Siena wants Harrison, needs him, more than anything in the world, but she's falling in love with a man she can't have--Not without losing everything and everyone she's ever loved.
Harrison's set his sights on Siena and nothing can stand in his way--He's going to get her, or die trying.
I'm Colleen Masters, author of the Faster Series. Thank you so much for swinging by and checking out my stories! As an indie romance author, your support means everything to me. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I grew up in Central Jersey, and studied Theatre Arts and English at Monmouth University. (Going to college right next to the beach? Hell yes :D) My dream has always been to make a profession out of writing, so I moved to NYC five years ago and have been working my butt off to make that dream come true ever since. Right now, I'm living on the Upper East Side with my darling fiancé and our corgi, Frodo. (Bit of a lit nerd, what can I say?) All of my friends get such a kick out of my "survival job," but I don't really see my writing as a day job at all--it's way too fun for that!
These books are truly a labor of love, and I'm so happy to share them with you. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!
Sweet nothing... It a good story don't get me wrong... but when an author makes her characters strong, smart and sexy. Then turns around and they have no fucking brain.... it drives me batshit to know who's the villain yet the characters have no fucking clue.
That aside it's a goog read... a little misleading on the page count as I read books 1 - 3 and stared a 4th the same day... which 4 me is impossible that each book is over 300 pages.
RECOMMENDATIONS 1. New Adult Reader.... or Mature Young Adult 17+ due to some sexual explorations. 2. A good novella series to read between full- length novels.
Ok hear my out I gave this book a 5 star rating because the story is kick ass and I friggin love Harrison and Siena!!
Was there some errors? Oh yeah there were a few big ones even but I wouldn't let it deter me from the story. This is one of those series that if the author won't get an editor to clean it up it won't get what it deserves and that is RAVE reviews!!!!
I can't wait to read the next one I hope Harrison and Siena get their HEA!!!!!
I hate these mini novels. This book was not as good as the first one. Again we are left with a huge cliffhanger, only this time I will not take the bait. After reading the reviews for book three and finding out that there is yet another book coming, I have decided I am DONE!!
This was a quicker read than the first one. While Senia and Harrison keep their secret, things around them seem to be falling apart somewhat. They can't figure who is taking the pictures of them. While Senia fights with herself when would be the best time to tell her family, Enzo goes full on rage before a race and when Senia finds out why, she is so scared. Scared for Enzo, Harrison and herself. And as she fears, there is a big wreck with Enzo and Harrison. Will they both survive? Who could possibly have it in for her and Harrison to send blackmail pictures? And then the news her father tells her and Enzo is a total shock. Can they all survive this secret? As long as they keep this secret, they keep falling faster and deeper. Yes this one ends in a cliffhanger too, but I think it is worth the read.
The same problems as the first book in this series:
The titles are atrocious, it has no resolution except to point you to the next book, and there were rambling bits that should have been edited out.
The book, like it's predecessor needed someone to clear up the little things that seem to get lost in the writing process (like a conversation where two people say "What are we going to do?" back and forth to each other for three paragraphs). The conflict started to get muddy and while I'd still like the main characters to wind up together.... I'm not emotionally invested anymore. I'm not sure if I'll read the next in the series or not....
I read 'Faster Deeper', the second book in the 'Take Me series', in one sitting. I really liked seeing Siena and Harrison spend time getting to know each other more. Sexy time is great but it is not enough to make the loving relationship they claimed to have. Harrison’s character has evolved more in this book to be more than a playboy racer. I feel Siena should have defended her relationship with Harrison more when the truth came out but otherwise love the book. I can’t wait to see is my suspicions are correct about their blackmailer!
I will give it a 3.5. I still dont know what the big deal is with them being together. I am ashamed of Siena family they treat her like shit. Why is it Enzo can do wtf he wants and its a big deal for her to be with Harrison? I cant believe nothing happened to Enzo with that crap he pulling during the race. I think i know who is behind everything! I do want to know wtf Shelby so mad at Siean tho!
Oh this story frustrates me!!!! Why are they making their relationship harder than it needs to be??? Guess we wouldn't have a book otherwise. Yet I find the current story to be unrealistic.
the storyline is great... love Harrison... but the only thing that throws me off is all the errors... there is a lot of grammar mistakes and makes it a little hard at times I had to read the lines over to actually get what I was reading. but I do like the whole racing and love story
I'm reviewing this and Faster Deeper together since, let's face it, they should have been one book.
Let's just get this out of the way: these titles are so on the nose that they're hilarious. It's like the author gave a 14-year-old naming rights to her works. That being said: it doesn't matter what you call these books, they're good. The separation of books one and two in this series felt arbitrary and artificial to me; the action in these books take place over a portion of a single F1 season, which is still taking place going into the third book (I gather, from book 2's epilogue). I will never understand the compulsion to break into three parts stories that should be two or even one book. What is gained in revenue will probably be lost in poor reviews from readers who don't appreciate the tactic. The revelation at the end of the second book felt like a fitting place to pick up the action in this series, and would have made for a more natural break from the first part of the story.
Another thing: this is a very enjoyable series, but these books should not be considered "new adult". This is a contemporary romance novel featuring adult characters, period. The protagonists aren't on the brink of adulthood, they're full-fledged adults of 25 and 28(ish) with demanding jobs, extensive social support networks, and only semi-tragic parents. That being said, these were hot, enjoyable books. I liked seeing Siena embrace with both hands what she wants out of life; when hot, sexy Harrison is who she's embracing, so much the better. In a few well-executed scenes, Ms. Masters was able to show that Siena balanced familial duty with her own wants in such as way that her own desires always took a backseat to everything F1-related (sorry for the car metaphor; totally unintentional). Likewise, although there's less of Harrison and none of his perspective, he seems to change for the better once he becomes involved with Siena.
Although their romance was hot, seeing Siena become her own person, instead a cog in the Ferrelli machine or a supporting player in the Enzo show, was the most rewarding part of this series. I liked how she and Harrison had to figure out how to navigate their relationship, and that they both made realistic missteps. I am anxious to learn of the resolution to their problems, and can't wait to read book three.
This is the second book in the the Take me series. This book, unlike the first one, didn't come with a warning.
Siena wants Harrison but knows her family and team will not approve. Someone wants to scare them and takes a bunch of pics and threatens to give them to the media. They sneak around and even try not to see each other but they can't seem to stay away.
These books are so transparent its comical. It is crystal clear who is behind the blackmail to everyone except Siena and Harrison. Clearly the only one that can benefit from it would be another driver, even though Siena blames everyone but him.
I am not digging these books, but I am reading the next one in the series now.
Ah, forbidden love... who can resist the appeal? Try as we might, it is the same fact that we are breaking unwritten laws and sneaking around that holds a certain appeal. But for how long? How long can we hold on to our secret before the need to proudly walk out hand in hand with our partner and shout our love over the rooftops of the world (and a few selected representatives of the press) overcomes us?
The race is far from over. On the track, Enzo's and Harrison's animosity reaches new heights. On the sheets, Harrison's and Siena's passion reaches even higher. But new threats appear in the horizon. Who is this punk kid who snaps pictures of the hidden couple? How deep has Shelby's claws reached in Enzo's heart? And how long does Alfonso have left to prove to his daughter he loves and believes in her more than she could have ever guessed, because she is a Ferrelli, and family always comes first?
Surprises. Surprises everywhere. Surprise plot twists, surprise couples, surprise collisions (...ok, maybe not much surprise there, we could see that coming miles away), surprise decisions, surprise butt sex (though I have to say, the author's unwillingness to be a little more explicit in her descriptions had me scratching my head as to which "love hole" are we talking about now). I was very touched by the family issues in this 2nd part of the greater "Take Me" saga, and I could feel the conflicting emotions from the characters and everyone else involved.
Wish I could say more, but I can't. I have to hurry up to the next part!
As Siena and Harrison’s story continues things around them seem to be falling apart somewhat as they carry on with there secret relationship.
The mystery deepens when they can’t figure who is taking the pictures of them. While Siena struggles with herself as to when would be the best time to tell her family about the relationship with Harrison.
Then things turn to shit when Enzo seems to go off the rails bat shit crazy before a race. Siena works out the reason for his rage and her fear for Enzo and Harrison practically floors her.
This book keeps you on the edge, will they both finish the race safely, who is taking the pictures, who is behind the black mail, can they survive the secrets?????
I kind of have suspicions of who the culprit is part way through this book and i hate that i maybe have worked out who is behind all the troubles so early on, but it has still been a great read.
Then Siena and Enzo’s dad drops the biggest news ever to add to the mix makes for great reading!
This is just as good as the first and another cliff hanger, just makes me want the next one. Cannot wait to read the next book in this series, gripping stuff.
This second book picks up basically where book one left off and the story really takes off! Sienna is left dealing with the photos and keeping the boys in line.
“Quit with the pissing contests, and do your goddamn job which, last time I checked, was racing not constantly whipping it out to see whose is bigger.” —Siena
There’s plenty of male testosterone, but the female characters remain smart and strong. Meanwhile, Siena and Harrison’s relationship carries on, and it’s refreshing how they handle their relationship issues like adults. When faced with turmoil that might cause a less mature character to give up, these two look for solutions to their problems using their skills, talent, and a level head. They have faith in each other and believe in each other despite the obstacles their relationship faces. The drama in the story comes from outside forces, which keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen next.
Faster Deeper is fueled with excitement and a touch a mystery as the blackmail suspects pile up while being narrowed down. More hot and daring love scenes are a big plus. The story isn’t over so once again the ending leaves you waiting for more.
Harrison just keeps getting better and better. This re-formed playboy has got it bad for Siena and she burns just as hot for him. Things get more complicated but in the end Harrison is not running and does what he needs to keep Siena in his life. It seems pretty obvious who the person is that is blackmailing them but it’s still not revealed. After Enzo finds out he tries to crash him and Harrison that sends them both off the track for the next round. There is always a silver lining to things and for this, the rest that Harrison needs to recoup finds him back at home to London, only this time he has asked Siena to join him. She just found out that her father is dying from lung cancer and has refused any type of treatment. What should she do, spend the time off to be with her family or spend the time with her love?
I have somewhat the same issue with this book as I did with book 1. Lots of editing mistakes. Wrong names, grammar errors, and at one point, the word "stupider" was used.
Again, like book 1, I do actually like the story and have already purchased books 3 and 4. I think that it's a great romance between Harrison and Siena and that has kept me interested even while the errors are making me crazy. And there still seems to be story to tell about Bex and Charlie and now Enzo and Shelby.
I have read a couple of series recently where the books subsequent to book 1 seem rushed and the story doesn't live up to the first book, but that is not the case here. I'm still finding a great story.
I can only hope that the errors are fewer in the next two books.
The story gets better in this installment. Harrison and Siena's relationship is going strong but still its in secret. Someone is out to profit from there secret romance. A member of the Lazio family faces a health crisis which means the truth of Harrison and Siena's relationship revelation couldn't have come at a worser time. As she was staying with him in his London home. I think I know for sure who the culprit is behind the pictures and what lead them to reveal it. The keeps getting better and better. The writing of the racing scenes really spectacular. I look forward to seeing how they deal with betrayal and if Siena will ever have the trust she once had in family because she may need now more than ever.
Now that's more like it, this second book is soooo much better than the first. There's more backstabbing and angst than enough and a lot more steamy sex too. Yes it still has a lot of F1 racing but with this second book it focuses more on Harrison and Siena. Tissues are needed for a little bit, but its not full on ugly crying. I am tempted to read the third and fourth books but i think the author could have put more in to the first and second books and made this series into a trilogy as these books can be on the short side. I will give this book 4 stars as it has been better than the first but it still needs a little something more.
I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of this book for review. I thought the story was wonderful and Siena stood out as such a strong character. She stood up for herself when needed and held her ground with her family when defending herself and her actions. Harrison of course was Hot, hot, hot! He may have a reputation as a bad boy but with Siena he is so sweet, understanding, and considerate. He is hard and tuff on the outside with a warm, gooey center ;) Overall, the story was the perfect mix of sex, angst, action, and love!
Faster Deeper is the second part of this series, following Sienna and Harrison's love affair through the world of F1.
In this book, we see how things heat up between them as their passion and affection for each other grows. Still, they have a lot of obstacles to face and until they manage to overcome those, they won't be able to enjoy a happy life together.
I have come to like this series characters and I am looking forward to reading part three, hoping that they will find the happy ending they deserve.
Harrison and Siena are continuing their secret love affair and the excitement just keeps going.
Between trying to keep the public from finding out and her family, it's one that I couldn't stop reading. But, when things happen beyond her control, boy does all hell break loose!!
I love Harrison and Siena's relationship and seeing no matter is going on in their lives, they always seem to make time for the other one and I look forward to jumping into book 3!!
Things just get even more screwed up for Siena & Harrison. I'm not real fond of her brother Enzo he it turns out to be quite the douchebag. Siena gets some heart breaking family news. I think I know who's behind the take down of Siena & Harrison but I will have to wait until "Faster Longer" to find out if I'm right. Lots of hot steamy sex. Lots of drama. So far this series has been quite the page turner.
Holy cliffhangers! All I can say is, is book three out yet? Book two of this series is just as wonderfully written as book one. Again I couldn't stop reading it. Actually, I finished book one and immediately downloaded book two. I couldn't get enough of Harrison and Senia's story. While they work to overcome the hurdles thrown their way, they're also working to build their new relationship and love.
The second book in the series was definately much better than the first one for me. There's a lot of hot scenes and a lot of questions regarding the person behind the blackmail. I'm still thinking about the possibilities!... I was a little bit upset with Siena in this one to, but she's in a predicament, so I let it go a little bit. This one ends with another cliffhanger, much bigger than the last one I think. Definately a series woth reading so far!
This was a quick read where I didn't want to put the book down. Harrison and Siena were trying to figure out how they were going to come out while dealing with blackmail, bad new,s and bad luck on both sides. Then just when they think they have it figured out.....BAM.....something happens that blows that idea out of the water.
Then Colleen leaves us with one hell of a cliffhanger.....UGH. Onto the next book!
Fabulous...Fabulous....Fabulous!! Absolutely loving this book series by Colleen Masters. Harrison & Siena....Wow....what chemistry they have together. They totally light up the pages when they are together. This book had my attention from beginning to end and Collen did a amazing job in setting up the storyline and throwing in twists and turns you wasn't expecting. Looking forward to reading the next book Faster Longer!!
Why I continue to read this saga is beyond me. I guess to torture myself. PLEASE GET AN EDITOR. There are mistaken words, sentences that are backwards, and that's just a start. The story has gotten a little ridiculous and the words used to describe them during sex are laughable. Also, who has sex with someone laying in a hospital bed, right after they almost died in an F1 racing crash ? Seriously ? We get the point. They can't get enough of each other.
This book got on my last damn nerve. The h, who is allegedly an experienced public relations professional, "tries" to hide a secret cough hack but she flaunts said secret in public constantly. Crawling on top of said secret (H) and doing him in a hospital room with the door open?! And then still two weeks after that - you go away with your secret and you do nothing. I would fire your ass. You're fired!
