Review for books 1 and 2
This series is kind of a mess but addicting like watching a car wreck. It needs some good editing, the plot is all over the place, there are so many tropes and almost none are done well. And yet, I read both books. Yes, all the while wincing and snorting, but I kept reading.
Don't go looking for a plot that makes sense, nor well-rounded characters. Be ready for an fmc who is so contradictory that you get whiplash for going from hating all the male characters to wanting to smack some sense into the fmc to feeling bad for her to hating her and then back again.
Book 3 is coming in October and I'm not sure I'll be reading it. It's on my tbr and we'll see if I still remember all that happened in books 1 and 2 by that time.

Book 2 did not disappoint. We’re getting more of the background on what happened to Eternity, and the fall out of the Quint. Mercy has her own secrets too 👀 LOVED how this one ended (in the most messed up way 😈 😱 but I’m pretty sure I know “whodunit”).
So yeah I am in this… as hard as some of this is to read (take the triggers seriously 😳) given how dark this is and how Mercy is just kinda laying down and taking it since she feels she needs to be punished. Ugh I am dying to see what happens next.
I would not recommend just anyone pick up this series but if you’re looking for dark, depravity, betrayal, blasphemy, BULLIES, (wow what an alliteration) and plot twists (& it is heavy on the smut), then by all means 😂

Book two picks up where book one ended, and there is a lot to unpack in this story
Mercy is being blackmailed because of her confession, however she’s starting to have doubts about what truly happened to her friend Eternity that she starts digging for answers, but Saint warns her to not go looking, because if the wrong person finds out, Mercy could very well loose her own life, and if it brings Saint some peace and or brings her back into his life then he’ll help Mercy.
However Mercy is still having impure thoughts, the feelings she has deep down inside will not subside. She seeks guidance from Father Salvatore, to help absolve her sins, only her confessions burrow into him, he wants to give in, his resolve and strength unwavering. Yet, under his guidance, does Mercy find relief with both Angel and Saint.
Saint is harbouring his own secrets about his feelings for Mercy, he doesn’t want to have them, but they are there. When Father Salvatore takes his and Mercy’s confessions, truths are laid bare about that night with Eternity, which shocks Mercy, it’s like she didn’t know her friend at all, yet when Mercy bares her feelings for Saint he looks at her with such abhorrence.
Mercy is keeping her own secrets. Unbeknownst to her the Hellhounds have put cameras in her room, but Saint went one step further and injected her with an internal tracking device. Saint is protecting her and her innocence, and if Heath and Angel find out that he’s protecting her, their will be consequences, but what he doesn’t realise is that she knows how to handle herself, and Heath saw with his own eyes when she went up against the Sinners.
Every chance the Hellhounds get they torment Mercy, remind her of her sins and her promises. Yet she still has to contend with her mysterious stalker. There are secrets out there that need to stay buried, with the town built on the foundation of those secrets, Mercy is determined to bring them to light but at what cost.
With the festive season upon them, in the holiday spirit Mercy thought she would spend it with her aunt, however her plans are derailed when she learns her aunt is to spend it with her parents, parents who seem to forget they have a daughter, one they have abandoned all in the name of saving face with their reputation. And it is here that Mercy feels truly alone.
The Master has finally given permission for Saint to claim their unholy sacrifice. Both Saint and Angel have had a taste of the forbidden, but Heath will not stand idly by, taking matters into his own hands he intends to make an example of Mercy, holding her to her promises. He does the unthinkable, tying her up to the railing in the church, stripping her of her dignity, his intent to humiliate her, knowing that her family and friends are coming for midnight mass.
Alone, her thoughts racing, she tries to get herself out of the situation she is in, only an unknown stranger takes advantage of her in her compromising position. The pleasure Mercy didn’t know that she was experiencing with this man, that having her virtue taken, that it was meant to feel like that, liberating, because what Heath didn’t realise was that he gave Mercy exactly what she needed, absolution, but with who, we do not know.
I for one can say the spice wasn’t lacking because holy heck Saint, Angel, Heath and Father Salvatore are sinfully wicked, dirty, dark and depraved, and have no compunction with making Mercy fall apart any which way that they can.
Highly recommend both the author and the book. Now to anticipate how it will all unfold in book 3 - Of Saints & Savagery and what awaits Mercy, Saint, Angel and Heath and Father Salvatore.

These books are hard to read, I. Scanned, most of this book, I mean, I understand slow burn books, but this is a no burn book. All of the inner monolog and the backstores, I mean, she's even given backstories to secondary characters that you really don't want, I mean, it's like she's trying to stretch this book from maybe 1 or 2 books to like 4, it's terrible. Do not read these books.

What in the world did I just read!!!! I thought the first book was amazing, this one, ummmmm Mrs. Selena I need more asap!!! My heart was put in a blender and it went from chop to puree. My heart broke for Mercy, she’s my favorite FMC this year!!! I love her secrets, her innocence and her determination. I love this storyline I’m chomping at the bit to get my hands on the next book!!!! I need to know what happens with all these characters. Saint, Heath and Angel are a chef’s kiss to the dark and deprived MMC’s in the romance book world. They are OTTP, have touch her and….vibes. This book is part of the Confession of Mercy Soules series and needs to be read in order, so you can get all the juicy back story on the characters. Selena is my favorite author because what she creates is beautifully written in vivid detail, she’s gritty and will take you on a journey that will have your heart breaking and mending and your stomach dropping and you will shed a few tears for her characters. I love how she interconnects characters from other books. I’m so ready to dive back into this world and see what happens with Mercy and her men.

I couldn't review book one but...
This is book two in the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University, for two two books, I have been thinking Mercy is to naive to be real and wrapped to hard to her religion. If you have any kind of religious k!nk, this is the book for you. So the story takes place at a small Catholic university. We have the mystery of a 14 year old girl. There was a group of five friends, three older boys and two girls, two years younger. The boys are sent to a Juvenile Detention Center,because the final girl told the authorities she saw the three boys with the girl before she went missing. But the girl Mercy is the adopted sister of one of the boys, she believes she shouldn't lie because the Bible says not to lie. Because of her testimony, her adopted parents genome her sending her to an aunt's home until she is 18. She comes back to her hometown to attend school and finds the three boys, Saint, Heath, and Angel, still angry with her, especially Heath. They do everything they can to embarrass and humiliate her to get her to leave. The problem is they are also attracted to her. So this book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger were she is left in a precarious situation and taken advantage of.

Ummmm.... Mind. Freaking. Blown.
part two was INSANITY! Depravity is the first word that comes to mind! Complete and utter dark and wickedness and it freaking loved it! First off, I will say this took a total turn from book one!
No spoilers for your fun folks, but I was SO happy with how the other side and inner depth of each character really was brought forth to get a much better understanding of just how far, deep and complex cinco de Mercy goes! Character development in this book was phenomenal! Now, it should go without saying, but holy SMUT sesh! This was insane! A freaking rollercoaster of stuff I didn't even think could be thought!
Bravo!
With some serious spice originality and let's just say it exceeded my expectations and was an EXPERIENCE I
Loved that the plot was really full of suspense and mystery! Alexa and Selena have you hanging by a thread through the entire book on what will happen next and it's such a fun ride! I am ready for the next like IMMEDIATELY because the ending was a " WTH?!" moment and utterly fantastic! Excellent! Excellent!

Sacrilege at its finest.
This book is for a very special kind of reader. Me. I'M that reader. I love the push and pull, the bracing and caving against and to desires, no matter how deprived the characters may think they are.
I love that there are soft moments in all the rage and brutality, it makes them all the more special. I'm glad we got to see some of my favorite characters from the past again, and that we got to see a little more of new characters and their building bonds with Mercy.
I hate that I have to wait for book 3, because this cliffhanger was INTENSE! So many mixed emotions and I don't even know what to hope for. Gah!!

Super dark. The story continues of Saint, Heathen, and Angel totally degrading Mercy. I can't figure out how it is she can totally beat down other guys who harass her but she can't with these three. They put her through total hell and she takes it. This girl it super demented. The story continues from the last book but is darker. Heathen has issues. A person can totally understand his hate of Mercy for what he went through. Saint is her step brother and is a total Douch bag who just can't get a grip. The only one who is semi decent is Angel, oh and don't forget the priest. He and Saint are pretty much in the same boat. This whole story is boarder line sinister and there should be a trigger warning about rape. I hate that I didn't notice that the other book won't come out till then end of summer. Now I have to ponder what is going on.

This is book 2 in Selena's The Confession of Mercy Soules and I have to start by saying that every time I see a Selena book I am filled with both trepidation and excitement. I know that I'm going to be uncomfortable and captivated by the darkness that comes with these reads. And this book is another perfect example. Each time I think there is no way I can be surprised and every time I am. The storyline picks up right where Heathens & Havoc leaves off and is more deliciously twisted and entertaining than I could have expected. Full of suspense and let's not forget the smuttiness! Once I started, I couldn't put it down and I can't wait for book 3!

This is book 2 in the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University series and pulls us right back into the dark and depraved world where book 1 left off. I was dying for the second installment and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This book pulls Mercy back into a storm of secrets, temptation and morally gray chaos!
The spice simmers & explodes in all the right places🔥💦

Such a great read but definitely not for the feint hearted. It’s dark and twisted, gritty, torturous and I loved it!!!
The tension and secrets are hotting up in this second instalment. The mystery surrounding Eternity’s death is definitely getting more intriguing, the boys seem to be getting more cruel and Mercy is putting up with a lot more sh*t. I’m fascinated however in seeing how things play out between her and Father Salvatore as there are a lot of forbidden feelings going on there.
I found myself not wanting to stop reading and cannot wait to finally have everything unravelled. Looking forward to the next book that’s for sure!

Having said all of that I loved it. This is the second book in the series (much to my delight I found out there are two other series that are split off from this. SO EXCITED)
SHAME. that is what Mercy has engraved on the back of her rosary. She is in so much turmoil between the guilt, the secrets and the truths that are begging on their knees to come out. The forgiveness she so badly wants for doing something she thought was right at the time.
I cant say much because I dont want to give anything away. :)

Great sequel!
OA&A picks up where H&H leaves off, though I. This book we get a whole lot more of Father S, or as I now think of him, Daddy Dante. This book has a whole lot of taboo, and a whole lot of Faulknerverse crossovers. I do feel like I need to keep a cheat sheet of who is who since there are so many cameos (which is a great thing!) so I don’t spend so much time trying to remember who is who and how they are connected. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, and to find out what happens to Mercy at midnight mass!!!

Of Angels & Absolution is the second book in the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University series. It cannot be read as a standalone, you need to read book 1 first to understand anything. Of Angels & Absolution picks up where Of Heathens & Havoc ended, so we are back with Mercy and the guys. Mercy is still digging into the death of Eternity and the guys are still being cruel.
I loved this story, it was great to see the characters develop more letting you see a bit more of each person. I'm really intrigued by what happened to Eternity and can't wait to find out in book 3

Second installment to the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University series, picks up right where we left off in Of Heathens & Havoc. After that cliffhanger, we delve more into Mercy and her Hellhounds! Deliciously twisted and entertaining read that’s suspenseful, traumatic, and chocked full of smuttiness galore!!! Even more depraved than the first book, in the best way, of course. Mercy, thank jeebus, is so much more tolerable in this book!.

This is my favorite kind of book!! I absolutely DEVOURED this 2md book in the series and I can't even put my thoughts into words. I loved seeing this other side of Mercy and even getting to see some familiar faces from my other favorite Selena books. The twists will keep you guessing, the spice is HOT and that cliffhanger will have you BEGGING for the next book!

The sequel is just as tantalizing as the first installment. Mercy is still out on a mission to solve Eternity's last moments. We get more of her secrets. But most intriguing are the secrets revealed about the rest of the Quint. This raw and electrifying tale is so full of plot twisted angles you just read and enjoy the thrills. This book is brilliant and I can't wait for the third book!.

Uhmmmm.....what did I just read?! Wow, I was not expecting this storyline to take me where it took me lol. Is it dark? Yes. Is it deprived? Yes. Is it addicting? Yes. I am still a little unsettled because there were so many details in this book that really shocked me, and surprised me. I can't wait to read the conclusion!! I bet it's going to be phenomenal! I was sent a copy and these are my thoughts about this book.

This story grabbed my attention right away. I could not put this book down. There is a lot of suspense and mystery that kept me on edge and curious what or who was going to happen next. Father S. is a very sinful delight. Is she ever going to find out what happened to Eternity her best friend? And the boy's need to accept how they truly feel and exactly what they want. Please check TW. I highly recommend this book. These 2 authors do not disappoint. I can hardly wait for book 3.

Continuing on from book 1 and we are slowly getting a better glimpse of the MCs personalities and also the taboo relationship with Father Salvatore. Cruelty and bullying is still the theme and stronger than ever also the mystery of Eternity's death continues. I like most of the characters but I’m still on the fence with Heath. Such a well writing and page turning read and I can’t wait for book 3, need some answers

Wow I couldn’t wait to dive into the second book of the Fallen Gods of Thorncrown University series. Let me tell you it kept me hooked. Reeled me right in from where it left off in the first book. Love Mercy and the guys. Mercy is still wondering what happened to Eternity. Now I need the next book in the series. Hope it comes soon. Definitely watch for triggers. Lots of twist and turns. Absolutely love Selena’s books!!!

This series is something else. If you want tame and somewhat morally gray than look elsewhere lol These men are devious and twisted and Mercy needs all the grace and higher power support she can get bc dear lord. Bridget and Jake’s narration is perfect for these characters. Bridget gives Mercy that innocent voice while Jake provides gruff and cruel tones to the men in this series. It’s perfect and really sets the manner of these characters

Saint was right when he says Mercy is pathetic for still wanting him after his he treats her. The fmc is so annoying with her whining about how thirsty she is for any guy she gets a little attention from and then complaining that she is a sinner for it. It's repeated over and over. Like we get it. This is 2 books and almost nothing has happened. She's learned almost nothing about her friend's death. I don't think I can torture myself with completing this series. It's just boring.

This book picks up after Heathens and Havoc. You learn more about Eternity and how her death affected the others. And there is way more one on one time with Father Salvatore. This extremely taboo and steamy book leaves you wanting more and craving the next book to see what the next Hellhounds meeting will bring.

I honestly don’t know what to say about this book. The writing is flawless, the plot draws you in even though it feels slow at times and I will wait patiently for the conclusion! I did not like that mercy does not know who the person is at the end it kind of gives me the ick but I guess its meant to add to the intrigue.

Understanding
I don't know how to take Mercy. She acts innocent and pure, then acts out her fury. I think she's very lonely and has no one to rely on but herself.
She wants to find out what happened to her boyfriend and go back to how things used to be, with her friends and family. I feel she will have to choose what she wants more.

This book was so good! It was dark, twisted, and just the right amount of depraved! While following 4 of the quint we also got pov from father Salvatore which I loved! I also really enjoyed watching mercy develop some friendships! And I HAVE to know who it was! IYKYK…. I am dying to see what happens in book3!
