[Last read: CH293] Screaming, crying, throwing up! Literally cried and laughed at the same time because of this volume. I especially love that each and everyone had their own moments but Isagi really deliciously exploited and devoured all of them—as he should! His tactics and his rapid concoction of evolution are what makes him so fascinating not only to readers but also to the players that are playing or having a rivalry with him. This is Yoichi Isagi's magic! What a good day to be an Isagi fan. I'm just cracking so much because Kaiser really crashed out because of Ness. Well, aren't you the Emperor? You should've been the one who was at that spot where Ness passed. Also, loving the Loki and Noa interaction. It's obvious right from the start that Noa has been using everyone, especially Isagi. That shitty master hasn't taught them properly unlike other masters from other teams; doesn't stop me from thinking that he's majestic though.

Now that the Neo Egoist League is finally reaching its grand ending, I wonder what's in store for our egoists. And I can't wait to see more!

2.5 stars - it was fine.

I feel like Isagi beating Rin so early on in the series just sucks the excitement out of their rivalry for me.

Thinking back to my favorite sports anime, timing is everything. I will never forget Kuruko's Basketball and how they lost at the inter high tournament to Aomine's team. It gave the story more grit and just a general underdog angle; which Isagi already leans into but doesn't fully commit to. It just would've really helped the tension if PSG had won, but Isagi completely owned him in their next big match up.

Otherwise, this was fun!

I see why Ness was kept till the end, also man Kunigami’s ranking HAS to go down, he got subbed on and only showed up once after, the build up for him to fizzle out so quickly is shocking. The stars felt useless, feel like only two goals were scored by them. Fun arc overall, the best in the series!
