Why Nobody Wants to Be Around Christians Anymore: And How 4 Acts of Love Will Make Your Faith Magnetic

Rate this book
“They judge me.”

“They’re just a bunch of hypocrites.”

“If they’re an example of who God is, I don’t want anything to do with God.”

This is what many people are saying about Christians. Why do they feel this way? And is there anything you can do about it? How can you help give Christians a reputation makeover? Why Nobody Wants to Be Around Christians Anymore gives you more than just answers. Inside you’ll find practical helps and real-life examples of what it means to glow your love the way Jesus did. You’ll learn how to avoid pushing people away…and how to be a magnet for God’s love instead.

Authors Thom and Joani Schultz show you how to draw people into a meaningful relationship by practicing four simple yet revolutionary acts of love—Radical Hospitality, Fearless Conversation, Genuine Humility, and Divine Anticipation. When you have an authentic, heart-felt love for others just like Jesus did, it will transform your life and the people around you.  Get this book. Read it. Practice it. And watch your faith become truly magnetic.

If I could, I would hand out copies, or at least highlighted sections, of this book to many people I know. I live in the Bible belt and hear too many people doing exactly what the authors warn against. I'm a Christian who is turned off by the hypocrital, judgmental, scripture-quoting people who claim to be Christians. When these same people live their faith in a different way, Christians will be seen in a much better light. At times, I thought the four primary chapters bogged down, but, as a whole, I thought this was a fairly easy read. I particularly enjoyed reading about the authors' experiences and those featured at the Lifetree Cafe. White I rated the book a 4, I would actually rate it a 3.5.
