While a few new nuggets of information, this book was full of cases everyone already knew. The Doldsten case was the only entry in the book I hadn't already heard of. Perhaps it speaks more to have few "unsolved mysteries" we still have?

these days both ancient and modern mysteries are highly accessible to all of us so these kind of books really need a unique hook to pull you in and unfortunately this was lacking.

The potential with this topic is always great, but this was sadly rather boring and long-winded.
