Ten is the story about Dylan. An average boy whose better than average life is turned upside down when he loses his house near the ocean to fire. Rather than accept the help offered from his neighbors to get his family back on their feet, Dylan's prideful father moves his family hundreds of miles away to a run down trailer park so no one whose opinion he valued would witness his family's struggle. Over the course of the next few months, with his father rarely present and his mother fallen victim to a nervous breakdown, Dylan is forced to transform from an innocent, fresh faced boy to a hardened, self sufficient leader in order to get along in his new environment.
