In THE GIRL, Madhuri Blaylock introduced readers to the world of The Sanctum, one corrupted by greed and savagery and hellbent on achieving a single goal: destroying the prophesied hybrid. When one of its most celebrated warriors questioned his allegiances, age-old secrets were unveiled and violence erupted. The journey becomes more perilous and intense as the trilogy surges forward with THE BOY.

Can you cross the plains of death, collect every piece of your soul and make it back to the land of the living?

And if you complete the journey, will your loved ones welcome your return?

The Ramyan have been answering such questions since the creation of The Sanctum. A mysterious sect of Magicals, haunting the blank spaces of time and memory, they serve no one but themselves and their higher purpose. They exist on a plane removed from earthly matters, shifting easily between the living and the dead, moving in time to the beat of their own drummer.

At least they did.

Dev and Wyatt change all of that when the prophesied hybrid lands on the steps of Rinshun Palace, seeking help for the wounded Class A Warrior. That decision alters lives and sets old agendas back on course. But at what cost to Dev and Wyatt? And does that really even matter?

There is strength in numbers, in support and in love. Dev is a powerful, prophesied hybrid meant to be almost invincible and to save the world, but is she meant to be a solo act? From the moment Dev and Wyatt connected, there were sparks, and eh deadly journey they have faced is about to become even more gut-wrenching as their worlds are scarped raw by the blades of evil. A dark and secretive Magical Sect is slithering out of its lair to become the number one leader and powerbase, anywhere! Deceit and treason are in the air, a wolf is in the henhouse, so to speak, disguised as a sheep until he makes his move and the heinous and unimaginable becomes far too painfully real. Will death separate allies? Can the healing properties of the Ramyan break the veil between the living and the dead or will two souls have to wait just a little longer to finally be together in peace? When a warrior falls, the impact reaches far and wide, will it be like dominoes falling to the hands of evil?

The Boy by Madhuri Blaylock ramps up the tale of Dev and Wyatt, as well as it pierces the hearts and souls of their friends, allies and families. A war between families is happening and sides have been chosen, if evil wins, it will be the end of life as we know it.
Hang on for the rough and brutal world created by Madhuri Blaylock. Looking for sweet innocence with a touch of magic and tons of honor against the odds? Do. Not. Look. Here. Look here for rapidfire, hairpin turns, muscle shredding twists, heartbreaking moments on top of anger inducing moments on top of cringe-worthy moments as we speed down the mountain that is The Boy. Once you start, do NOT look back, because an avalanche of story is coming right for you, one word at a time.

Ms. Blaylock knows her craft, knows the tale she wants to tell and plunges forward, sparing nothing to bring action, adventure, evil and romance to each page. This is another gem filled with so much pressure and tension that by the end, you know you have a diamond in your hands.

"I've learned the hard way that tears accelerate nothing and dampen plenty."

This is the second book I have read from Madhuri and she still manages to blow me away. Her writing style is so badass but surprisingly easy to get through. Madhuri gives life to every single character that it feels life they grow out of the pages and go through their lives around me. This book started off right where the first one ended and it's intensity kept growing from cover to cover. The grief and passion was tripled in this one and I thought the first one was heart-breaking. There were new difficulties to overcome and I didn't know what was in store for the characters. Which scared me. This book was so brutal and gruesome that it had me cringing more often than not.
I can't even choose a favorite character to boast about since they are all too amazing. If I had to choose though, I would go with The Boy, Wyatt. His character development was spectacular, for lack of a better word. He was already amazing in the first book but he molded into an even more memorable male character to date. His journey was full of grief and my heart broke whenever his did. I cried whenever he cried and it killed me not being able to comfort him. I am too attached to the characters and the war between all of them was catastrophic to my heart.
Not to mention, Madhuri also created one of the most memorable villains as well. And in the WORST possible way! Her name is Ava. Ugh, I thought I hated Ava in the first book but nope, I surpassed hatred with this one. Madhuri created one of the worst people imaginable and I must admire her for that feat. Madhuri, not Ava. Ava needs to die or else I will crawl into the pages and do it myself! GAH!
Anyway, back to the characters I love, I am so scared of what's about to happen next!! I sense more grief in store for me and I don't know if I can handle it...

Disclaimer: I received this book through Good-Reads First-Reads

Wow. I was fully expecting to be a little lost as I did not get a chance to read The Girl - but there was no need to in order to fall in love with The Boy.

Madhuri Blaylock did an amazing job of catching the reader up with the story line without boring those who read The Girl.

This story read more like a love story of the many different unique characters then a science fiction novel. Madhuri does a wonderful job of blending the other worldness with romance, true love, and an openness of society that I think we should all strive for.

I have fallen in love with many of the characters myself - and I am actively looking for my own copy of The Girl. I look forward to more of this series being written and released - I fully believe that people who enjoy Science Fiction and/or romance will love this series.

Laurell K. Hamilton better watch out - Madhuri Blaylock has her sights set on being the foremost writer in a series of this kind!

What a great book in a great trilogy! I believe I enjoyed The Boy even more than The Girl. Such a wonderful group of characters and relationships. The addition of elements of the Ramyan ways definitely furthered both. Can't wait for part III. Keep on writing, Madhuri!

This review is long overdue but it is finally here!! I think that I will love anything that comes from this author because it was so freaking good!!!! If you haven't read the first book then STOP and read it.

Now if you have lets fangirl together :).

The Boy picks up right after the ending of The Girl. Everything has changed and sides has to be chosen. The whole clan's lives are changed. That is all I'm going to say on that note. I don't want to give the cliffhanger away.

The Girl (bk1) set the second book up really nice and I was happy for that. It helps you understand it better. In this part of the story I was able to understand and connect with the secondary characters from the first one. We got more of Darby whom I love. I think me and her could be best friends (minus the fangs lol). I like Jools a lot more in the second one than I did in the first book. She is maturing and I like that about her. She now has responsibilities as the head of the New York Branch.

To me this one had more action in it and some backstabbing going on. It was all nonstop. From the first page all the way to the end was engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love being sucked into the Sanctum world and how the author was able to create it amazes me. The writing style and plot was great. All of the characters are unique and how it all comes together just puts one big smile on my face 8D.

I can't wait to get my hands on the next one in the series!!

I loved The Girl, but the Boy was even better. In the first book, we were getting to know the characters and the history. The second book was nonstop action. The conflict amongst the characters (and themselves) created so much confusion that I did not want to put the book down. I wanted to see what happened next. I loved the contrast . . . good/bad, love/hate, life/after-life . . . nothing was ever what it seemed. Dev and Wyatt are two stubborn, love-sick fools. Ryker keeps you guessing. Ava is evil to the core. Max is definitely a chip off the old block. Jools is stronger than I would have imagined. Darby is as fun and exciting as I knew but she has a surprise weakness that is endearing. I loved reading more about the supernaturals in NYC. Excellent book. I can't wait to start The Prophecy.

Enchanting story! The only problem with the book is that it ended!

I loved Book One and was shocked to realize that Book Two was even better! From start to finish the book is engaging - it is hard not to wonder what will happen on the next page. The story was set brilliantly in Book One and yet the development in Book Two was unbelievable. The characters all pull you in - you either love or despise them. And the variety in the types of magicals is otherworldly. I am awed by the author's ability to create such imaginative characters and stories. This book is truly a gift of the imagination and well worth the quick read. I cannot wait for Book Three!!

Thanks Madhuri Blaylock for another amazing read!

THE BOY, Book II in The Sanctum trilogy, is a great sequel to THE GIRL, Book I.
The character development in Book II is perfect. The parallel dimensions are inspiring. The structure and tempo could not be better.
Madhuri's characters are real. We feel their emotional and physical pain.
Again the Vampire Darby, the ancient, powerful and beautiful Queen of New York, must be a fan favourite.
And who would not want to be a Ramyan and exist everywhere and forever. This concept may or not be real. Who is to say that it is not.
Again, there is more of the story to be told, there are issues to be resolved, and dangers to be faced. I can't wait for Book III.

Ms. Blaylock does it again! Her second book, “The Boy” picks up where the suspense left us in “The Girl”. Yet again, and through a series of twists and turns of emotions and tension, Dev and Wyatt come together again in a spectacular way! A little bit racier (!!!), and with all the same likable, and utterly dislikable, players also weaving their own intertwined webs, “The Boy” is sure to keep you up all night reading!

I ripped through this in two sittings (which I guess is not surprising since The Girl went pretty much the same way)... The sassy dialogue crackles off the page and the action never stops. Each character is more fierce and dangerous than the next. Looking forward to #3 and maybe a spinoff series for my fave character Darby the "Southern belle from hell" ....?

I forgot to update this when I finished it. I gotta say I love the parallel between the endings of the first and second book. I love how much we got of Ryker and Jools and Darby. Queen Ava Breslin continues to be the baddest bitch in the game and I can't wait to see how this crazy story ends!

Madhuri Blaylock followed up the first book in the series in a sensationally stellar way. She was able to encapsulate all that was Wyatt and transform him into something truly magical and inspiring while taking Ryker and having him become more endearing to us. Each character grows and develops a sense of sense as the book goes on. Each has their own trials and tribulations to go through and their struggles are felt on the pages and through the words. The story will move you as we get to see the direction in which the prophecy, the characters and the The Sanctum is going in.

Ryker: a character to just melt you. His smile, his convictions and who he is is beautiful in and of itself but his absolute love and devotion to his friend is gut wrenching. Her loves completely and Jools is lucky to be the recipient of this love. He changes though. Realizing who he is and seeing that he is half the person without Wyatt is devastating but Jools keeps him alive. His calm fortitude and support for Jools as she deals with the academy and all that is surrounding them is a sight to see. He is compassionate and caring, loving and understanding with a deadly presence as well. He essentially becomes a warrior in the most intense sense in this book. He embodies the concepts of the warrior with the compassion that is needed to be deadly and respected.

Jools: She grows up but does not necessarily become what she truly can be. she learns to be calculating and more of her brother's qualities are forced out of her so she may lead but she still lacks the fore sight to be calm and think things through. Ryker helps her there. Her passion is addicting and to watch her learn to become alone and let go of her mother and the love she feels for her and become detached so the pain doesn't eat her is sad to see. Always trying to show she is better than what people believe she has no fear. No regrets and no apologies for her actions. She loves wholly and fully and ryker is lucky to have that love shown to him.

qi: a enigma but I believe even if he did tick me off what he did in the end was what was needed. He is compassionate and knowing and with the hints of what he said Wyatt is one amazing Ramyan warrior far more superior than they hoped for. To bad for the doubts he has helped to place in Wyatt's mind for these have helped to close aspects off to Wyatt and caused him harm. All in all though Qi is a good man a compassionate man and I believe he and Wyatt will be at peace and see eye to eye one day.

Dev: such a spitfire. Her love for Wyatt accomplished miracles but her stubbornness almost destroyed him as well. When he needed her most she walked away due to fear and this left him alone and really struggling. I think though it helped him in the end learn more and become a better Ramyan but it was cruel. I understand protecting your heart but you also need to trust and support open yourself up so that beauty can occur.

Wyatt: went through the most change and growth. He is truly something special and you will smile as you watch him become alive in more ways than one. To see him as the boy in the legend in fascinating and I do wonder the significance. His time in the land of the dead and his perspective is unique. To watch him go through the trials and see what he has become is so fascinating for he learns to become a better man and better person and see that love is a precious gift. He also becomes more deadly as a warrior though and I truly believe Qi when he says he will be the best they see. although he harbours many doubts about himself due to others putting them there there is now a softness to him. a softer more compassionate side that was much needed. It was disheartening to see his mother shatter some illusions for him and treat him how she did. His father though so beautiful and so insightful. Wyatt is now a more calming storm and I think great things will come from him now as a Ramyan warrior.

the story itself is fast paced, intriguing and keeps you on your seat as you go through Wyatt's transformation to become a Ramyan warrior, his feelings of inadequacy, ryker's trials and tribulations and all the plots of the Breslin's as the prophecy is about to unfold and the battle lines have been drawn. I am anxious to see how this plays out especially with that new Ava moment. She was scary before but now wowza.

Where do I start with this book? The Boy by Madhuri Blaylock is another amazing read! I enjoyed the first book so much and I was really looking forward to this book. I had high expectations and Madhuri met every single one! The Boy has it all! Super awesome characters, a great story, magical creatures, good guys, bad guys, and super cute relationships! What more do you need?

The Boy is the second book in The Sanctum Trilogy. The Sanctum is made up of 10 families who all watch over magical creatures. In this book, we get to see Ryker, Dev, Wyatt, Jools, and Darby again! I really love Ryker and Jools! If you thought they were cute in The Girl, then you will absolutely adore them in The Boy!!! The group deals with many problems throughout this book. There is a shifter pretending to be one of them, and is causing a whole lot of trouble in town. Huge problems between the 10 families begin to arise, and the families begin picking sides. Is The Sanctum breaking? What is the reasoning behind the shifter? Isn't that illegal? Did Wyatt die? Was Dev able to save him?

"I am not sorry at all and only hope there comes a day when you wake and are able to look at me without feeling full of regret and sadness, when you are as thankful as I am that you brought me here."

This book starts right where The Girl left off. I love the detail and history Madhuri puts into her books and characters. It is extremely beneficial having background knowledge about The Sanctum, the Ramyan Warriors, and the prophecies /legends! The characters develop so much throughout this book, it is amazing! I will not talk about Wyatt, for the sake of spoiling anything, but Jools is absolutely awesome in this book! She is stronger than anyone could have given her credit for, and she is a natural born leader. Ryker always has, and always will put his friends before him. He is a very brave boy! Dev is still finding herself and trying to handle what she is and what she had done to Wyatt. Wyatt makes the best of all situations and somehow it all seems to work out. Oh, and lets talk about Darby! I love Darby! She is easily a vampire fan favorite. She confuses me a lot, cause sometimes I feel like she can easily turn on Ryker and Wyatt and be bad, but she never does. Darby is a hero in book two! She broke her own heart to save Ryker, but that is all I am going to say. I could talk about Madhuri's characters all day! I LOVE THEM!

This series is easily one of my favorite series! I am patiently waiting for the third book to arrive! Everyone needs to add this series to their TBR!

After reading the first book in the Sanctum series, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect: war, crazies, supernaturals, and some kick-ass heroines. And the second book delivers. We get to see more of Jools, who quickly matures as the Clayworths and their Sanctum allies prepare for war against the Breslins. Her relationship with Ryker gets more developed, which I love. And we get to see more of Darby Winthrop, who is quickly becoming my favorite character with her Southernisms and attitude. And we meet Dev’s teacher for the first time, as well as learn about the Ramyan warriors, who trained her. One thing took me by surprise in the book: it seemed to me that there was significantly more sex and other risque scenes in the second than in the first. However, it does make sense. Darby was always quite a lascivious character, so if you see more of her, then there’s going to be some racy scenes. And since the majority of The Boy takes place a year after The Girl ended, it’s no surprise that as the characters got older, without breaking up, they wouldn’t be sticking to just kissing.

All complaints I have is for the small stuff, and kind of superficial. Aside from a couple of typos, and the use of “taught” when it should be “taut”, at one point in the book the phrase “could care less” was used. This is a personal pet peeve of mine, because even though people drop the last two letters of ‘couldn’t’ when talking, and they can get away with it, it bugs me to see it in books, because if you’re saying you could care less, you’re saying you care. After all, if it’s possible to go lower on the care spectrum, then you have to care a little. The phrase “couldn’t care less”, however…

But like I said, that’s just a personal pet peeve of mine, and luckily it was used only once I. I think The Boy is a great follow-up to the first one, and an enjoyable and satisfying read, which is pretty impressive, since it’s hard for me to like sequels as much as first book. (Seriously, I wasn’t even a fan of Catching Fire). I think Sanctum fans will love this book just as much as the first.

Update: Madhuri just told me that she gave me a copy prior to final editing so a lot of those superficial things that I mentioned were taken care of.

At the end of "The Girl" the entire world of Ryker, Jools, Wyatt, and Dev is in a state of complete and utter chaos. The Sanctum is well and truly split, as houses are forced to choose sides for the coming war. "The Boy" picks up mere seconds after the closing scene sees Dev jump through a portal with Wyatt tied to her back. Wyatt is hanging on by the merest of threads, his life hanging in the balance while Dev makes a last ditch effort to save his life. Unfortunately, she didn't quite get what she was asking for. Meanwhile, the New York Academy is mourning the loss of their golden warrior, the one they expected to lead the Sanctum one day, and the next generation must step up and take control in the aftermath of the Breslin attack.
The book that follows will keep you on the edge of your seat, and flipping pages as fast as your eyes can read them. For me, that was roughly 5 hours worth of page turning, white knuckled, text message ignoring, single minded focus. This book did not fail to meet and exceed my expectations, and once again I was transported into the world of the Sanctum and the age old battle between what is good and just, and the evil that inevitably steps in to muck with it. As with the first book, the words painted a clear picture in my minds eye of the characters, both good and bad, and the story that unfolds around each of them until they are all drawn back together in the end. The writing is again, tight and to the point with no unnecessary fluff. I think this series has the potential to appeal to a lot of readers who already enjoy this type of story when they pick up the Dresden Files, the Rachael Morgan series, and for the teenagers I would compare it to the Vampire Academy series. Don't get me wrong, this author has definitely taken this subject and made it her own, as her world is her own. She has brought a uniqueness to the table of the modern paranormal that is refreshing, and has me excited and looking forward to the next installment of this epic tale.

I am pleased to review Madhuri Blaylock’s The Sanctum Book Two: The Boy as part of the Diverse Book Tours. In typical series fashion, Book Two begins where Book One ends – with a virtually indestructible Dev rushing to save the life of the one she loves – “the Boy” – Wyatt Clayworth. Will he survive? Will he be the same? Will there be justice for the actions taken against him, his family and their Academy?

The Boy provides answers to these questions and more. While Dev and Wyatt continue to embark on their journey, conflict and tensions, stirred by the brutal and bloodthirsty Breslins, arise among the founding families of the Sanctum. Lines are drawn and battles are fought. These events will eventually lead to either the fulfillment of the Prophecy or a Sanctum ruled by the Breslin family.

In The Sanctum Book One: The Girl, the characters were well-developed with personalities that were suited for their complex relationships. The Boy delves deeper into those relationships, particularly with Jools and Ryker, the Breslins, the Clayworths, the Morrisons, and Darby. Who can forget Darby – the beloved vampire/southern belle of the night? Book Two further expounds on Darby’s relationships with the Sanctum warriors, Magicals, and humans.

The story is simple to follow if you have not read The Sanctum Book One: The Girl. However, since this is a trilogy, it would be in your best interest to read the books in order. The Boy is true page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. I am looking forward to the conclusion of this trilogy.

Remember me reviewing The Girl which was packed with intense action? I did confessed about my unlikelihood of paranormal romance. Madhuri, again proved my own conscience wrong.

Well The Boy just doubles the fun. Madhuri's accustom to a reader writing does wonders. It hooks a reader, grabs his attention just as one is on an edge of wherever he currently resides, until one is done with it. It straightway picks where the first one landed and takes a reader to another unforgettable experience. I was pulled in From the beginning and am amazed of well written and descriptive the story is. Plotting is notable and noble. Recurrence of POVs between characters didn't affect me much this time, I guess I am used to it now. The pace is one again of my favorite part about this book. I enjoyed the second part even better.

Dev and Wyatt change all of that when the prophesied hybrid lands on the steps of Rinshun Palace, seeking help for the wounded Class A Warrior. That decision alters lives and sets old agendas back on course.

The Boy is the second book in THE SANCTUM Trilogy. I think I'll have to wait for the third.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
Amazing! I loved the continuation of Dev and Wyatt’s story! Watching the struggle that Wyatt goes through to recover and regain himself as he develops into an even more amazing warrior was truly great! His journey to re-discover himself and his relationships with those closest to him was an awesome way to even further develop this character. He has a real quality about him that makes you believe him. Dev’s journey of self while watching Wyatt train was a really cool little side journey, and I liked how it was more subtle but brought you more into the light about who her character really is and where she came from to become who she is now. I also loved how the relationship between Ryder and Jools develops and I was amazed by how the author was able to grow the maturity in Jools so quickly while keeping it realistic and keeping her character so driven! I loved the plot twists with Darby and I was so glad to see her more in the forefront of the story, she and Jools are still my favorite characters, though Dev and Wyatt are growing on me a little more now that I understand them better. I am anxiously awaiting the final book of the trilogy now, because this does leave you wanting to know what comes next, but it is bearable … as long as we don’t have to wait too long! I highly recommend this book for anyone that enjoys amazing plot twists, a little mystery, a little love, and a lot of action. A truly great read and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to discover it!

I burned through the second installation in the Sanctum Trilogy quickly. It gave me what I was hoping for and more.

The first book mentioned Dev's - Dev being the hybrid angel/demon protagonist of the stories and the catalyst for the major upheaval in the Sanctum world - training as a Ramyan warrior and hinted at legendary martial artists (I at once thought of Shaolin Monks and the immortals spoken of in the Tao at their first mention) and that's a sweet spot for me. I started on this series late so the trilogy was already available and I dared to dream that Blaylock would satiate my rabid curiosity of these mysterious beings and I wasn't disappointed.

My favorite characters are given more depth and new favorite characters are introduced. There is an intensely romantic back story of the southern vamp Darby and some very lusty scenes between her and her beau. We get to know this dark, complex man and I have to say I don't think I've ever read a more dichotomous character before. I hate to hate him - by principle I do but through Darby's heart I just can't.

I don't know how the story managed to pack more action in while simultaneously deepening character development but it was masterfully done. The story line also manages to reveal beautiful, ephemeral feelings and worlds while at the same time it gets much darker than it did in the first book. NO ONE IS SAFE. At once graphic and dangerous yet balanced with levity, sass, and sexiness - the author deftly takes you on a full emotional ride.

'The Boy' is a good sequel to the series, It starts off immediately after the ending in the first book 'The girl' and we get to find out what happens to Wyatt and Dev, and of course how the rest of the group handles their absence.

The author has written another master piece for "The Sanctum" series, we get to learn about the Ramyan culture and a bit of their secrets, more will hopefully be revealed in the upcoming book.

Can't really say much about the book without ruining it for you so i'l keep it short and tell you that it is just as good as the first book, and better in some areas, like i found this one to be more consistent and the character development was better, the characters develop at a steady pace and you can read them grow into better or in some cases worse people. The story is fast paced with a lot of action, intrigue and some backstabbing.

An excellent addition to the Fantasy genre, readers will enjoy reading this immensely.Younger readers should be warned that this book features a lot of mature content.Oh and before i forget, read the first book and then read this since it can not be read as a standalone novel.

I enjoyed the first book in The Sanctum trilogy but I enjoyed the second one even more. The Boy by Madhuri Blaylock starts off pretty much where The Girl left off. Wyatt is dying from a mortal wound inflicted by Max Breslin and Dev has brought him to the Ramyan hoping he can be saved.
Back in the Sanctum world Jools is now acting head of the New York branch, Darby's her usual Southern Vampire self, the Breslins are a-plotting and a-scheming, and someone is impersonating Ryker, killing Magicals left and right.
The action never stops as the plot and tension builds leaving the reader holding their breath during each chapter.
The Boy is actually one of the few series where I find myself enjoying all the characters and even the few characters I might have been cold toward in the previous book I’m totally starting to warm up to now.
The writing's excellent and while The Boy doesn't end with a cliffhanger this time I can hardly wait for book three.
I loved it. Madly.

I wasn't as lucky with The Girl as I was with The Boy. As soon as I finished The Girl I was able to dive right into The Boy. I knew that I was going to need to read it before I was half-way done with The Girl. Being the super genius I am I bought The Boy before even finishing The Girl so it would be readily available.
I am so very glad I did.
The Boy did not disappoint.
The ending of The Girl had me anxious to find out what happened to Wyatt. This story revolves around the undying love between Wyatt and Dev. The battle that each of them had to face to come back to each other. As a reader I wanted to bust them both in the head for being so stubborn, but it made the reunion that much sweeter when it happened.
I am not one that enjoys spoilers in reviews. All I can say is I am foaming at the mouth waiting for the final installment of this series.

Going to repeat what I said for Book 1, why didn't I know about these books before!!! This book picks up where Book 1 leaves off and takes you on an adventure that I don't want to ever end! The way Book 1 ended had me wanting to know what happened to Wyatt and in turn to see what happens with him and Dev. In this part you get all that and more, so much more. Everyone is back in this story including some new characters and they're all more than just supporting characters. What also made this story even more interesting to me was how even though this is Wyatt's story there's another story going on at the same time. I can't wait to read Book 3 and already am feeling sad that it's the end of the Trilogy and it's not often I will say that. If you have't read these book you must is a trilogy not to be be missed!

Madhuri Blaylock has done it again. "The Boy", book 2 of the The Sanctum series, is even better than the first ("The Girl"), and I thought the first was superb. I don't want to give anything away about the story as it is picking up at the cliff hanger ending from the first. So, I'll just say, the writing is sophisticated, the characters are well-developed, the plot is intriguing, complex, and at times heart wrenching, and the sex scenes (and there are a few!), well, I'll say it, they are just flat out hot (and without being tacky which is not always the case for every author). In short, Blaylock can write! I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

What an Amazing Science Fiction Story! I was pulled in From the beginning and am amazed of well written abd descriptive the story is! I was afraid to start on book two because I haven't read book one (The Girl). It did not matter because from experience I was not bored and I still understood what was going on without having to refer to book one.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fantastic Science fiction read! Come along and discover the world of The Sanctum! Journey through with the amazing characters and experience everything great about this book, the emotion, the great love stories and if course the action!

The cliffhanger in The Girl comes full circle in The Boy. I'm almost afraid to write a review; I'm so jazzed about the way The Boy ends (and don't want to spoil the whole thing for you)! I'll just say this: the baddest quartet in recent literature is in full effect. When is book 3 coming out? I need to see how this ends!

Goodreads win. Will read and review once received.

I will say I have not read the first book, but I still enjoyed the second book. Also, I plan on reading the first book in the series. The characters in the group were so great and the relationships were so interesting. I loved this authors way of writing. It definitely grabbed my attention and pulled me into the book.

Madhuri Blaylock's The Boy follows on directly from the first in the series, The Girl. After such an excellent start with book 1, book 2 proved to be the perfect follow up. Whilst the action and intrigue continue,  I loved learning more about the characters and the development of Jools and Wyatt especially held my interest. I can't wait until the next instalment of this magical series.

Even better than the first! This book had me in my feels from the start. The ongoing relationships between Dev and Wyatt and, Jools and Ryker had me all over the place. By the end of the book, I had to lie down from the roller coaster emotions so expertly written by Madhuri. The final book in the series comes out today (Feb 4) and I can't wait to read it!
