A silver-fox billionaire. A mistaken identity. A night I can’t forget… and a secret growing inside me.
When I receive an anonymous Valentine's invitation to the city’s most exclusive restaurant, I expect a cruel office joke, not him. I should have never gone to that dinner. Never let his lips touch mine. Ledger Kingston isn’t just my boss; he’s the untouchable CEO, the grumpy, gorgeous man who owns this company. His black shirt fits so tightly around his biceps I can see his muscles rippling beneath the fabric. It’s not long before this silver-haired alpha male pulls me into his world of passion. My body belongs to him with the pleasure he gives me. His hard body against mine makes me twitch, screaming for more. I love watching his muscular stomach as his hips rock back and forth against mine. When I walk away, that’s the end of our twisted little mix-up. Until two pink lines shatter everything. I thought I could hide it that he’d never know. Letting him keep his life of no attachments, commitments, or mistakes. But he’s standing in my office, his eyes locked on my “baby bump.” I gave him one night. Now he wants everything.
Cute, easy read. A little hot. Each of them had hangups they needed to get over in order to be together. There wasn't enough growth, fast enough for me for the FMC. The MMC seemed to be making strides to fix his errors. I think if she had been better written or at least showed her trying I would have rated it a bit higher. but still a solid read.

Imagine receiving an anonymous invitation to spend Valentine’s Day having dinner at the hottest restaurant in town. Would you go?
Ledger Blake has been crushing on Carrie Matthews in Accounting on the 14th floor for a while. He decided to send her the invitation anonymously so the entire office wouldn’t know. What Ledger didn’t consider when he wrote “Miss Carrie” on the 14th floor on the envelope, was that there were two Carrie’s that worked on the same floor, but in different departments. Carrie Lawson, who worked in the Creative Department on the 14th floor, received his invitation mistakenly. Carrie took a chance and went, and was she ever shocked when she saw who her date was. It was Ledger, the CEO! Carrie thought Ledger was “the hottest guy on the planet, but he’s a grumpy, boring a**hole.” The dinner goes surprisingly well for both of them and ends in a night of passionate bliss. And pregnancy. The rest of the book covers the emotional journey, the commitment-phobe Ledger and the dreaming of a HEA Carrie take.
I enjoyed the book overall but was disappointed with the abrupt ending. I really wanted more. I wanted the ending to continue and let readers know more about what happens in the future for them. There were a lot of good things about the book. The cover model is smoking hot, just like Ledger was described in the book. The steamy scenes were well-written. Not too spicy, just right. The story plot was great and paced well. The world building was also good, leaving the possibility of creating a series that includes the other characters from the book. I would recommend this book.
This was such a great read! Secret Silver Fox Valentine is a sizzling, steamy, and intense page-turner that had me completely hooked. The story is full of passion, suspense, and a romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
🔥 Tropes & Things I Enjoyed: - 💼 Workplace Romance -👨💼 CEO/Boss Hero -👩💻 Accidental Love Interest -📅 Valentine’s Day Dare -💥 One-Night Stand → Surprise Baby -🦊 Silver Fox Hero -💘 Age-Gap Romance
CEO Ledger never expected that a simple Valentine’s Day dare would turn his world upside down. He meant to invite Carrie from Accounting—but when the invitation lands with the wrong Carrie, he's in for the surprise of his life. Their unexpected dinner turns into a night of undeniable chemistry, passion, and an unforgettable connection. But what starts as a fun, steamy evening takes a life-changing twist when, three months later, Ledger discovers the results of that night… and realizes he wants everything with Carrie.
The tension, the desire, and the emotional depth of their journey kept me flipping pages. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that I wished for a bit more depth in certain emotional moments, but overall, this book delivered everything I wanted—age-gap romance, workplace drama, and a swoon-worthy HEA.
I highly recommend this one if you love a steamy, heartfelt silver fox romance—you won’t be disappointed!

Carrie works in the art department, Ledger is the CEO. He breaks every spoken and non-spoken HR rule sends his employee a secret Valentine invitation. He's a walking red flag. She's a creative, is fun and loves her dog. Things move pretty quickly and he leaves her with a little surprise.
This is a short book - about 164 pages on Kindle so the story has to move fast. There were some eye rolling moments but I had to remind myself that we don't have a lot of time for nonsense in such a short book. The story went about as well as I expected and that was nice. Very little miscommunication, the MMC was mature enough to make quick course corrections and the FMC wasn't about playing games. I had concerns about his treatment of her for very particular reasons, but hey, he's human and I'm not mad at this story or the ending.
I do feel like I wanted more of this story because I would've done a lot more talking, and I think there could have been deeper character development, but then I think - is all that talking really necessary?
"It was complicated and confusing and scary..."
Tropes include: *workplace romance *CEO/Employee *Age gap *one night stand

Life Works in Mysterious Ways - Ledger’s life revolved around work and flings, as he had sworn off relationships and having a family, but fate had a plan for his life that he never imagined. Even though Carrie was shocked to received the invitation from a secret admirer, the last person she expected it to be was her sexy as sin boss, but she was in for a bigger surprise at the end of the night. Whilst Ledger and Carrie expected their night together to be the end of their interactions, they soon discovered it was just the beginning of a rollercoaster ride filled with drama, steamy encounters, emotional moments and excitement, that ultimately ended in a chance for a happy future together.
This story will take you through a myriad of emotions, but at times you will want to knock the main characters heads together, as you just want them to communicate with each other instead of making assumptions. If you are looking for a captivating romance story to snuggle up with on these dark nights, then grab a copy of this book and you won’t regret your decision. Bravo Hannah Rio, this is another great book to add to your portfolio.

Completely and utterly captive by this story! It was EVERYTHING you won’t put down until the last page has been turned. Carrie is sweet so when she gets an invitation to dinner at one of the city’s most expensive restaurants along with a gift basket from a secret admirer, she assumes it is someone playing a cruel joke and decides to go enjoy an expensive dinner go home but she wasn’t expecting him for a date. Ledger sexy as all get out CEO sent out the invite but wasn’t expecting his invite to go to the wrong Carrie nor did he expect the wrong Carrie to show up or that he would enjoy her company as much well after the initial surprise of the wrong women. The magnetic pull between them couldn’t be ignored and one night of passion and they go their separate ways. But three months later he see her in the office with one slight difference she is about three months pregnant and his feelings are more intense but will he pull himself together enough to be there for her, will he let his stubborn ways stop him from the best thing that has happened to him, will she understand his reasoning forgiving him, and will they find their own HEA?
Carrie is shocked to receive a lavish valentine gift basket with a dinner invite to a very expensive restaurant from a secret admirer for a date on Valentine’s Day. Ledger is equally surprised to find his gift basket was delivered to the wrong Carrie, but he hides his surprise and is shocked to have a fabulous evening with the Carrie who showed up.
The date leads to a one night stand with surprising consequences, so when Ledger sees Carrie in the office a few months later looking pregnant (at 3 months, really?) he is swamped with feelings.
The story is sexy and sweet, with lots of miscommunication and jumping to conclusions. Ledger eventually gets his head out of his backside and makes an effort to be there for Carrie. His entire schtick of ‘I don’t want a relationship or children’ is tossed out the window, but almost waits too long to tell her.
This long-ish novella will keep your attention. It ends at 88%, so I was expecting a little more story when it suddenly ended.

Ledger Kingston ’s best friend from college, Jake, dares him to go on a real date for Valentine's Day. The grumpy CEO decides to invite “Carrie” from the office, but with two females with that name, the wrong one gets the flowers with the dinner invitation to Silver Swan. Both of them were not expecting the other to show up! But being together worked out for them and they spent a special night together. When she finds later that she is pregnant, will she choose to hide the fact (although that choice can’t last for very long before the truth becomes obvious). Or will the intelligent CEO “notice” that Carrie has a suspicious-looking “bump”. Will he be able to convince her that despite having told her before that he had no plans to date, marry, and does not want kids, everything has changed and they belong together as a family? Will they share the joy of her pregnancy together? Or will she assume he simply feels obligated and will refuse to believe him when he tells her how much he loves her and his son?
I like the premise of where the plot started off. Both Carrie and Ledger went through a range of emotions from the first to last page of the book.
The book didn’t fully circle around to some plot points for me personally. I felt like Carrie didn’t end up getting the whole truth about their relationship because of the plot holes and that part didn’t sit well with me.
Ledger left me thinking he was a late blooming bachelor but was definitely stunted at expressing his emotions which fit the characters description.
I felt like they were either apart or running from each other most of the book. With that it definitely made it hard for me to see where their emotional connection/love really stemmed from outside of the bedroom.
I would rate this book a 3.50-3.75.

Secret Silver Fox is everything I wanted in a quick, cosy read—with a sprinkle of spice and a whole lot of feels! I devoured this novella in one sitting and loved every second of the emotional roller coaster she took me on.
We’ve got Carrie, our bright, bubbly FMC, who finds herself caught up in a case of mistaken identity (oops 😅). Ledger—our grumpy, silver fox of an MMC—was looking for a Carrie… just not this one. But surprise! She might actually be exactly what he needs. Ugh, I love it when fate steps in like that!
There’s an age gap, a perfect grumpy/sunshine vibe, and just enough spice (2/5 🔥) to keep things interesting without overshadowing the heart of the story. And trust me, there’s a lot of heart. It’s sweet, tender, emotional, and totally swoon-worthy. 💕
If you're after a feel-good, slightly steamy, emotionally satisfying read you can curl up with in one go—this is it.
OH WOW this was another great book. The book cover was sizzling hot. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. Ledger and Jake were talking about him asking Carrie out on a dare/date for valentine day. Carrie was a beautiful lady that he was intrigued with throughout this moment. Carrie and Ledger the chemistry between them when they meet is captivating and magical of passion and romance. Silver Swan is where they meet for dinner for this special date and she never knew that she would have falling in love with each other in this moment and they couldn't fight the temptation any longer. One magical night will change her life forever. I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed this book. It has some of my favorite things: Age gap, accidental pregnancy, boss/employee, silver Fox. I think is a great fast paced holiday book. I love how Ledger gets dared into asking Carrie from accounting on a date for Valentine's Day and the wrong Carrie shows up. It does turn out well for both of them that night. Ledger is you typical don't want love or a family, work is my life. When he finds out she is pregnant and he wants to be the dad and be with her. You really start to see him change. Carrie I get why she doesn't tell him. He made it clear it was a one night stand. I also get not wanting him around because she was starting to fall in love with him and the closeness was getting to her. I liked getting to see her have the baby and the fact they ended up together.
4.5 stars for a spicy romance I could not put down! Clear your plans for a day, get this book, and be prepared to ignore everyone for hours as you will not be able to stop reading it! Hannah has the best writing style to keep you flipping page to page, chapter to chapter, until you're suddenly at the end of the book. I still felt like I was able to get to know the characters and root for them to find their HEA. Ledger started off as my favorite grumpy bosshole type, but Carrie was very self-conscious and shy - opposites attract, right? But are they too opposite to stay together? You'll have to read it and find out!
My rating system: 5=will read again 4=recommend to everyone 3=recommend to anyone liking that particular writing style/trope 2=do not recommend 1=DNF
A cute engaging older man and endowed younger women romance story I'd read about an anonymous Valentine's invitation going astray and what happens because of it. Our characters were wonderfully depicted and were very likable. The story was entertaining and made me chuckle and swoon. Carrie a creative designer received Ledger's (her CEO boss) invitation which should have gone to another Carrie. Waiting at the table she finds it's her boss. The Valentine's date turned into a night of passion. Will this be the beginning of a relationship? I'd volunteer to read and review this delightful copy I'd received.
A wonderful story about a Valentine’s Day invitation to get to the wrong woman and how by the end even though he doesn’t like commitment the two fall for one another as well as start a family. The story shows even though you don’t want a certain thing at the time your feeling can always change at any minute even if you’re not open to it. By the end of the story the couple are happy and in love with the beginnings of a small family. The character is great, an easy to read story as well as a page turner. This story has a steamy romance and a happy ending.

Overall I give this 3/5 stars. I did have fun reading it and enjoyed the story because I loved the concept and the vision behind it for the most part but the typos were sometimes hard to look past. I also enjoyed that it was a book that could easily be read in one day.
So if a fast paced romance with the boss and a pregnancy trope is your thing definitely give this book a try for yourself. Will Ledger and Carrie get their HEA or will their differences just be too much to overcome?
I really enjoyed this. From start to finish Carrie and Ledgers relationship from the mistaken valentine to the end. Him having to come to terms that he has fallen head over heels for her is a bit aggravating but in the end he finds what makes him happy. Same with Carrie. She knows what she wants and what she wants is him. But she has to be cautious and not get her heart broken. I love that Carrie has a great friend in Kelly who would be there for her. I love that Gypsy loves Ledger just as must as Carrie. I will be looking forward to reading her next book.
A mistake leads Ledger and Carrie to a surprisingly good Valentine's Day date, up front about his no commitment stance, Carrie takes one night from him and gets more than she bargained for. Their journey to a HEA was an up and down, forward and backward one with communication issues and misunderstandings, but they were both supported well through these this by their friends. I believed in their connection and chemistry and liked seeing them face their fears and be open and honest with each other. I really enjoyed this story of Carrie, a woman who thought she would never find love, receives a valentine gift and an invitation to dinner and Ledger an older billionaire who was not into relationships or love. She was mistakenly given the valentine gift and decided to meet who ever it was for dinner, which turned out to be her hot boss. An unexpected pregnancy happened and a lot of crazy things happened. I am so glad they ended up together. This is quite a story!
Secret Silver Fox Valentine by Hannah Rio Ledger's best friend is Jake, who is married and has children, but Ledger does not want that; he likes playing the field. Two Carries work at Ledger's business, one Carrie works in the creative department, and another works in a different department, but on the same floor. I found this story funny, romantic, and very interesting. I loved the main characters of this story, and I enjoyed the whole story. Allow a day for this steamy contemporary adult age-gap forbidden silver fox secret Valentine romantic comedy that starts on February 12 in Miami, Florida when Jake dares his fellow CEO Ledger Blake to take hot accountant Carrie Matthews on a date Valentine's night. There are chortles but mild throttling drops the rating to 4 1/2*.

Good age gap work romance. CEO Ledger is dared by his best friend to go on a date for Valentine’s Day. He has a person in mind, Carrie from Accounting. However when his surprise based and inviting goes to the wrong Carrie, he is in for a surprise. Their dinner is surprisingly great and it leads to a night of fun. Both of them can’t stop thinking about the another. Then three months later, Legder discovers the results of their night of fun, and decides he wants it all with Carrie. The story ends HEA.
This page-turner is full of passion and romance. An emotional rollercoaster ride filled with drama, suspense and unexpected twists that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Ledger and Cassie's chemistry is sizzling, steamy and intense. It's a swoon worthy book that I'd definitely recommend reading. Hannah Rio has definitely become a favorite and I look forward to reading more.

Secret Silver Fox Valentine is a standalone book by Hannah Rio. This is fun and easy to read.
Ledger (MMC) is surprised when another Carrie (MFC) shows up to a date that he secretly invited her too. They go on the date, and it leads to another thing. They end up in bed and they determine this is a one-time event. However, it only takes one time to get pregnant. How they get to love is a journey and enjoyable. This is a quick read.
Carrie thought the valentines invitation was a office joke, she didn't expect her older CEO and boss Ledger to be there! And one steamy night together was all it was meant to be until a positive test and baby bump change things forever. Well written engaging steamy, off limits, age gap and more!.

The back and forth here alongside my favorite trope of secret baby had me hooked from the beginning! The way Ledger tried to fight his feelings constantly, like my man please give it up. And the way Carrie was always willing to speak her mind and stick up for her self had me rooting for her the whole time!
My favorite time of the day was when I could sit down and gobble this romance book up. WOW the cover is really eye catching and the characters Carrie and Ledger are so good that I had a really hard time putting this book down until I had it finished. So, if you want something that is way better than chocolate (I LOVE chocolate) then read Hannah's romance book. It is very very good.
I absolutely loved this book. Honestly, there is really nothing wrong with it outside of me (selfishly) wanting more spice. The plot was genius. The relationship and its progression between Ledger and Carrie was perfection. I highly recommend this book. Hannah Rio is becoming a new favorite author of mine.
