I generally enjoy Pressley’s books, but I found this one rather confusing. She begins with her own story and name, but in the third short story she’s writes about aliens sucking information and life out of elderly people living in ivy-covered homes. In the next story, she reverts to first person and talks of her fear of flying and other personal stories. Then suddenly she shifts to a story about a mentally ill woman who thinks she’s Scarlett O’Hara from Gone with the Wind. Since “Chronicles” are a historical record of events in chronological order, this book doesn’t seem to adhere to that definition. It is interesting, but you never know what you will be reading about next.
