This book was presented in a very clear and relatively easy-to-follow format. The exercises were quite comprehensive and really took you through all the different features of Excel 2010. My classmates and I did find it a bit difficult to follow sometimes, as the book doesn't show screenshots for some steps where it would be helpful. Sometimes the book describes where to click (status bar, menu bar, etc) but all those terms regarding the "anatomy" of the Excel workspace are so easy to confuse that it was sometimes hard to determine where we were really supposed to click.
Other than that, though - the reading and the exercises combined well to give a great overview.

This manual of a textbook explains, fairly well in laymen's terms, the interworkings and functions of Excel. It covers the bare bones of the program while getting meaty on many practice exercises throughout (which is probably the best feature of this textbook). Overall, I could understand the vernacular, but according to my instructor, some of the exercises were flawed. Nonetheless, I recommend this textbook to all who want to know more about Excel or want to freshen up their skills.
