So Into You: A Marriage of Convenience, Multicultural Romance

Rate this book
Men are trouble. At least, that’s what I’ve always told myself. After a lifetime of disastrous relationships—each one a masterclass in betrayal, manipulation, and heartbreak—I swore off men entirely. No more compromises, no more ignoring red flags, and definitely no more letting anyone close enough to hurt me again. It’s just me, my healing journey, and a promise to myself to finally do better.

Then Diego Contreras walked into my life. A doctor with a reputation for being as smooth as he is smart, Diego isn’t just the kind of man I’ve avoided—he’s the embodiment of every warning sign I’ve ever ignored. And yet, there’s something about him. His patience. His quiet consistency. The way he sees me in a way no one else ever has. Is he really different, or is this just another illusion waiting to shatter?

As my life spirals further out of control, Diego and I strike a deal—one that forces me to let him in, just enough to get by. But the more I let him in, the harder it gets to keep my heart guarded. And as much as I want to believe Diego is different, I can’t help but what happens when the truth about me becomes too much for even him to handle?

This is a story about love, trust, and the walls Black women build to protect ourselves—only to find that just maybe, the right person is worth tearing them down for.

Love it!

This book was a beautiful and emotional journey! I loved watching the connection between Jordan and Diego deepen as they navigated their marriage of convenience. Diego was the perfect blend of dominant and loving – swoon!

While the ending felt a bit rushed, the overall story resonated deeply. I just wish we could have learned more about her mother's journey.

Tropes:
* 💍 Marriage of Convenience
* 🩺 Rich Doctor (Pediatric Cardiologist!)
* 🏠 Forced Proximity
* 🔍Suspense
* 🧠 On-Page Therapy

Overall, a powerful and heartwarming read! ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

Loved it, just a little disappointing in the end

I really liked, I thought it was a good read. 3 stars because I wish the ending would’ve given a little more about what happened to Cree and that whole situation. Their love story started out based off her being in the hospital so to not see what happens with that in the end was disappointing. Other than that I loved their journey together.

DIEGO????? Dr. McNaughty had me giggling and rubbing my feet together oh my lord. This man was just ughhhhh so yummy. And Jordan was amazing as well. Although I did not agree with some of her choices, I loved how raw she was as a character and how she developed throughout the story. Diego was so charming even though he kinda set her up but he makes up for it. And I love seeing a black woman just loved effortlessly. Wheeww this one got me in my feels fr☺️☺️

A touch of realness

I enjoyed reading this. The story is easy to follow and has characters that are easy to love even when they're doing things to irritate me.
