Dengan dukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Dirty Little Secret telah di-DNF oleh Joy.

Sebagai ulat buku and a voracious reader, paling pantang DNF buku. Joy hanya buat begitu bila memang dah cuba banyak kali untuk habiskan.

Permulaan memang menarik dan kelakar, tetapi awal² sudah boleh teka 90% of the dirty little secrets when Rose terserempak ngan Zyran outside butik LV, Pavillion. Jadi cerita ini I paksa diri sendiri untuk continue when I sudah tahu what’s going on.

Unfortunately, my mind kept wandering to other potential TBR novels yang berlambak dalam bilik I and I memang melalui fasa yang sukar untuk habiskan novel ini - dahlah beli hardcover lagi. 😭 Why do I even do this to myself all the time?

I’ll probably pick this up some time later but for now, I ingin cerita yang lebih berisi and solid you know?

This story will definitely appeal to younger readers and those that are just starting to enter the world of reading.

Tetapi Joy rasakan, untuk readers macam kita yang dah bertahun dalam dunia pembacaan, the thrill of this story lost its appeal and meaning too soon. I was hoping to be kept in the dark until the end and berteka-teki but sebaliknya yang berlaku.

End up, tak rasa dark sangat - just very entitled elite class people wanting what they want no matter the cost.

Oh ya, nak kata sesuai bagi young readers pun tak betul sebab Joy rasa for those intimate scenes, style dia quite similar to novel Dean, Hot With Benefits (Cik Bawang).

Another thing that bothered me:
Zyran dengan Armel. In the prologue, Zyran kata dia menggoda and rampas Armel dari Jebat sebab balas dendam. His feelings for her weren’t genuine.
Tetapi masa cerita balik dia kahwin dengan Armel sebab cinta mati etc…so, dia actually cinta ke tak dengan Armel tu? 🙄

The only consistent character ialah Rose walaupun dia psychotic and displays symptoms of Obsessive Love Disorder. Hahahahahaha.

Sebenarnya bila lagi tebal lagi banyak mengarutnya. Rasa macam boleh dibuang apa yang tak patut. Misteri dalam DLS jadi tak berapa nak misteri sebab dari awal dah didedahkan pada pembaca (sama macam dalam Kaf). Jadi perasaan teruja tu dah hilang. Paling tak boleh hadam, babak slumber party tu 🤢 (Yeah I know banyak lagi babak gila lain, tapi babak yang satu ni its to privacy la). Dan boleh bayang for DLL mesti more and more mengarutss

Oh you don’t know how much i love forbidden romance tropes. As expected, another masterpiece from Elvroseth. I just love everything about this book.

Zyran Arslan and Rose Theana are insanely in love and completely obsessed with each other. I dapat rasa the intensity, the angst, the pain, the revenge - it was mind blowing!

I could say that, Zyran and Rose memang a perfect match. They’re truly a match made in hell and heaven. Part paling I suka, Zyran grovel like omaigad i love grovelling man soo much. I tak kisah kalau orang nak kata Zyran cringe, sebab i love that cringey side of him. Zyran Arslan is too good to be true and Rose is so lucky to have him as her husband.

Overall, the author did an amazing job and thank you El for making me daydream while reading this story hahaha

My thoughts?


***SPOILER ALERT***


1. Aku ni kan memang peminat dark romance kalau english novel. And this is another dark romance written by Elvroseth. Best gilaaaaa kuasa 10! Awal2 baca tu pun aku dah seram siot, is this gonna be child grooming? Nasib baik takkk 🤣 ada vibe2 Hunting Adeline. Vibe je ye jangan salah faham bukan sama jalan cerita. Kau nak mampos haha


2. Rose - fmc favourite aku. Selamba badak je dia propose Zyran depan pavi sebab nak inspirasi menulis novel romance haha. Aku suka karakter dia yang bold, bukan jenis yang submissive wife. Baca page 135, you'll know what I mean.


3. Zyran - aku ada love hate relationship dengan mmc. Aku benci masa dia kunun nak balas dendam kat Jebat, sanggup buang Ana. Walaupun afterwards he comes to his senses, aku tetap geram pehal bodoh sangat kau ni tak reti beza perasaan sendiri. Padan muka kau kena sumpahan Ana heheh. Tapi lepas tu aku suka la Zyran. Gila tak suka haha


4. Aku masa awal baca sebenarnya memang mati2 ingat Zyran ada cinta hati lain yang bernama Ana lepas dia kahwin dengan Rose. Dia pulak pernah kahwin sebelum tu dan bercerai sebab curang. Tapi semua tu tak semudah yang disangka ye. Complicated rupanya. Plot twist sepanjang cerita tu memang gila betei. 


5. Part Ana kena kidnap dan kena seksa dengan Jebat, location unknown, lepas tu Zyran cari Ana macam orang gila memang buat aku teringat kat Hunting Adeline. Siapa yang baca dia tahulah. 


5. Ending dia masa revenge scene is my favourite. Puas hati beta. Muahaha


6. I love the fact that both mmc and fmc are morally grey characters. Kau takkan sedar sampai lah kau baca sampai habis. Damn. How dare you trick me like this haha


7. Last ada sneak peak kisah Darwish dan Nikita for the next book maybe? Can't wait. Macam best je. Enemies to lovers ke tu 👀

Seperti tajuknya, buku ni memang full of secret! Setiap watak pegang rahsia yg memang bukan cikai-cikai. Masing-masing punya dirty little secret tu akan buat kita terdiam sejenak. Mana dgn kegilaan sorang-sorang lagi. Seriously semua gila, semua obsesif, semua psiko! Haha

Yang menariknya, dalam dia beri kita segala kegilaan tu, penulis akan bagi moment untuk pembaca relaks kejap dgn living fairytales dalam ni. Zyran ni apa je dia tak boleh buat Rose bahagia? Semua yg diimpikan Rose walau mcm di kayangan, semua korang akan rasa. Cuma saya ni je yg kurang masuk sikit part2 living princess tu. Maklumlah, ‘org tua’ haha..

At first, jujur saya rasa cringe, ada masa rasa draggy. Tapi, susunan cerita yg penuh rahsia dan kejutan tu buat kita leka. Setiap yg kita rasa ada kekurangan, penulis berjaya lengkapkan cerita. Syaratnya korang kena baca sampai habis! Saya taknak ulas banyak pasal watak atau isi cerita sbb korang kena feel sendiri. Nama pun rahsia.

Memang DLS really hit different. Buku penuh fantasi, rahsia, obsesif dan Zyran yg psiko. Mmg sesuailah sebenarnya depa kahwin, sekufu sgt. Aturan cerita yg boleh saya katakan sangat bagus dari penulis. Sarat dan berat tapi kemas gila penulis susun satu-satu. Get ready mental korang je. Also, khusus untuk pembaca matang. Yg baik kita jadikan contoh, yg buruk kita buat pengajaran!

awal jalan cerita a bit draggy and boring. had to collect some mood to read it at first but dah sampai page 300 camtu it’s getting interesting. love zyran’s and rose’s relationship dynamic. they are made for each other (100% sure). concept pun interesting. cerita ni sesuai if yall nak light light geli geli story gitu. very nostalgic classic novel punya jalan cerita.

Boleh kata macam dark romance jugak. The plot is very interesting. —"A perfect match from hell?" 😌

Zyran dia nampak macam very interesting green but at the same time looks very bloody creepy red. Same goes with Rose. They sooooooo obsessed with each other. Sanggup buat apa sahaja demi each other walaupun perlu ada nyawa yang melayang.

Tak tahu nak bagi komen apa kat Zyran-Rose ni. Sebab dua-dua gila. Dah gila sangat-sangat. Memang elok sangat diorang dua ni. 😌🔥

Satu cerita yang susah untuk diletakkan. Rose dan Zyran yang obses (aci la eh guna perkataan ni) with each other. Tapi dalam masa yang sama, masing-masing terperangkap dengan masalah yang tiada penghujung.

Jebat ni punca segala masalah. Tapi pertengahan cerita boleh pulak hilang. Tapi muncul di akhir cerita dengan gayanya. Nak benci tapi macam amaze jugak. Oh, Armel pun hilang terus dari radar. Digantikan dengan Alicia pula. Macam banyak jugak watak yang hilang begitu sahaja. Mungkin penulis memang nak fokus pada Zyran-Rose only.

Peringatan: Bacaan ini sesuai untuk dibaca oleh pembaca yang matang (18+) kerana isu yang diketengahkan memerlukan fikiran yang matang untuk dihadam. Kalau tak, mungkit hanyut dibuai mimpi.

4.9/5 - If I have to compare with Kaf, this one might just be my favourite from the author. First of all, I have huge respect for her. I was speechless at the amount of research she did. To me, this isn't easy to write, you have to do a lot of research about pharmaceuticals, pills and medical formulas. Tbh, I didn't understand much what they explained in the novel lol. The plot really lives up to the title, it's all about their dirty little secrets. This novel has two POVS which sometimes got me confused but it didn't take away from my enjoyment in reading. This novel's trope is obsession x obsession. Oh, also psycho tho. To me, it's heavy to finish because honestly, I'm not a big fan of dark romance cuz I didn't find enjoyment in dark things. But.. let's make an exception for this one hehe :> Zyran Arslan, I honestly don't know how to describe him. I can't call him a green flag because of his dark past. And part of me wanted him to suffer for what he did to Ana. But at the same time? I'm crazy over him. He's so sweet and addictive. I tried to hate him but the more I flipped the pages, the more I fell for him. He actually.. uhh kind, but a grudge over 'someone' twisted everything. Rose Theana, she's the type of character you think you've figured out until you haven't. Anyway, from all the characters in this novel, I feel bad for her the most because she didn't deserve the pain at all. But I love her character, she isn't a weak female lead, she knows when to step forward. My favourite scene is when someone tries to make her jealous. She isn't afraid tho cuz she knows that Zyran only loves her. Only Rose Theana is tattoed in Zyran Arslan's heart. Zyran is a pianist, a CEO of a pharmacy company, and a divorced man because of his own fault. He cheated on his wife. Ana, his past, is dangerously obsessed with him, giving him literally everything. Rose, his future, their marriage starts off like a fairytale, but the sweetness slowly turns dark as secrets unravel. And the twists? It's nonstop until the story says "End".

Hampir sebulan weh nak habiskan. Berjela-jela panjangnya. Muka surat pun dah 9++ lebih😂

Macam mana nak cakap eh. At first, this book is very interesting yang buat aku tak sabar nak habiskan. Zyran ni gila dan agak red flag. Like helloo?! Curang weh! Satu perangai yang elok ke? Tapi boleh dikira hot la jugaaa 😭🤏🏻

Tengok review mostly kata diorang berdua ni obses tu each other. Aku be like mana yang Rose obses dengan Zyran? Bila part tu muncul barulah ‘ohhhhh i see’ Jadinya dua-dua memang gila😂

Bila orang kata buku ni kena baca sikit-sikit sebab nanti pening, aku memang ikut ya. Nak adapt satu-satu tu macam ‘hah tiber’ pun ada, yang ‘weh how?!’ pun ada. Alamak peninglaaa.

Tapi the biggest plot twist tu aku memang dah boleh agak ya. ‘That Ana part’. Boleh kata, apa yang saya fikir mostly memang betul pasal buku ni. Ada beberapa jela meleset sikit.

Buku ni tebal, of course ada beberapa unnecessary scene yang menambah ketebalan. Tapi aku sukalah watak Zyran ni memang terasa obses dia tu. Rose punnn, part yang pura-pura blur dalam kelas piano. Arghhh i’m screaming. Pandai ekk pandaii! Aku fikirkan dia naif mula-mula ternyata crazy girl! 🥵

Eh Zyran ko banyak kali ek kahwin cerita ni.

Fuhh! What a roller coaster ride, while reading this book. This actually my first book from elvroseth and it's actually kinda impressive storyline. I read way SOOO MANYYY good reviews of the author from the book communities. And I actually approved the hype.

Pada permulaan cerita, jujur saya katakan, cerita ini agak bosan dan meleweh. For real, buku ni tebal gila! Bercinta saya nak habiskan. Tetapi saya gagahkan diri juga nak baca sebab masih tertanya-tanya apa yang berlaku sebenarnya? Siapa yang jahat? Apa yang terjadi fengan masa lalu?

Buku ni semakin menarik dibaca, disebabkan tanda tanya yang terjadi. Tapi pada awal cerita, saya sudah pun agak siapa Ana sebenarnya. Cuma cerita disebaliknya masih menjadi tanda tanya.

Bagi saya, setiap watak dalam cerita ni semua mainkan peranan yabg penting. Dan.... semua watak dalam ni SANGAT GILA. Banyak suprise di hujung-hujung cerita. Nasib saya sanggup nak habiskan!

Betul lah, Zyran & Rose sesuai ditakdirkan bersama. Dua-dua ni..... PSYCHO jadi mereka faham antara satu sama lain.

Overall, saya suka! Oh, tak sabar nak tahu cerita Nikita & Darwish!

Seorang penulis yang bernama Rose Theana yang ingin mencari jodoh untuk inspirasi menulis novel romantik disebabkan penulisan dia kaku dan beku. Dia ni impulsive gila buat decision. Rose seorang yang periang dan lembut but dia tegas dengan setiap pendirian dia. Firm and strong. I love her character.🤓 Zyran Arslan ni green flag. Zyran simpan terlalu banyak rahsia. Semakin Rose mengenali Zyran, ada satu memori hitam muncul. Rasa cinta Zyran untuk Ana kuat tetapi Ana hanyalah masa lalunya dan Rose adalah masa hadapannya. Setiap karya yang Kak El mengarang, akan selalu berakhir dengan pengakhiran yang mind blowing. What an epic ending ever! Tahap kemanisan dlm ebook ini bikin cair patella. Zyran is perfect for this bitter reality. Way too perfect and it’s just a fairytale. But, despite being that, he has a really dark past. Cringe? Nah, Zyran worth that cringe. He's a gentleman.Really...really gentleman.

And YES! Our souls need this overload of sweetness.

I am new to elvroseth books and this is my first one. Idk about her book but i am kinda impressed w her writing. DLS plot is *chef kiss* kalau omputih ckp dark romance haa this one version yg sopan sikit. Mak lurveee 💖 plot twist over plot twist, smartass mouth fmc, obsessive partners enough of “spice 🌶️” that makes me blushing giggling. Lost count how many times i had to take a break and close the book to cool down myself. Gonna check out her other books for sure.

P.s OHHHH I NEED NIKITA AND DARWISH BOOK. Dah keluar ke ehh??? 👀

Saya paham buku ni maybe ramai org akan DNF atau benci (selera orang lain-lain).

But in my opinion this book adalah salah satu karya terbaik elvroseth. Saya baca novel ni dalam masa 2 hari je nak habiskan sbb the plot twist is twisting u knowwwww!!! Setiap chapter membuatkan saya curious apa yang terjadi antara Zyran & Rose ni. Walaupun sakit kepala baca tp serius sangat fun. Maybe sbb saya suka cerita yang macam ni kut hahaha.

Buku yang akan saya simpan dan reread lagi.

plot twist is mind blowing, the book is just the best can't say anything more, but...but what's happening there at the end, is book two coming?, because Rose said 'this is interesting' while looking at both nikita and darwish. don't keep me hanging. Please proceed with book two.

This book is crazy.. i cannot speak anything. Buku ni mmg betul betul apa yg dlm imaginasi aku hahahah. Dua dua gila and sumpah i love gila vibe female lead. Dia sangat memenuhi skenario yg aku cipta malam-malam sebelum tidur.
