160 books559 followersIt’s hard for me to imagine that I’ve been writing romances for over twenty years now! I started at the young age of 21, just after I got married. Reading romances, and then writing them, came about as a result of having too much time on my hands. When I first married my husband Don, I was working a regular nine to five job and he worked swing shift, from four in the afternoon until midnight. It wasn’t an ideal schedule for newlyweds, and in order to pass those hours when I was alone I started reading romances, and eventually tried my hand at writing them.
The road to publication wasn’t an easy one. It took me five years and dozens of rejections to make my first sale, which was to Harlequin for their “Stolen Moments” line. THE FAMILY MAN, written under the pseudonym Danielle Kelly, was one of the twelve novellas published in 1993 for this promotional line.
It took me another two and a half years (and more rejections!) to sell my second book. HEAVEN’S GIFT (written under my own name) was published in October 1995 by Leisure Love Spell for their “An Angel’s Touch” series. Another two years passed of collecting even more rejections before I finally sold to Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Temptation. At the time, writing for both Temptation and Harlequin Romance provided me with a wonderful creative outlet for both my modern, ultra-sexy stories, and my warmer, traditional romances. But as the years passed, I realized how much I enjoyed writing the sexier stories and streamlined my career accordingly so that I was no longer writing the sweet traditional romances, and instead focused on the hotter, sexier stories for Temptation and Blaze.
After writing over two dozen books for Harlequin, I decided to branch out. I wanted to write anthologies and single titles, and came up with an idea about three sexy brothers with the last name of “Wilde”. Little did I know that those Wilde brothers would become such a sensation with readers. In the second Wilde book, WILDE THING, four Wilde cousins were introduced, and readers started writing in for their stories, too. It’s been a joy and pleasure to write each of the Wilde stories, and I want to thank everyone for purchasing those books and putting them on the USA Today Bestseller list!
I’ve been a full-time writer for years, which consists of being deep in deadlines, writing proposals (growling at the husband to fix a glitch in the computer so I can get back to work!), perusing contracts, line-edits (stressing over a scene that won’t work or characters that just won’t talk or cooperate with my plans for them!), galleys, art-fact sheets, promotion, and other publishing paperwork. Admittedly, I wouldn’t trade all the craziness in for pantyhose, rush hour traffic, and a nine-to-five job again. Writing is hard work, but I find the rewards are well worth the effort. Fan letters are one of those priceless rewards, and can keep me on a high for days! I’ve met the most wonderful people through my books, some of which I now consider good friends.

Chloe dan Aidan adalah dua orang eksekutif yang bekerja di sebuah agency periklanan. Kali ini mereka bersaing untuk membuat iklan tentang sebuah resort yang mengutamakan konsep perjodohan. Keduanya dikirim ke resort itu untuk mendalami segala hal tentang resort tersebut. Ternyata di sana, mereka harus melanggar satu aturan dari kantor. Tidak boleh ada hubungan di antara karyawan.
What happens in resort, stay in resort. Seminggu waktu yang dihabiskan oleh Chloe dan Aiden dengan baik. Siangnya mereka mengerjakan konsep iklan masing-masing, malamnya mereka saling memuaskan fantasi mereka. Sampai akhirnya di malam terakhir Aiden menyadari dia mulai mencintai Chloe. Aiden meninggalkan Chloe secepat mungkin.
Ceritanya bagus, dan adegan hot-nya membuat pembaca kipas2. Endingnya bisa ditebak ala-ala harlequin. Sangat memuaskan.

Chloe dan Aiden adalah manajer di tempat kerja yg sama dan mereka saling bersaing. Hingga pimpinan mereka menugaskan mereka utk membuat proyek St Raphael di Pulau Nassau. Dan disanalah bibit-bibit ketertarikan mereka mulai bersemi.
Sudah sejak lama Chloe memiliki pikiran cabul ttg tubuh Aiden dan begitu pula Aiden. Jelas sekali ketertarikan seksual mereka, tetapi mereka menyangkal bhw ada hal yg lebih jauh daripada itu. Biarpun dicomblangi oleh Hattie di pulau tsb, mereka sibuk menangani proyek itu dan mengabaikan ttg jodoh mereka. Baik Chloe dan Aiden memiliki masa lalu perceraian krn memiliki pasangan yg egois, jadi mereka enggan utk menindaklanjuti hubungan mereka.
Novel ini di luar adegan hot-nya yg luar biasa panas, sebenarnya rada boring krn narasinya terlalu kelewatan banyaknya. Dan masih ditolong karakter tokoh utamanya yg digambarkan cantik dan ganteng rupawan, keduanya gak menyebalkan. Cuma di klimaks cerita malah mereka salah paham dan Aiden malah jadi tidak percaya pada Chloe. Kenapa itu? Baca saja deh. Ada di ipusnas dan GD koq.

So far ini CR terbaik yang kubaca di awal tahun, hahaha. Aku suka interaksi tokohnya, suka dengan plotnya, juga karakternya. Si cewek yang berani, spontan, dan si cowok yang... yah, tipikal lah. Tema persaingan di dunia kerja, untuk mengetahui siapa yang lebih hebat dibanding yang lainnya, tapi tetap mempertahankan pertemanan, yang berakhir dengan merusaknya juga karena ada percikan gelora yang muncul di antara keduanya. Adegannya intents, dan pas aja gitu dengan tema "terjebak di pulau cinta dengan alasan awal tuntutan pekerjaan".

I really liked that the female character in this wasn't some virginal waif waiting around for a man lol. Just seems more realistic that she was an experienced lover.
I thought it was a cute story with very steamy scenes. Kinda had me hoping there was such a thing as a match making island resort. 😉

Ada larangan untuk setiap karyawan yang bekerja di perusahaan periklanan Perry & Associate. Walaupun rekan kerjamu adalah seorang yang tampan, memiliki senyum menawan, berbadan bagus, berkarir cemerlang seperti Aiden Landry. Ya, Chloe Reiss sudah dua tahun ini menjadi rekan kerja sekaligus saingan berat Aiden dan hanya bisa mendamba Aiden dari dalam hati saja. Bagi Chloe saat ini karir menjadi fokus utamanya, Chloe tidak ingin mengulangi kegagalan masa lalunya dan Chloe harus cukup puas untuk hanya menjadi rekan kerja Aiden.

Chloe dan Aiden harus bekerja secara profesional, tapi percikan di antara mereka berdua makin lama makin membesar, mereka tak dapat menghindari hal tersebut. Dan perjanjian pun dimulai..

Sama seperti Harlequin Blaze lainnya, kalau di Elex dikategorikan Temptation, ceritanya ringan, simple, konfliknya gak terlalu berat gimanaa.. yah cocok lah buat bacaan santai. Termasuk ero nggak nya, menurutku ceritanya belum termasuk sih, masih save lah.. Aku suka sama karakter Chloe di sini, ciri khas wanita karir yang mandiri tapi juga punya sisi lembut, tapi gara-gara kejadian dengan mantan tunangannya, Chloe jadi mengesampingkan sisi romantismenya. Untuk karakter Aiden sendiri ya cukup memaklumi ketakutan dan sikap skeptic Aiden akan cinta, secara dia pernah dikhianati sama mantan istrinya yang lebih memilih karir ketimbang membangun keluarga bersama Aiden. Tapi agak dibikin jengkel sama sikap Aiden yang memilih meninggalkan Chloe dan sewaktu salahpaham sama Chloe.
But, namanya juga novel romance, pasangan ini pun berakhir bahagia, walaupun Chloe cepet banget memaafkan Aiden dan ujung-ujungnya tetap salah satu dari mereka yang resign. Yah, klise sih, tapi dari rekan kerja atau musuh di tempat kerja lalu berubah jadi cinta itu tema yang cukup oke.. Bintang 4 deh karena aku cukup terhibur dengan cerita flirting-an Chloe dan Aiden semasa di resort, bikin geli geli gimana gitu.. hahahahha...

Chloe and Aiden worked for marketing company. They were rival. The company had policy of no relationship between its workers. So, they were just flirting without doing the actual deed. It worked for two years until they had to go on business trip together, as rival.
They had to market a resort which specialized in couple making. To avoid other women hit on him, he offered Chloe to be couple with him so they could concentrate on their business. But their bottled attraction sparked and they have some wild nights ahead. On their last "vacation" day, Aiden finally told Chloe about his divorce. His ex-wife, a career woman, aborted their baby because she didn't want to sacrifice her career. He felt betrayed and since then he avoid career women, such as Chloe. When Chloe woke up on the next day, Aiden was already gone. He left her broken-hearted.
When she was about to go home, she found their competitor trying to present their presentation. Didn't want to lose the deal, she also presented hers and Aiden's, separately. He told her he would tell her boss of his decision. When the boss phoned Aiden to tell him about the decision, which he won, he didn't hear his words past "Chloe presented a matchmaker presentation". He just assumed the worst of her. He jumped to conclusion, that Chloe stole his idea. On the next day, he confronted her and said many hurtful things, didn't even want to hear her explanation. And when they were summoned by the boss, he said that the matchmaker idea was his idea, not Chloe's. And when the boss confirmed this, he was shocked. Chloe didn't steal his idea, she helped him instead, by presented his presentation when she didn't have to because he was away. In the end, he regretted everything he said and apologized to her. She didn't swayed in the beginning, but when he said he loved her, she forgave him.
Arghhhh! I was sooo mad with Aiden! He was despicable. I wish he groveled a bit more until he covered in dirt! She forgave him too easily. She helped him, but what did he do? He assumed the worst of her and claimed she had betrayed him, without knowing the facts. Cliche plots sometimes are okay, if the storytelling are engaging. But this is just cliche plot with simple story, emphasized on sexes. Just another simple erotica.

Nih buku agak tipisan so ... cerita nya agak dikejar2 endingnya
hufft... padahal klo agak tebal dikit nih cerita bagus ^^
berkisah tentang AIden dan Chloe yang bekerja di Agensi yang sama
Keduanya yang awalnya hanya berteman lama2 timbul rasa suka
terutama saat diberikan tugas Oleh agensinya ke Bahama tuk memproduksi sebuah iklan mereka saling bersaing seberanya tuk memperebutkan kontrak iklan tsb...
tapi gairah dan rasa tertarik lebih mendominasi sehingga disela2 usaha mereka tuuk bekerja dan merebut kontrrak cinta dan gairah terjalin diantara mereka
perjanjian tuk menghabiskan seminggu dengan gairah tanpa cinta selama seminggu di bahamas terus berjalan ....hingga suatu saat ... Aiden menunjukkan hasil presentasinya ke chloe ..
chloe memuji hasil kerja aiden... disaat hal itu terjadi ternyata ...flshdisk nya Aiden tinggal dan rencana Chloe tuk memberikan ke Aiden ntar klo balik ke Boston
ternyata Chloe Mendengar dari percakapan singkat bahwa saingan mereka dari agensi lain ingin medahului start..jadi mau tidak mau Chloe harus menyajikan presentasi mereka juiga saat itu
.....walaupun aiden telah berangkat duluan pagi2 skali ke BGoston akibat ingin menjauhi perasaanya ke Chloe
tapi chloe tetap meyajikan Presentasi Aiden bersamaan dengan presentasinya
......dilain pihak Aiden diberitahu oleh GM agensi mereka bahwa Chloe telah menyajikan Presentasinya
Aiden kira bahwa Chloe telah merebuit buah hasil idenya
hingga saat chloe tiba di Boston Aiden Menyemburnya dengan segala hal yang menyakitkan hati bahwa chloe sebgaia seorang Pengkhianat
Chloe menerima dengan hati tersayat....

Covernya lohhh.. makjang!! gw pikir bakalan rada ero, taunya masih std.. hot siii.. tapi masih std (tu tu tu kaaann... standard "ero" ku emang naek) muahahahaha
Terlalu pendek si, cuma 12 chapter doang.. trs si Heroine jg tll gampang maafin si Hero, dan konfliknya jg std gitu.. banyakan flirting + uhuk2, makanya aku kasih 3 bintang. (banyak uhuk2 tp uhuk2 std **apaan si inih**) kwkwkwkwkw
Tadinya aku pikir bakalan kocak kayak novel2nya Robin Kaye, taunya kaga.. tp ya lumayan lah, nambahin RC *dijitak*

Terlalu pendek si, cuma 12 chapter doang.. trs si Heroine jg tll gampang maafin si Hero, dan konfliknya jg std gitu.. banyakan flirting + uhuk2, makanya aku kasih 3 bintang. (banyak uhuk2 tp uhuk2 std **apaan si inih**) kwkwkwkwkw
Tadinya aku pikir bakalan kocak kayak novel2nya Robin Kaye, taunya kaga.. tp ya lumayan lah, nambahin RC *dijitak*

This is one of the best "buku terjemahan" with the best "terjemahan" I have ever read.
I love this book, love Chloe/Aiden (they are just too cute and hot at the same time and they totally got the chemistry!) and I really love how simple the story goes. Though there are lots of (very) "hot" scenes in this book, the story still has its way to stand out.
As I always said, I really love this kind of relationship, the no strings attached one, so I really enjoy reading this book. Four stars it is!

Sebenernya terjemahannya agak kurang sreg, mungkin akan lebih enak baca versi aslinya, tapi karena emosi kedua karakter utamanya sangat terasa dan diceritakan dari 2 sudut pandang gw tetep suka dengan novel ini. Walo mungkin akan lebih bagus jika ada epilognya, krn di ending terkesan terpotong begitu saja, jd nanggung. Jadi cukuplah rating #3.5 yg cenderung mengarah ke rating #4 ;)
