Terrible editing and headache-inducing font aside, this is a great introduction to the Psalms, although a bit too reliant on form criticism.

This was a great read. The book did a great job of helping me consider the Psalms as a whole and consider each book as a unit. I believe that the way he dealt with common themes in the psalter will also help me read them with greater understanding. Good book.

Strong in providing an overview of the major themes in all 150 psalms and observations of the flow of the five Books within Psalms. Weak in offering too many speculations and possibilities. Still a profitable introduction to Psalms.
