Silas (and Thorin) are absolutely perfect!

I loved everything about this.
Silas and Violet grew up together in an orphanage until Violet’s 16th birthday when she manifested as a witch and was taken to her coven by her grandmother. She made a pact with Silas before that that if they were both single at 30 they would marry.
Silas was rightfully angry at Violet for leaving him fourteen years ago without a word (especially after they had their first kiss) but he can’t be without her. and Thorin, his wolf, is just so snarky and hilarious.
now for the good stuff……. DUAL VIRGINS!
Violet has gone on one date and it seemed like she’s maybe kissed people? it wasn’t really stated just things like “kissing has never felt this way” type of stuff so i’m assuming she’s kissed people, but she’s never felt sexual attraction to anyone but Silas. and Silas said he was waiting for her….his wife 😭😭😭😭 there are no mentions of him ever even looking at another woman. just that his life was hell in the orphanage and he was so focused on being a great Alpha that he resigned to never having a mate or wife.
bonus mention for Jonah though….i need him to have a book i don’t even care if it’s a novella 😂 i can’t wait for Ember’s book! i never want to leave this world.

My Thoughts:
I read this a week ago and am only now sitting down to write this review, and I STILL am getting butterflies and big feelings in my chest looking back at this story.
The Marriage Hex totally kept me on my toes from start to finish. Violet and Silas were childhood best friends who loved each other dearly but before either truly expressed their romantic feelings, they were separated . . . for 14 years. 😭 And once they see each other again, it's as enemies. The long lost childhood best friend and the new forbidden romance sets this story up for perfection! There's also so many shocking secrets and lies that are uncovered as well as a gut-wrenching conflict at the end. Don't worry, it's a happy ending, but damn did my heart completely stop for a moment.
I absolutely adore Violet and Silas. They are wonderful characters who are both powerful but incredibly thoughtful and kind and only want the betterment of their cove/pack and loved ones. They love fiercely and as they start to spend more time together (thanks to the marriage pact physically forcing them together), they become absolute simps for each other.
The tension leading up to them getting together is amazing, but the actual spice is *chefs kiss*! Like, it's rare for me to read a book with smutty scenes and there not be at least one or two cringe moments. But that is not the case here. I was FERAL for all of it. Down to the knotting, biting, and mating. 🔥
I am OBSESSED with Violet's familiar, Walter, and Silas' wolf, Thorin. I swear, everything that came out of their mouths had me laughing so hard.
Walter absolutely LOATHING Silas was hysterical. Whenever he suggested killing Silas because he smelled like a dog or how Silas’ death would please Violet's aunt, all I could imagine was an evil little cat rubbing his paws together and maniacally laughing.
And Thorin being completely obsessed with Violet was adorable AF. I mean, he brings a cupcake to her front door thinking "When we awake tomorrow for her birthday, she'll know her mate is thinking of her. I'll convince Silas to apologize and we'll get our mate back. It will be simple." And then, even though Violet is a witch, Thorin thinks, "She's mine to protect, mine to care for, mine to adore. No matter if she doesn't have a wolf to love me in the same way."🥺 Like, omg STOP IT I'm crying! Thorin is so wholesome, sweet, and determined. I just love him and how he tries to manage Silas!
The Marriage Hex is a phenomenal paranormal romance that everyone should read! It's one of my absolute favorites that I know I'll want to re-read soon. Also, I'm so excited for the next book, The Fang Arrangement, coming in 2025.

I thought this was going to be a pretty straight forward enemies to lovers romance, but their story ended up being much more complex than I expected. I’m struggling with what to say without giving too much away, but I was genuinely surprised by a few of the twists and revelations.
This reminded me a bit of Wolf Gone Wild (which I loved) since his wolf had its own separate thoughts and personality. This aspect made the story more fun and added comedic relief and also provided an interesting way for the author to creatively share details about their shared history.
The rivalry between the Witches and the Wolves added another barrier to them being together too. I thought it was kind of admirable that he was willing to suffer in silence knowing m they were mates because he knew how much she loved her life as a witch. These details alone would have made for an interesting enough romance, but the plot went a whole lot deeper. I’ll let you find out what I mean for yourself, but there were a lot of layers to keep readers engaged.
I actually really liked that he didn’t sleep with anyone before her since he knew they were mates, but I didn’t feel like their first time together felt very realistic when I factored that in. I’ve personally never been a big fan of the whole “knotting” thing either so I could have done without that. He was very sweet to her through some very trying times later in the book though so we’ll let some of that slide.
Not life changing or my favorite read, but it was a really good palate cleanser if you’re in the market.

The Marriage Hex is a fun and steamy small-town romance following Violet, a healing witch, and her former best friend and werewolf, Silas, as the two are forced into a marriage after they wake up hexed from a promise they made 14 years ago. This was such a fun and simple read, it had the perfect balance of romance, steam, intrigue, magic, and emotion. Silas and Violet were perfect together, I loved the push and pull and how hesitant they both were to get together, but were just incapable of not falling for each other. The potential for the rest of the series is there, I can't wait for all the witch, werewolf, and vampire romances to come!

OMG I'M OBSESSED!? And now I have to read everything Sarah Blue writes. This gave me the witchy, paranormal vibes I've been craving and gave me the nostalgic feelings that Sabrina the Teenage Witch gives me. The hero is a wolf shifter and becomes alpha of the pack in the heroine's town, and witches and shifters are enemies. But the heroine had accidentally hexed them when they were 16 that they have to get married when she turns 30. And on their 30th birthday, they're forced by her magic to get married. The hate to love, forced proximity, and angst are EVERYTHING. I just loved this so much and can't wait for the next book!!

It was giving The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but if they all had a baby. Plus, originality, of course. I’m just a recovering TV addict who’s now addicted to books and only rewatches the same couple of shows over and over again.
Silas wanted to do what was best for his pack, which wasn’t being mated to a witch, but Thorin (the little cutie patootie) had other ideas 😭. I know some people might not enjoy having a third POV of the H’s wolf, but as a hater of multiple POV's, I really enjoyed his.
One thing I didn’t like was how Silas would repeatedly say “she means nothing to me” in the beginning. Like we get it, stop reminding me. It hurts 😔. But the banter was good. Violet also wanted him to mean nothing, and Thorin really wanted her, so it was still cute 🥰
I also didn’t know this was more of a rivals to lovers than enemies (yes, they are two very separate things). I don’t like this trope that much. Just not my thing. I also never fully understood why they hated each other so much. I can understand where Silas was coming from (abandonment issues), but Violet (was it just a feud between species)? Then him choosing a pack full of strangers over her?? 🤨
They would be in the moment, and then BOOM, someone just has to say something stupid af and be like, “I dOn’T LikE yOu” blah blah blah 😒 Obviously you guys do!! I don’t mind these kinds of romances where they act like this, but I wasn’t expecting it in this one, so I wasn’t prepared. When they finally did get together, I felt like it was missing something? I’m not sure.
There weren’t any quotes I wanted to highlight and put in here. That usually says a lot about how much I truly enjoyed a book. Especially with how overboard I can go with them sometimes 🫣
There were a few other things that bothered me, but it wasn’t because of safety, and I don’t want to spoil the other stuff. I did get a little bored too. I didn’t love this book like I thought I would, but I didn’t hate it either.
In the end, it was cute, and I laughed. I just wanted to feel more. I’m pretty sure my expectations were a little wrong and too high. I would recommend. I think this was just a me thing/personal preference, and I probably wasn’t in the mood for this kind of story.

As much as I wanted to love this book, it was okay for me. I wish I liked it more. My favorite person in this whole book was Thorin Silas wolf.. he stole the show he was the one who was always telling Silas the truth and about Mates, and he can't talk that way about his mate. He was everything. He knew what he wanted since day one.
Silas and Violet were childhood friends turn rivals/sorta enemies due to Violet wanting to do what's best for her Coven and Silas with his pack and it was all because the grandma (always a grandma) being a bitch and not wanting peace. But a wish they didn't know has them magically bonded and forced to marry. It was funny watching them try to stay away from one another.
I was eh near the ending with the whole thing and the way Silas acted.. even when Vio was under that spell.. I wish he did way more.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Sexy times, virgins celibate (mentioned she tried dating but nothing Silas no info)

Well I liked it, but I was expecting something more. I don’t think it’s fair because I had too high expectations, but that's how I feel.
I think there could have been more details about everything that happens, maybe even some written spells or something like that.

I LOVED Thorin and I wouldn’t have minded if we had seen him more. He was literally the best character, and Walter was a real second close.
I’m a bit disappointed that we saw so little of Azure, and a thing I didn’t like all that much, is how she didn’t recognize Thorin as her mate by herself.
I mean, he told her they were mates and she believed him just like that? But how do they recognize their mates? They see the other person and just know? By scent? Because we don’t have any description of the kind of scent that Violet has, and she said she doesn't have the same smell ability as Silas, so yeah, I'm a bit confused.
Overall, it was a nice and easy reading, perfect for the fall season, so I think I would recommend it.

usually not very interesting in this author but i really liked this one because the romance is something i’ve been looking for and isn’t overdone, it’s not 400 pages long for no reason and gets to the point. i enjoyed the characters but i do feel like the multiple pov was a bit cringe, i understand what the author was trying to do but girl a pov for the cat? anyway i definitely recommend this for your next spooky season read!

I’m so disappointed. I really wanted to like this book. I REALLY DID. It could’ve been so cute.
But the writing is SO DAMN BAD. Every other paragraph you have the FMC or MMC info dumping or completely spoon-feeding you any sort of character development that may be occurring. A lot of the telling, not showing nonsense. UGHHHHHHHH COME ONNNNN.

Thorin was my favourite part! He was so funny and did not care about anything but his mate. I wish I loved the two main characters as much but unfortunately I couldn’t connect to them. They were fine, and their romance was fine but that’s it. All of the main points and tropes were there for me to love it but it seemed to miss the mark for me. I just didn’t love their story as much as I wanted to.

This book was 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘! The perfect October read! It's only the beginning of October and I already know that this will be my 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 of the month! There was so much to love about this book! 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 like in all her other books gave us characters you can't help, but fall in love with!

This was the first book in her Celestial Witches series!! This book follows Silas and Violet in every form of their relationship. First, as childhood friends who make a pact that if they're single at 30 they will get married. Only the universe takes it WAY more literal than these two 16 year olds meant it.
After 14 years of separation, they're brought back together and their lives are a lot different than they were the night they made the pact. Violet is now the healer of a coven and Silas is the head alpha of the Moon Walker pack! And the universe hasn't forgotten the pact they made 14 years ago... 🖤
I absolutely loved watching these two fall for each other again. And their differences only made this book even more interesting! Also, Silas' inner wolf named Thorin who took over from time to time was HILARIOUS!! I adored Silas, but I was never upset with Thorin took over. All strong alpha and blunt! 😍 and the way Thorin was with Azure. That plot twist stole my heart. I was already loving the book. But the second that plot twist happened I squealed. He was so sweet with her and that was hands down one of the best parts of the book!
Also Violet's familiar, Walter had me wishing my cat and I could have conversations like they do! Walter was hilarious!!! And so protective of Violet! I loved his thoughts about Silas, before Silas won him over.
I'm trying so hard to review this without spoilers. AND ITS SO HARD! There are so many incredible plot twists that kept me unable to put this book down! And had me messaging Sarah squealing about how much I loved it! I couldn't hold it in! She did such an incredible job!
And you should just go find out for yourselves! Trust me when I say this was the perfect lighthearted October read full of sexy shifters, spunky witches, inner wolf dialogue with their own inner characters who are HILARIOUS when they take over, and adorably sassy familiars pets with strong personalities. This book had it all!!!

This is a fun paranormal romance. I absolutely loved it. Just enough spice, comedy, suspense. Well paced. We get chapters from different characters like Silas’s wolf and Violets familiar which is a grumpy cat.

This is the perfect book to pick up this spooky season! I love a good friends-to-enemies-to-lovers tale, and when it’s combined with forced proximity, shifters and witches, and a healthy dose of “it’s always been you” it’s like catnip. “It’s always been you” has become one of my favorite tropes recently, and Sarah absolutely rocked it!
The two MCs, Violet and Silas, are great on their own, but Violet’s cat familiar, Walter, and Silas’s wolf, Thorin, absolutely steal the show! I lol’d at their antics and POVs.
The Marriage Hex is a medium burn and spicy MF romance where BOTH the MCs are virgins! Yes, please!

So so good! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this and I inhaled it. The relationship is so well done and I just love second chance + friends to lovers 🥹 The mystery around both of their parentages really kept me on my toes and there were some cool twists! Some storylines were left a bit unresolved but I hope they'll get tied up in future books. Overall, I had so much fun with this and I'm already looking forward to the sequel 🧙🏻♀🧛🏻♂

14% very poorly written. The POV from MMC’s inner wolf is especially cringey. Seems like her books really vary in quality with them trending down past couple years.
