Third book brings even more to the table as this time there are more scenes with other characters taking the spotlight.

Not that Nick Smith isn't the central character but he does catch a break from being the only one able to create changes.

I really liked the addition of the ugly mutt, a dog companion is always interesting.

The surprises are well done, even if predictable and once again the story grows better as it progresses.

Book 4 next.

Small things make a difference

I really like these books but there is one thing that I find really annoying. When a switch to a different scene begins some type of division from the two needs to be inserted. A new chapter would be nice or just a * between the two. I never know who we're talking about.
