Captain Chemo is the first of the Captain Chemo and Team Series. In a child’s terms, the book explains how chemotherapy works according to Captain Chemo and the Chemo Team. First the IV drips into the veins. Next the veins are filled with blood. The blood cells stand in formation Finally, Captain Chemo leads the team throughout the body looking for any Cancer Monsters that may be hiding between the beats of the heart or hanging with some dusty memories stored in the brain’s library. With Captain Chemo on your side, you are never alone. Everyone is welcome to join and fight on Team Chemo. Onward! March!

About the author

One of the author’s most exciting accomplishments is her new Children Book Series. Each child is welcome to meet adorable animal characters as they learn about each holiday as experienced for the first time. Bonus chapters are added in each book allowing the child extra interaction through coloring.
The first book of the holiday series is called: Right Away, Orimae! which depicts farm animals who are searching for luck on St. Patrick’s Day in order to help Orimae, the milk cow who ran out of milk.
The second book of the holiday series: The Bunny Tale is an adorable Easter story about the Easter Bunny and his secret helper. See what happens when the he is forced to stray off the bunny trail and ends up finding a wolf who is hungry and hunting for dinner.

A Corageous Terminal Cancer Victim Helps Children Going Through Chemo  I don't actually remember how I first met Renee Robinson. I think it all started when some unmitigated 'Ho wrote a cruel review about her writing, and I jumped to her defense. That sounds about like me. Anyone who could write cruelly about someone who does what Renee does with her life deserves a smack-down. Of course, I have never met her in person, but I have been corresponding with her for a while. Renee is a Terminal Cancer victim, who just received the dreaded "There is nothing else we can do" message, a message I never received myself, but feared nevertheless.You see, Renee is the author of Captain Chemo: Out Cancer, Out! (Captain Chemo and Team Book 1). It is a poem, a poem designed to help children who are going through chemo to build courage and remain positive through the horrors of chemo. And believe me - chemo is horrendous. The pain, the vomiting, the weakness - it is all more than even adults can sometimes handle. Now, think about a small child going through the same thing - the horror of it all beyond their understanding. Renee's book helps. Renee's approach to children battling cancer is very positive. She gives hope to the little ones in a unique fashion. The coloring book at the end is a bonus to the young readers. I highly recommend Captain Chemo: Out Cancer, Out! to parents who are in this difficult and heart-breaking situation with their child. Renee Robinson is talented and knows how to reach her youthful audience.
