I know I shouldn't have read this since reviews pretty much spelled disaster. But I just wanted to finish the trilogy since I loved the first 2. Well, this book added nothing new to the story except to pretty much ruin any good feelings I had for this couple. Seth is a selfish asshole, Olivia is a dumb pushover, and Selena really needs a good slap.

So now I'm just pissed that the author ruined the trilogy by making her characters act completely ridiculous.

*I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!!♥♥*

Whatever the verdict, it's JUDGEMENT DAY.

Readers~~ Get ready to live and breathe the final moments of our favorite bad boy meets good girl couple: Seth and Olivia.

Without giving out too much, we meet the couple right after Too Consumed left us: with Seth and Olivia getting married!! *squee!* Picking up right after that, we see them through their ups and downs, downfalls and triumphs as a couple, and Seth bringing himself to the brink of seeking his revenge against rival, Don Russell.

“I rule this arena.
This is my kingdom and I am the king.”

Skyla really treats readers as we get to witness not only the HEA of “Selivia” but particularly one precious moment that will leave you in seventh Heaven!! [*I know I was!!*]

I personally really enjoyed myself as I got to journey with this couple from humble, sensual beginnings to an all out and around solid and permanent partnership. The author does a splendid job in not only the love and fighting aspects of this story but also an amazing job on focusing on the simple and most important things in life that you shouldn't take for granted.

So over all, an astounding end to this delectable and heartfelt trilogy!

Seth and Olivia, you will be missed!!

“Being with Seth is the best feeling in the world. There are no outside problems. It's just us, all alone, consumed by passion and the need to take each other to the brink of chaos. It's in those moments that I feel like everything is okay, that everything is perfect.”

*P.S: And yes, for you Jackson and Selena lovers, they're still in the mix!! But their relationship is rather complicated and strews through “a vicious cycle” as Seth puts it. *sighs* I'm still hoping for a book on them though! Even even a Chase book as well!! I'm still so curious about him!! Fingers crossed!*

“He is my soul mate, my other half. He is the love of my life, the one person who stormed into my world demanding attention and saved me from myself. I can feel it now… I am different.”

This is the final part of Seth and Olivia’s story. They both overcame many challenges in the previous two books and now there is just one more- Seth and Don Russell have one last fight. So of course Seth is mainly focused on it. But he is still struggling with his past and the fact he believes he is not worthy. He is scared. Seth has to win the fight of his life but will he be able to balance between his thirst for revenge and stay the same person Olivia fell in love with?

Olivia on the other hand is ready to do and sacrifice everything for Seth. But she has to overcome few more obstacles in order to get her ‘happily ever after’. It’s almost unbelievable how good and supportive she is. She is the only person Seth listens to but even she can’t handle him most of the time.

“I see the demon he really is, and although I admire the sweet, angelic side of Seth, I will be forever consumed by his dark side, the side that does what it wants and takes what it believes it’s owed.”

My thoughts: First of all, I really like this couple. Seth and Olivia are really different but somehow it works for them. This book is definitely the hottest in the series and it was great to experience the passion between these two.

However….I didn’t like Seth in this book. . I think he is too selfish, arrogant and sometimes a total child. I just wanted to scream to him: GROW UP YOU ASSHOLE! Anyway…..I still enjoyed reading it and I loved how their story ends.

I hate to leave bad reviews but I really disliked this book and didn't finish it with about 40 pages left to go. Olivia is a doormat.

Writing: There is room for improvement. There were technical errors, misspelled words and then just confusing sections.

Confusing example - "His hand lingers there for a few seconds before he runs a living finger along my side, making me shiver." What the heck is a living finger? Can I get one? I want to shiver.
description/

Characters: Let's see...Olivia, Olivia, Olivia. I enjoyed her in the first 2 books (I think), but I wanted to climb into my phone and slap some sense into her in book 3. She had no back bone. Seth could be sweet, but after the kissing scene, he was on my crap list. Jackson was an interesting character with a lot of issues. He also has lots of tattoos - Yum! Selena is a very selfish character, AND SHE KISSED HER BEST FRIENDS HUSBAND. The tramp! UGH! Darryl was my favorite. The voice of reason.

Storyline: If I remember correctly I enjoyed book 1 and book 2. However, I was not impressed with book 3. There wasn't enough substance to it for me. There were major life events that happened, but nothing to really base a book off of.

RANT SESSION IN PROGRESS-
So, Seth and Olivia are married in this book. Seth's boss, is hounding him about amping up the pub for the upcoming fight. Selena's bright idea has Seth kissing two women and one of them was her, who he kissed twice. GET THIS...Olivia brushed it off. Ha ha. No big deal.
description/

Then Skyla Madi had narration sections about forgiveness and why Seth's actions were easy to forgive.
description/

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm assuming Skyla is not married since she can reduce the sanctity of marriage vows so easily in this passage. My favorite part of this scene was when Darryl laid into Seth for kissing those two girls.

Then Olivia asked Seth how would he feel if she kissed Jackson. His response: "I would kill him." Olivia's response...wait for it...ha ha. No big deal.
description/

But wait, there's more - Olivia and Seth are expecting a child. They're married and having sex, so YAY right? WRONG-O Mary Lou.

Seth tells Olivia to have an abortion
description/

What was Olivia's response you ask? Ha ha. No big deal. Shocking...I know.

When Selena asks Olivia if she is keeping the baby, get this...Seth blows up. This time Olivia thanks Seth...SHE FREAKING THANKS HIM for defending her. But wait, didn't your husband tell you to get an abortion yesterday? Now you want to be offended?
description/

RANT SESSION COMPLETED

Intimacy Scenes: There was one scene that was pretty spicy. Seth does a little dirty talking. Jackson has a short scene in Seth and Olivia's hotel room. Really short like one sentence, but I found it funny. Something you don't expect when you walk through the door.

Overall: The book was okay. It needed more substance. I was hoping the book would end Seth and Olivia's story with a BANG! However, that is not what happened. My most common emotion while reading this book was anger. Marriage was really reduced to a free for all. There was no sacredness.

**I was gifted a copy of this book**

I was honestly really disappointed with this book. I fell in love with Seth and Olivia in Consumed and was very happy with how that book ended. I understand (after reading the author's note at the beginning of Forever Consumed) that Skyla Madi wanted to make readers/fans happy by continuing the series, but this was probably not the best way. A novella, after Consumed would have been great or an update in Selena and Jackson's book could have worked as well. I do appreciate when an author cares enough about her readers to do something like this but for me, it didn't work this time.

*****SPOILERS*****

I absolutely can not deal with secrets, lies and cheating in my books. I'm upset that the author would wait until the third book to write about Seth betraying Olivia! In this story, I really expected hearts and flowers with maybe a little drama involving Don. Nope, I got a husband who obsesses over his wife but then kisses her best friend and another woman. A best friend who he didn't even really like! A best friend who IMO is not really a friend at all! Selena has been really sketchy this entire series and for her to do something like this and keep it a secret?? It was even worse when Olivia found out...she IMMEDIATELY forgives them...there was no hesitation on her part with Seth and it took maybe 5 minutes for her to forgive Selena. It was interesting that Seth mentioned a few times in the book that he can do almost whatever he wants and Olivia will forgive him. I do understand forgiveness because I in fact forgive people pretty quickly as well, but not without some screaming and maybe some time spent apart.

Next, the author felt the need to explain some of the actions of the characters. When Olivia was turned on by Selena and Jackson by the car, we got an entire paragraph of why that happened. These explanations happened quite often in the book and it bothered me a bit that the author felt the need to explain herself.

Overall, this was not my favorite in the series but I'm happy that Seth and Olivia got their HEA. Great epilogue!

I have to admit I was very disappointed in Seth's actions and even more disappoint that Olivia didn't stand up for herself when she found out. I love the first two books but I have to admit this one was ruined with Seth's stupidity.

3.5-4 Star

Hmmm, where to begin with this review? I would say this book was okay, but definitely not as good as the rest of the trilogy. I still love Seth and Olivia, but not as much as I did in the last two books. They both disappointed me in this book. There were a lot of moments where I truly did not understand what the hell Seth and Olivia where doing, especially Olivia. I wanted her to have more of a backbone than she had in this book. Whenever Seth did something really stupid and something one would think would really upset Olivia, and she just rolled over and accepted it. I mean, she's supposed to love Seth with her whole being, and yet he does things that are seriously not okay for a husband to do, and she just accepts it and instantly, I mean literally instantly forgives him. Huh?

description

There was still a lot of hot, steamy, sex scenes in this book, but... I felt like that's mostly all there was. The fighting took a complete back seat in this book, which really sucked because that's what defined Seth in the first place! It was basically, angst, sex, drama, sex, sex, angst and drama, sex, sex, drama drama drama, sex. The end. Don't get me wrong, it was still hot sex and well done, but there was so much sex and so little storyline it made it not as exciting. And how many shower sex scenes can there be before it gets a little boring? Once again, still hot, but boring...

description

Seth's love for Olivia was still completely tangible and consuming, but he did so many hurtful things I was shocked they didn't fight at all. He really did learn from his mistakes, but that doesn't excuse what he did, especially when . His actions at the pool to get back at Don deserved at least somewhat of a fight between Olivia and Seth. How can a woman not flip out just a little when ? And then he keeps it a secret to "protect" Olivia, so he doesn't lose his fight. Whaaaat?

description

description

I thought there was good build up to the fight between Seth and Don. Their utter hate for each other built up so much tension, I was just dying for Seth to win. And everything Seth had to deal with really made me unsure if he could overcome his problems and win. His dreams creeped me out, just those alone made me question if he could get his act together. Add all the drama with Olivia and it seemed like a recipe for disaster.

description

I loved the ending up until the last 5-10% of this book. And then I wanted to throw my kindle on the ground and have a fit like a little child. Two things killed the ending for me. First that . WTF! That has been the defining aspect of this whole series and then it's just over?! I cant believe Skyla Madi did that. The other thing that I didn't like about the ending was that. I feel like this is a tired ending to romance books. As if it's necessary for that to happen for a couple to be happy or have their HEA. I was left really sad and disappointed when I finished this book. It made me wish the series had ended at the second book.

5 «adorable final» stars ⭐️

5 "everybody needs their own Seth Marc" stars

and it's over! it's concluded! it's wrapped up! it's settled! it's done!

and I have my closure.

as I said from the first book Seth Marc is my younger Remington Tate/Remy, and that alone is a huge deal!

this was a final countdown on the life journey of Seth and Olivia, two young people who got together against the odds, who pulled through the hardship that we also know as "life" yeah life happens, brings shit around but it also kinda grows on you, brings you together and makes you realize that the secret of life is in the small stuff, the good stuff.

Seth and Olivia are such wonderful characters, they are both strong and vulnerable at the same time and we also have a word for that - human. LOL yeah, they are human, they bleed, they hurt too BUT they also survive, growing and learning together, about themselves and each other and the funny banter between them, hilarious...

damn, i think i'm repeating myself...

I also liked Jackson, Seth's loyal friend and sparring partner, Darryl, Seth's trainer and mentor, a real father figure and there's also Selena (Olivia's best friend who is often everything but that - she's the only one I had difficulties accepting cause she's so messed up and her relationship with Jackson is such a fucked up thing that it actually bring out the worst in her...but they have theit own book, so lets leave it at that!) and Don Russel, Seth's nemesis, thorn in his sight, a blunt marionette of a MMAC organization and its management who was so used by the machinery that i actually felt sorry for him inspite him being an evil and stupid peace of shit!

anyway, this instalment meant they all have a closure to their journey, they fullfill their purpose, they pull through the troubles and turmoils, they push the limits and make a good grounds for their new tight family...

and there's also a final fight - phenomenaly described - like i was there and that fight represents the LIFE - the meaning of life - you go down, you get up, you stick it up not just once BUT constantly, over and over and over again - those that make you vivid and alive...so pull your hands up, head low, eyes straight and...give your fucking best shot...

Trishswirl If you read this blog with any sort of regularity, you know that around here, we love Skyla Madi. And we love Seth Marc. So when we got the opportunity for an exclusive early look at the final book in the Consumed Trilogy... well... let's just say there was shrieking.
As you should know by now, a 5 star smut rating is one that requires us to wake our husbands in the middle of the night. Forever Consumed started out that way because when we got the book (about 2am one night) we both freaked out and told our husbands immediately. Even though they were sleeping. I can't speak for Megan's husband, but mine wasn't nearly as enthused as I was. His loss.
Suffice it to say:

Overall Rating: 5 stars- Screw sleep! I’ll let the kids watch TV and eat hot dogs tomorrow.
ForeverConsumed_Smashwords_BNSmallerThis is it.

My revenge.

I can taste it on my tongue, it's sweet and it's addictive.

I've worked way too hard to settle for second best and I will come out on top.
------
Seth Marc is back and training harder than ever before to redeem his loss to Don Russell. Tensions are high but stakes are higher as MMAC founder, Matt Somers, forces Seth and Don to train under the same roof.
Though Matt Somers believes it's only good fun to provoke the two for publicity, he doesn't realize just how serious the situation is.

With Olivia by his side, Seth Marc pushes himself to his limits and struggles to keep opponent, Don Russell, out of his head as they fight it out one last time.

Man, did Skyla knock this one out of the park. The only thing bad I have to say about the book is that it's the last one. Skyla tells me (cause we're besties, ya know?) that there will be a book for Selena & Jackson, so I'm hopeful we'll get to check in on Seth and Olivia again, but for now, this was their final book. And that's sad. Except that it was just. so. good.
"How can you be more attracted to me than I am to you? Have you seen you?"

Really, all I can do is gush. Skyla asked for honest feedback and I tried really hard to give her something critical and just, frankly, couldn't. This was an unedited ARC, so there was a typo or two, but they were so minor that even if it had been a final copy, it wouldn't have taken away from the book at all.
"Just a boo--" I pause and take a breath. Non-readers just don't get it. When I get into a book I won't stop unless there are gushing tsunamis, erupting volcanoes and twirling tornadoes heading straight for me. I'm talking real end of the world shit -- not dinner. What's food when you're in the middle of a good book?
"This is more than just a book. It's a story about cowboys and damsels in distress."

I just had nothing to complain about. I was so out of sorts. Now, you'll have to read Megan's review because even though we both loved it, she found some things more upsetting than I did. I found the big conflict understandable and while I was worried, I wasn't devastated. Megan cried. (She'll tell you about it, I'm sure.)

I felt like the conflict was believable and well done. The resolution was fair.

And then there was just everything else. More chances to hate Don. A couple of really intense fight scenes (I've never been into MMA, but this book makes me want to check it out!) and the smut......Good Lord above, the smut. :fans self: Yeah. It was good.
"Do you want me to fuck you like I lost you?"

What I'm telling you is that you need to buy the book. It releases June 3rd. There isn't a pre-order link yet, but believe me, I'll update this post when one becomes available. But put it in your calendars. This is a must read.
"I love you baby. Only you, forever."

Smut Factor: 5 stars- Had to wake my husband at 2am to quench my “need.”
Character likability: 5 stars- He’s my book boyfriend and I want to BE her.
Storytelling: 5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.
Writing and editing quality: 5 stars- Excellent!

I would say this book was about 2.5 stars. After reading the forward by the author stating that Too Consumed and Forever Consumed were never planned, but only written because of fan requests, I can understand why I liked Consumed so much more than the books following it.

I will say that I liked this book better than Too Consumed - I felt that it had much more of an actual storyline holding my interest. And I really liked the Epilogue - I felt it was the most well written part of the book.

The rest of the book seemed to be a lot of descriptive sex scenes (and some the phrasing in those made no sense - what is a "verbal shudder?") or what appeared to be a lead in to the upcoming book about Jackson and Selena.

Like other reviewers, I thought that Olivia played the part of the doormat more than in the other books and if it were me, I would have kicked Seth out and not looked back. But then, that's not the way these books go.

All in all - I'd say that my love for Consumed kept me interested enough to finish the series, but I almost wish that there had just been the one book. It was almost perfect just the way it was.

I absolutely adore this series. I love the dynamic of Seth & Olivia. They are fully developed characters in this installment, and - as with the 2nd book, Too Consumed - the story is about them as a couple & what's going on in their lives. There is of course some drama, and there are disagreements, and there's a whole host of things going on w/ Jackson & Selena that are just crazy pants. There is emotion and beauty. But in all of that, even when Seth flies off the handle & says or does something stupid, he & Olivia work through things by communicating & listening to one another. Even when they listen & then disregard... LOL

This was a fabulous conclusion to a beautiful trilogy. It's not the end of the story - I think Selena & Jackson are getting a book, and I'm sure we'll get to see Olivia & Seth a bit there.

This series is on my 10++ list, and my keeper/re-read shelves. I love it, and I love especially the way this author chose to continue the story. I love that even tho it wasn't planned, she made it beautiful. : )

Firstly let me start by saying I loved these books! There were moments in this series which had me swooning like a school girl - and I just loved reading how much people can love each other.

Having said that I found this book to be a bit lacking.. Although we got our closure for all things Seth and Olivia there were parts of this book, I just couldn't wrap my head around... I couldn't imagine forgiving my partner for saying one of the things Seth said to Olivia! And I really cannot imagine having much forgiveness for a best friend who behaved like Selena..

I was on edge for book 3 - and I found it to be a let down! Love Seth and Olivia - and definitely love Skyla Madi, but not my favourite book in the series.

Forever Consumed by Skyla Madi
description

Forever Consumed is the third book in Skyla Madi's Consumed fighting series. It opens with Seth and Olivia's wedding months before his rematch to his arch nemesis, Don Russell. Seth is feeling the pressure of the upcoming fight and begins suffering from nightmares, Olivia serving as his only comfort when he wakes in distress. Curves are constantly thrown at him by the MMAC and he finds himself pulling away from every emotion and every one he loves- including his new wife. As the fight draws closer, Seth and Olivia are thrust in uncomfortable situations and their relationship is tested and pushed to the absolute limit. Seth is in the best condition of his life after training at max speed for months but will his quest for revenge cost him more than he bargained for?

Too Consumed left me in a fit of rage. Don Russell in a villain I had no problems hating. The wait for Forever Consumed was not a pleasant one and I was thrilled when I received my copy. Easy read from first to last page. I found myself frustrated much of the time with several of the players this time around. There is a lot of Jackson and Selena and the angst those two bring to the story has me craving to read more about them. Though Selena annoyed me a bit- her and Jackson oozed a large amount of sexy! Matt Somers and Don Russell continue to provide a good deal of sleaze factor which made me want to vomit on my kindle a few times while reading. And Seth. Oh Seth, how you wavered from sweet to doucheiness in such a quick manner- I found my neck aching from a bad case of whiplash. Though it was frustrating, I thought it was an honest reaction to the situation as a whole that had Seth reverting to some of his old ways of thinking. The only people who didn't bother me at all were Daryl and Olivia; those two were solid for the entire book and I was more than happy to cheer in their corner throughout what my family calls- my reading trance.

I realize I will probably be in the minority or completely solo in my thinking but I found Seth and Olivia had a little less heat and chemistry in Forever. I am sure it has a lot to do with Seth's mood and the distance he put between himself and Olivia. Whatever the cause I did miss the passion they possessed for each other- while they were fighting AND while they were boning. Seth's blatant errors in judgment weren't met with a lot of force from Olivia and while I understand that she has grown from the timid girl who put up with Blade; I wanted her to bare her teeth a little and make that husband of hers squirm a little. But as I mentioned before, Jackson and Selena did provide some of that sizzling dynamic and I can only hope there's enough there to warrant a book of their own- I have a feeling I'm gonna get what I want.

description

I enjoyed this series from beginning to end and I'm hoping that Skyla Madi will give us a little more of the characters we have grown to love, perhaps in a different series??? Forever Consumed ends this trilogy on a stellar note, I was extremely happy with how Seth and Olivia's story was wrapped up. While always the signal of a good series- I find that I will thoroughly miss Team Marc and the battles they fought mercilessly in order to best their opponents. This is the series that has turned me on to more similar themed books, allowing me to drift from the MC world for a spell. Skyla Madi's books have definitely made it onto my TBR list and I can't wait to see what else she brings us.

3 Estrellas!

This is the final book the Consumed Series by Skyla Madi.

The main focus of this final book in the series is on Seth preparing for his big fight and showdown with Don Russell. The books starts off with Seth and Olivia’s wedding and then moving on to the preparation for the big fight.

It really felt that you got to know Seth even better in this book, I think I feel in love with Seth in this book all over again. It was really great to see the journey Olivia and Seth have been on and seeing their relationship grow and become stronger and stronger. There are plenty of steamy scenes and some very heartfelt moments.
As usual the book is very well written and story flows really well. For me it was the perfect end to the series. You do get to see more of Selena and Jackson in this book and I’m looking forward to their stories. Skyla leaves little hints of their relationship through the series so I’m looking forward to reading more about them.

Overall a brilliant series which I will no doubt re-visit over and over again. A perfect ending to the series and I’m going to miss Olivia and Seth.

Forever Consumed the third and final book in this amazing series I never wanted to end...infact I got to 80% and stopped myself from finishing because I knew I'd be gutted when it ended...but alas it has come to an end and I knew I would be overwhelmed.
Olivia and Seth the perfect couple...face yet more obstacles in their new wedded life together...they handle them in the only way they know how.
The final fight was captivating, such brilliant writing I felt like I was right there ring side. ..and the winner well...we knew didn't we!
The side line story between Jackson and Selena made me eager to read their upcoming story...hope it comes soon!
And the ending....well it was sweet, heart warming and beautiful!
A truly fantastic series I know I will read again and again!
A massive huge 5 star award winning book.

AMAZING WORK SKYLA XOXO

So I just had the enormous pleasure of reading Forever Consumed before it was released and even though book two wraps Olivia & Seth's relationship up pretty nicely, I devoured book 3 as I'm a sucker for wanting more more more...and Skyla gave us more. We got to read new struggles that our favourite couple had to face and obstacles that they had to overcome but more importantly we got to see them truly grow and come full circle. I got to about the 70% mark and was so anxious on what was going to happen next but me being me kept reading with my heart beating fast in my chest. Some may disagree and say this book isn't needed but I disagree and I look forward to seeing more of Olivia & Seth in Jackson & Selena's story. Thanks Skyla for giving your readers what they wanted.

I hate to leave a bad review but this book is awful. I like the first book, the second not so much. This one is the worst. I hate leaving a book unfinished but I refuse to waste any more of my time with this book.

3.5 stars.... Olivia has no back bone!!!!! Yay for the HEA but it fell short with the Seth/Jackson//Don/Selena fiasco and Olivia's reaction :(

An absolutely perfect ending for bad boy Seth Marc's and his adorably ever forgiving wife Olvia Marc's. I loved this series from the very first book and I am sad to see it end

I have to start off with that I can't believe its done! This series has been such a captivating series, especially with seeing the characters evolve. Seth and Olivia are one of my favorites and they will go down in history as a very interesting couple.
The ups and definitely downs we see them go through as a newly married couple just makes me fall in love with them even more because Olivia really is the girl that loves her man. I understand that Seth did some things and say some stuff that definitely made me shake my head at him and be a bit disappointed but he proved to come out on top when he fought (literally) to show the world that Olivia and the title was his. I must disagree on some of the methods he took to help relieve the pressure to make the fight unforgettable but Olivia, in my eyes, proved to be a better woman because she listened to her man and despite Don's incessant goal to destroy their relationship; Olivia and Seth came out on top. I did tear up at some parts (the ones where Seth made a few mistakes) but the best part was the making up... The smut did prove its worth in this book. Olivia and Seth's relationship has never been normal. It didn't start off as a simple flame but was a consuming inferno that forever consumed them both. Their love for each other really showed through in this book.
Although I do have some problems with the book... It seemed a bit shorter than the other books and I understand that Skyla didn't want to drag it out but I felt at some parts, it was a but rushed. Besides that it was an amazing conclusion to Consumed trilogy.
The one thing that I didn't really care for regarding this book was Selena and Jackson... Selena irritated the living hell out of me and I felt sorry for Jackson. Jackson wasn't always perfect and I felt that Selena was trying to make him out to be. She may have changed because of Jackson but she was pushing him to change when he wasn't ready. Although Jackson is unaware of himself being in love with Selena, I would probably wait on wanting to read their story if there is one. All in all, this book was worth it for me and I recommend it as a MUST READ!

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

As I read the last page of this book, I found myself wrapped in a blissful cocoon of happiness! Following Seth and Olivia's relationship of ups and downs, I found myself yearning for the perfect happily ever after ending for them. Could this be the book that completed their journey? All my questions were answered, finally...yes it is! This was it. The ending I had craved desperately.

Forever Consumed is the third book in Skyla Madi's Consumed series. The story begins with Seth and Olivia getting married and a new journey begins for our couple. Seth seeks his revenge against Don for the injustice that had occurred from the previous fight. Olivia finds her place in the new world they are building together. Jackson and Selena are on again off again and we are given a glimpse into Jackson's past. There are many different elements that occur and Seth and Olivia's relationship are tested time and time again. Seth fights the demons from his past and finds comfort in Olivia. Will their love be enough to see them through?

Skyla Madi delivers again! She writes a story that evokes strong emotions from the reader. I recommend you get the book and see for yourself the amazing job the author did.

Forever Consumed deals with more emotions, not just passion between couples ( though there's still a lot, yes!) but more hidden depths and insights on the characters. It's nice to see how they've grown since book one. It was a journey of one guy who has commitment issues and a girl looking to find something redeemable about love, then found each other and decided to fight for their relationship.

Seth, I would say, is more human in this book, meaning, susceptible to mistakes. The first two books, he was this perfect combination of confident & cocky yet loyal & loving... all sides we loved and admired. But here, he succumbed to stress, made bad decisions. Yes, I was disappointed in one particular scene ( it involved him and Olivia, but won't do spoiler here) but maybe it's because I was used to his "perfectly cool" persona, and forgot that he can be rattled too. However, he redeemed himself. And having his POV showed things aren't always as they seem.

As for Olivia, I can see why some readers feel she's a doormat, letting the people she loves get away with a lot of things. I personally think she lets Selena walk all over her, but then, loving unconditionally isn't a bad thing. If it makes you sleep better at night because you don't hold grudges and you choose to accept your friends for who they are, then I guess it's a good thing. I think instead of being a character flaw, it's a sign of strength to not allow other people's weaknesses dampen your spirit. Plus, she knows how to fight for her guy, even against evil Don!

And may I just say how much I hate Matt Somers?

All in all, this is a nice conclusion to Seth & Olivia's story.. It still has the right formula that made their story hot & interesting. I'm still team Seth! And it has a sweet, perfect ending!

I'm looking forward to Jackson's story. That guy is one hot mess!

Forever Consumed was the final written chapter of Olivia and Seth's story - because we all know the characters' lives continue, if not on paper. I am pleased with the ending, though *Spoiler Alert* I'm not a fan of surprise pregnancies (not that it was much of a surprise, I pretty much guessed it as soon as she started puking). I'm glad Seth got his final fight, and won, against Don. I'm glad their marriage survived an unecessary situation. I'm glad Olivia and Seth both ended up happy with having a baby, *Spoiler Alert* and I'm very pleased that they ended up having a baby girl. The main thing I was disappointed in was Olivia's reaction - or lack thereof - when she watched the video of *Spoiler Alert* Seth and Selena kissing. I expected her to brush it off at first, because she was used to doing that with Blade, but I truly felt like she should have had more of a reaction, something a little similar to how she reacted to Selena's betrayal. I'm not saying she shouldn't have forgiven Seth (I mean, it was just a kiss and it was so obvious it pained him to have done it), but that whole scene was real anti-comactic and I was disappointed to see that Olivia was more upset with Selena. However, I'm glad she finally said something to the girl, because her sudden change in personality had me wondering where Olivia's best friend went. Other than that particular situation, I loved the story. In fact, my favorite scene from the whole trilogy was when Olivia and Seth first arrived at the desert. It was nice to watch these two grow as a individuals, as a couple, and as a family. [I wouldn't mind a spinoff of Selena and Jackson, though, just saying!]
