Maxwell Dean is at the top of his game in the business world-but behind the scenes, it's a different story completely. For the past two years, he has been dealing with the hostility and absent sex drive of a broken marriage, with no signs of improvement in sight.
But after a violent incident puts him in a coma and brings him to the brink of death, Max wakes up to find that his estranged wife was eagerly preparing for his demise. His experience brings him a renewed sense of purpose, and he vows to embark on a search for real love.
Enter Jordan Anders. Vivacious and equally successful, she seems to be his match in every way. After the two cross paths at a college reunion, they begin an intimate affair, betraying their respective partners and entwining each other in a web of deception and secrets.
Jordan isn't the only contender for Max's heart, however-and after an old flame reappears, an explosive confrontation leaves him wondering if he can trust anyone at all.
What happens next is a surprise that nobody saw coming-a transformation from an unlikely source that promises to change his life once and for all.
Wow! This book was very well written. Suspenseful and Spiritual. Maximizing Jordan," by Lewis Banks. This book was recommended to me by a dear college friend and ex co-worker. Maxwell Dean aka Max is the protagonist in this wonderful book. The author does an excellent job of character development and telling the story of a man that once had a lost soul. At the very beginning Max's life takes a turn for the worst after experiencing a tragedy. The unforeseen circumstances causes Max to come very close to death as we know it.
Many people in Max's life were not who he thought they were. It's like that old saying, "You don't really know who your friends are until something tragic happens to you." Some of them will run and some of them will remain true.
Max was able to bounce back and give life one more shot including his failing marriage. When he saw things just weren't like they used to be, he began to live life searching for purpose and satisfaction. Not letting everyone know everything he was doing, Max developed a relationship with a higher power that he never told anyone about immediately. It wasn't until the end that his family and closest friends put two and two together. No one saw it coming. A revelation of who Max really is.
I am being very careful not to spoil the book for those who want to read it. All I can say is the people that can do the most harm to you are sometimes the ones that are the closest to you. Finding forgiveness for those who have done the most damaging, can be the most fulfilling and rewarding in the end. I gave this book 5 stars and I heard there is a sequel coming out. I CAN"T wait for it. I will be first in line to get it.
