with was Dominic. Although, for some reason when she kissed Lucifer it really didn't bother me for some reason.
There is no denying that Keira is not only brokenhearted but she is just broken by what Draven did to her but also all the lies that he told her. And no matter what Sophia and Vincent try to say to Dominic, nothing is going to change his mind. Deep down in his core, he believes, based on what the Oracle told him, that Keira is safer and better off without him and he just wants to be left alone to wallow in his pain.
That is until two things happen. First Dominic learns that Keira has a new boyfriend and he has this dire need to see this for himself. And Dominic is not happy who Keira's boyfriend is and all he wants to do is get rid of him. So, he returns to Afterlife, not only to return to his home, but to his very heart.
At this time Keira doesn't understand why Dominic is doing all of this. Keira is no longer the girl she once was and now all she is is just an empty shell with a shattered heart. Once upon a time Keira would have done anything and everything for Dominic, she's proven this time and again. So, when she meets Alex on her return flight from Italy, she makes the decision that her heart is safe as she knows that there will never be anyone like Dominic Draven or anyone who can take his place in her heart, so Keira chooses to date Alex knowing that she'll never love him as she loved Dominic.
It takes Keira ten months to return to Afterlife, and the only reason she returns is because she believes that Dominic will not be there and she really wants to see Sophia and Vincent again. When she sees Dominic, she's shocked that he's there and she realizes in that instant that there is no way he is going to like Alex.
Alex soon whisks Keira off back to Italy and Dominic returns to wallowing in his own misery when Vincent takes him back to his private cave. There after wallowing in his own personal misery (and in my own opinion not paying attention) he finally finds the gifts that Keira had left for him.
This is the 2nd thing that happens to Dominic that changes everything. Upon reading the letter that Keira left for him, and in reading that letter, a letter that had me crying, he finally realizes the depths of Keira's love and devotion for him. And in that moment he changes his mind about everything and decides to f*ck the fates and go after the other half of his heart and soul.
The rest is for you to read and find out my reading friends and trust me, the trip will be worth it in the end. Stephanie Hudson has outdone herself again in this first half of the Pentagram Child.
I loved the difference in this book as it wasn't all from Keira's perspective. Instead, we got to see things from Dominic's perspective as well and we even got a chapter told from Lucius's perspective which was a nice bonus. I loved the change in POVs and I hope that the rest of the series follows in this format. I loved getting into the head of Dominic.
The ending though, that is the real shocker, and it's one that just can't happen! I mean I have to just hope and pray with everything in me that it doesn't come to that.
Now, I am glad that I am into part 2 and can find out what's going to happen next and the events that I NEVER want to see happen don't happen. God, I am worried at the moment.
I pray you have been enjoying the Afterlife Saga as much as I have been and if not then you really need to get on it, this is a fantastic series and you really should read it. I highly recommend it.
I will be reading some of Stephanie Hudson's other series once I have finished this one. I have really been enjoying her storytelling, world-building, character development and arcs, and plot and sub-plots. Her books and engrossing and even when I am not reading them I find myself still thinking about them.
The Pentagram Child: Part 1 (Afterlife Saga #5) Author Stephanie Hudson
Pentagram Child has it all; suspense, drama, humor, love and sexy as hell broody Draven. I laughed, cried, and chewed my nails. Near the end I literally threw my hands in the air and yelled "Are you kidding me!" I felt like I was in a scary movie telling the characters "no no run the other way!"
This is my first book in this series, but believe me when I tell you I will be going back and reading all the books leading up to this one and the ones that follow.
Keira is a wonderful character and her interactions with all of her friends was fun and endearing. Loved the Imp, her fantastical clothing and never ending humor. When Keira and Draven's heart broke mine did also. Thank you for the experience Ms. Hudson. Looking forward to many more.
This series is going to be a huge heart break for me when it ends and waiting for the next book just might be the death of me. Dreamy Draven is what I refer to as my addiction in this series and that is just what he is DREAMY! Ohhhh! and that's not the only hot dreamy man in this dark sexy super natural series. No spoilers but a quote " "So I cried. I cried for the man who held my heart in his hand and crushed it right in front of me. I cried for the man who still held it in his fist and even though broken, still wouldn’t let it go"
The Pentagram Child: Part 1 (Afterlife Saga Book 5) by Hudson, Stephanie
As Keira tries to move on with her life, she finds that her new boyfriend is not who he seems. Draven is given proof that finally makes him go after what is his. All are caught up in evil plot to unleash hell on earth by the end of the book.
I really enjoyed how this book was written from numerous perspectives, which was necessary (and enriching) for this storyline.
Another fabulous book from Stephanie Hudson that makes you wait with anticipation until the next book arrives.
4.5 stars....enjoyed having Keira and Draven back together we so needed that after bk4...but as usual there's the added drama and twist...lovely read looking fwd to part2!
A n exciting turn of events with a frustrating female
I am reading this series and vested now in finding out the author’s end game. So I continue to read what parts and chapters that I can. I am so disappointed in Kiera, the lead female, why can’t she figure something’s out before she walks into trouble. Kiera is kidnapped in every book and sometimes multiple times. Kiera seems unwilling to make safer choices. It’s so annoying that you just skip over the nonsense. All these powerful Kings, Angels, Vampires, and Demons are supposed to be watching her but nope, the next scene Kiera is kidnapped again. It’s like a mockery. Why is Lucius the only one who will tell Kiera the truth? How many times can the other lead characters insult Kiera by stating that she is not strong enough to accept or understand this unspoken prophecy? It’s a moot point because Kiera is constantly kidnapped, tortured, and harmed so better to just tell her so at least Kiera could attempt to lookout for the danger that she faces as the Chosen One. Again this is book five, and Kiera has been taken at least eight to ten times in this series. At this point, like I mentioned, I only continue to read because I am five books into this twisted science fiction story that is interesting and has basis in real life history with the fictional world that this author has created. It’s just the characters making ridiculous choices or their actions don’t make sense in the supernatural world of the storyline.
It took me until book 5 to realize the titles reflect the number in the series. Afterlife (not so much as book 1) The Two Kings = 2 The Triple Goddess = 3 The Quarter Moon = 4 The Pentagram Child = 5 Just putting this out there for no particular reason.*
Well, in addition to my disbelief that Keira is such a pure soul considering her bitchy nature at times I’m also once again aghast at her stupidity.** She actually has the nerve to say that Alex is just an architect so how could he possibly hurt her despite the fact she knows he’s a Nephilim. Has her exposure to supernatural beings taught her nothing? Just knowing Adam is a berserker yet looks like an accountant should give her the clue that appearances are deceiving.
“preverbal cookie jar!” Could the author possibly mean the proverbial cookie jar? Where are the proof readers/ARCs to catch these errors?
*Now that I’ve finished this book I see the next one is also called The Pentagram Child: Part 2, so I guess my so-called discovery regarding the titles is out the window.
**Why hasn’t Keira cottoned to the wisdom of doing what people tell her to do? I’m specifically referring to when someone tells her to stay put until they return yet off she’ll go willy-nilly as soon as an opportunity presents itself. It never turns out well.
Keira constantly crying/getting kidnapped. Rinse, repeat every single book.
Why can the Fates/Oracle be deceived? Kinda defeats their purpose.
As I follow the series I find things I don't enjoy, like the very extreme descriptions of deformities and violence, and looong repetitive pictures of surroundings, so I now confess to some rapid page turning at times. BUT, I carry on just waiting for the next mention of him, Draven, and have more than a passing fancy for the other Kings. We lost one here, spoiler avoided, but I love him and hope it's not the end for his flirting with our lucky heroine. She's so irritating at times, but I'm not sure what level of jealousy contributed to that remark.
I just have to comment on the editing. It's awful and, at times, a garbled sentence actually interrupts the narrative while the reader puzzles over the meaning. It's not regional phraseology, I'm talking about, it's bad grammar, it's spelling mistakes, and it's rearranged text that hasn't been corrected. It makes me itch to do the job right, if you're recruiting!
Having read your notes, Stephanie, I realise I am criticising your mother, and I apologise for that, but for goodness sake woman it's really not good enough for the level you've reached as an author.
Now onto Book 6, as Draven's helpless but willing captive. I'm not a read-ahead, self-spoiler, but I'm praying the final, final book will not leave us still cliff-hanging.
For book 4s review I forgot to leave this quote; “Never let fear of the unknown cloud the truth you know lies deep within your heart...remember that and you will rise above all obstacles.” Here’s for book 5 “Only the weak and scared would prey on those they truly feared, for if a smaller man was ever to rise and take a stand against the bigger then that would be their end...that was their real fear and they warped it into a power they thought would keep them powerful...but they were wrong and one day I will prove this to you my friend.” Keira is speaking to a new character.
Book 5 is intense!!! I couldn’t put it down! Oh boy are you in for a fantastic roller coaster! It has dips, turns, upside down, diagonal well you get idea. Sooooo many surprises!!! I thought it was going one direction only to be flipped on it’s head. This happened multiple times!! Sure kept me captivated, that’s for sure. I usually figure it all out before the end. Uh..nope..not.this.time!! If you do WOW I happily bow to you reader!! I absolutely loved this book incase you couldn’t tell!! Yep there’s lots of laughter, um yep some crying not as bad as book 4 (thank goodness), and parts that will get your heart pumping!! Enjoy!!
The Pentagram child (the afterlife saga book 5) by Stephanie Hudson @theafterlifesaga is a 5 ⭐️ read. It’s been 10 months since Kiera walked away from Draven, this time she still has the supernaturals she loves in her life, she also has a new boyfriend who is also a supernatural, he’s different from Draven but apart from standing her up a lot he seems to be good for her. When Draven finds out Kiera is dating a supernatural being he comes back to afterlife and tries to protect Kiera who is as always very stubborn, she stands her ground when everyone tells her he’s not good enough but Kiera’s trusting nature doesn’t believe them. Poor Kiera ends up in trouble again and all the supernaturals she knows and then some come out to save her, bringing the prophecy even closer. I love this series, I’m on my second read through and know what’s happening but I still can’t turn the pages fast enough, this wonderful author has built a world like no other I’ve ever read before, I will definitely be reading these books again and again and again!!
Again not on par with the first 3 books for me, its getting a bit reoccurring Keira and Draven being lost in translation... Keira getting Kidnapped. This book however did have a little more story than the last book, it is fastly going from one of my favorite ever series to being an O.K read which is so disappointing, i still love the characters except maybe Keira she is grating on me a bit now, but i will carry on in the hopes the books pick beck up again and become as great as the first 3.
“I think out of us all our little bird is one of the safest people alive right now, after all you maybe her light, but the rest of us are her moths.”
This book is a continuation of Kiera and Draven and all the action, adventure, and love as they work through communication and fates plans for them. Like most books, this includes part of the story that will have you on the edge of your seat and parts that will have you swooning. This is a two-part story linking the rest with book 6 in this series.
This book does have a warning for mature content.
We pick up with Kiera, still haunted by Draven but in her dreams. Wow-what a vivid dream who is this pentagram child?
I’m so glad Draven is getting a taste of his choices and how hurtful they are. I love that Sophia is willing to give him a younger lashing for what he has done. A boyfriend for Kiera, and of course, he is supernatural. But she is genuinely nuts to add on to her pain. She wants to be spending time with the one man who broke her.
It is weird to read about Kiera with a boyfriend who isn’t Draven. Of course, all her dates seem to epically fail with the boyfriend more interested in work than her. Of course, like always, Draven does finally beacons sweet start to earn back her trust and love and explains why he did what he did. However, we also get crying Kiera back, and of course, she gets retaken because the entire world is out to get her. And, of course, this book ends on a cliffhanger.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 5th in the Afterlife Saga and ends in a cliffhanger. Keira has a new boyfriend, Alex, that everyone either doesn’t like or is warning her about. Dom is still undecided whether to go against the Fates and reconnect with Keira. I absolutely LOVED the chapters in Dom’s POV.
>Keira seems to suffer from low self-esteem due to Alex’s careless treatment of her and her loss of the love of her life (Dom). The second chance given to Dom and Keira in Italy is so sweet. I wonder what the Fates really have under their control though.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. No matter the danger Keira is in, old friends/strangers always step up to help her out.
