Tara Taylor Quinn began her love affair with Harlequin when she was fourteen years old and picked up a free promotional copy of a Harlequin Romance in a hometown grocery store. Unaware that her instructor loomed close by, Ms. Quinn read blissfully on with one finger resting on the automatic repeating period key. She finished the book in the principal’s office. Forced to leave her romances in her locker after that, Ms. Quinn’s typing skills improved - a fact for which she is eternally grateful.

The Friendship Pact by Tara Taylor Quinn is a 2014 HQN publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, what an emotional roller coaster this book turned out to be!

Kora and Bailey have been friends since childhood and are really like sisters, the bond is that strong, maybe stronger. They have been through everything together from Bailey's very tumultuous upbringing to Kora's more traditional life which included marriage to her high school sweetheart, Danny, and her seemingly picturesque life.

But, into every life a little rain must fall and eventually Kora's life takes a turn she never thought possible and the friendship pact she made with Bailey will be put to a very serious test. Will the two stay BFF's ?

I had no idea what to expect when I first started reading this book. We sail through the girls childhoods at record speed and it's several years into Kora marriage to Danny when the story develops in a way I never saw coming.

I'm still gathering my thoughts on this one. I like a good old fashioned sudsy drama from time to time and you know, I don't run across many books like this one anymore, so it was a change of pace. I understood Bailey at times, not so much at others. I admired her will to survive and to break the chain of failure she was sure would take place if she chose marriage and traditional life, even though the formula works great for Kora.

I have to admit that sometimes people like Kora get on my nerves just a bit. She was just so perfect and when you don't have all that much adversity in your life, it's easy to judge others when they don't stay on script. Kora has her life and Bailey's all mapped out, but Bailey keeps upsetting the applecart. But, fate does come calling on Kora and I felt bad for rolling my eyes at her from time to time.

The plot twist that really threw a wrench into things was just weird and I didn't think it was true to the characters up to that point. But, it was a grand gesture and sweet in a way, a hats off the the grand friendship between these two ladies that some people didn't really understand and were kind of jealous of, so I was willing to see where it all went, even if I didn't see it turning out too well. I knew it would come back to haunt them and sure enough it was the start of a horrible downward spiral for all concerned.

Now, from that moment on things almost got out of hand and turned into a big, huge melodrama that bordered on total implausibility. But, admit it, from time to time we all like these big heavy emotional stories and so I found myself unable to put the book down because I could not wait to find out what was going to happen next and how all of this was going to play out. It was like watching a train wreck.

But, on a rare occasion, there is bond we forge in our lives that is just unshakable. Time, space, age, major life changes, tragedy, and some serious line crossing, could not come between these ladies. Theirs was a bond few could understand or relate to and was at times irksome to the men in their lives, but in the end it was what brought them up out of the dark corners they found themselves painted into. Without that, these people would never have survived the mess they were in.

Overall this was a interesting and unconventional story about the power of not only romantic love, which we read about often enough in novels, but a tribute to the power of friendship, and how this bond uplifts us even in our darkest moments, without judgment or punishment, just the knowledge that someone is there who knows your deepest needs, hopes, fears, and dreams, and will back your play, have your back, and support you even if they think you are making a mistake, and will forgive you for most anything. So, although this friendship was stretched to the maximum, and it all became a little maudlin at times, the message is still clear. So, go forth and give your bestie a hug and thank them for sticking with you through thick and thin...but it's not necessary to mention a kidney exchange.

The Friendship Pact

Tara Taylor Quinn

Bailey Watters and Koralynn Mitchell call themselves sisters even though they are really best friends forever. They are total opposites. Bailey has had a hard life while Koralynn comes from a wealthy family. Regardless, they have been best friends since they were five and most of the time, Bailey stays at Koralynn's house to escape from her "step fathers". They even go to college together and are roommates there. THE FRIENDSHIPS PACT is their story.

Koralynn is now married to Danny who has never really liked Bailey. He tolerates her for Koralynn. Bailey keeps breaking Danny's best friend Jake's heart over and over again. After her last breakup with Jake, Bailey decides she wants to have a baby but not the natural way. She wants to do it by IVF and Koralynn does not want Bailey to become a single mother. The only ally Bailey has in this decision is strangely enough, Danny. Actually, Bailey thinks Danny would be the perfect donor, but he is married to her best friend. Hang on my friends, things are going to get very rough and crazy. It's like driving up on a car accident. As much as you don't not want to look, you can't turn away. Once I started reading THE FRIENDSHIPS PACT it was very hard for me to put it down. I had to see where these friends would end up!

THE FRIENDSHIPS PACT is the story of a very very close friendship between two women. They both want the best for each other and are always there to support one another. The story is told by both women in first person and sometimes in the third person. Even though they might not always agree with their choices, readers will really get to know the characters. You will find yourself laughing and crying along with them as they make choices about their future. THE FRIENDSHIP ACT is filled with twists and turns that I didn't see coming. It is also filled with love, heartache and healing. This is my first book by Tara Taylor Quinn but it certainly won't be my last.

Riveting from start to finish.

Searching and searching in Google for an author with a last name starting with ‘q’ for the a-z author reading challenge I’m completing with a friend I came across Tara Taylor Quinn - thought her name sounded interesting so browsed in Amazon Kindle books and located this eye-catching title ‘The Friendship Pact.’ A new to me author so naturally (though half way through the book) I was curious about this author and checked out her website and holy cow, Tara Taylor Quinn has written over 80 books and is also a five time finalist for the RWA Rita Award. Well, I must say I did exceptionally well in the choosing.

I went into this book with no expectations - always the way to go… which equals to no disappointments (though, I’m rarely disappointed in a book).

I can say with certainty that this was a fabulous tale, it was sweet and sad and truly, a sheer joy to read. The author weaves a beautiful tale of two incredibly strong women, Koralynn and Bailey, and the circumstances that may threaten to tear them apart but will the strong bond they share save their friendship?

The twists and turns were surprising and the ending, oh the ending… amazing, beautiful and simply superb.

At First Sight: Koralynn and Bailey have been best friends since they were 5 years old, and have gone through life's milestones together with Bailey often staying at Kora's house as her mom's life imploded over and over again with the comings and goings of her stepfathers, and later with them rooming together in college.

There is nothing to test their friendship, not even Kora's husband Danny- her high school sweetheart - who never warmed toward Bailey, even though he has known her just as long as he has known Kora - partially because Bailey keeps on breaking Danny's best friend Jack's heart time and again.

Bailey thinks she's not built for relationships, not the way Kora is anyway, and after ending things with Jack, Bailey realizes that she really doesn't want a husband - much as she does love Jack, she's terrified of being married to him - but she definitely wants a child; and, much to Kora's displeasure, she wants to try IVF.

Kora herself is trying to get pregnant, and she's so happy with her life that she wants Bailey's life to be just like hers - with a nuclear, traditional family at the center - so she's dead set against Bailey being a single mother. Bailey hates fighting with Kora and not being able to share this with her, but she finds an unexpected ally in Danny, who gets why Bailey wants to go it alone (after seeing his own parents go through a nasty divorce years before). In fact, someone like Danny would be the perfect donor for Bailey... if he weren't married to her best friend.

Second Glance: The Friendship Pact is not my usual cup of coffee (I don't drink tea), it's not even like the Cosmo I drink once in a while when I crave alcohol but don't wanna get drunk. It's some strange mix, like when you decide to try all the flavors at the soda machine at once. It's strange, can't say is GOOD, but it's oddly addictive.

That's pretty much how I felt about this story - and let me tell you that what I said above is barely but one half of the Bailey and Kora's journey. It's strange, it's a bit "everything and the sink" yet, I couldn't put it down, I HAD TO KNOW where everything ended (and I found myself a little sad when it was over, like I needed an epilogue or something).

Like I said it's a complex story that has at it's center, a deep, deep bond of friendship. Kora and Bailey have this little phase between them: "I would give you my kidney" / "I would give you two", and they really mean it, that's how much they love each other, but their lives are very, very different. And they get tested, a lot, through the course of this book.

Jack and Danny are important players too. Jack is very in love with Bailey but can't handle that she doesn't want to marry him, and Danny is often in the middle between his loyalty to Jack and Kora's displeasure that he's not nice to her best friend.

Bottom Line: The Friendship Pack is a very messy, tangled web of things. Sometimes it felt like too much but it was very addictive and, in the end, I guess I did care about these people a lot. It was a very interesting exercise

Honestly, what kind of 'best' friend and 'good' husband go behind the back of their friend and wife and keep such a massive secret. This is betrayal in its deepest form.

This book was really enjoyable and just the kind of book I like in a lot of regards. It's about 2 friends, Bailey and Koralynn, who are more like sisters. This book follows the way life ebbs and flows for them through babies and husbands and accidents and all the other things life throws at them. It starts when they're teens and follows them into middle age and I love those kind of stories. This book does not shy away from hard topics and it really goes there, but the prevailing message of unconditional love is so hopeful and inspiring-- I really appreciated it. My only complaints were that the big twist near the end felt really out of character and could've used just a little more development. The reasons for it were legit but the development of it was too quick to be in character (in my opinion). The big conflicts both are revealed pretty conveniently and felt a little unrealistic, as well as the nice pretty ending. The other complaint is that it switches back and forth between 1st person from Kora's perspective and 3rd person. The switches felt a little jarring and a little uncomfortable at times and I would've loved it to just be 1st person switching between Kora and Bailey.
Overall I highly recommend this book.

SPOILERS AHEAD:
Kora has always been the lucky one between her and Bailey. Bailey has an alcoholic mother and a very rough home life so she moves in with Kora and her family and is quickly welcomed as one of them. I loved the family aspect of their childhood. Kora marries her high school sweetheart, Danny, but Bailey, jaded by the past in relationships and family decides that marriage is not for her. For some reason, Danny and Bailey never quite get a long but they balance their love for Kora and both recognize their places in a very harmonious way. Kora seems very perfect and Bailey seems very messy, but life isn't always as it seems. Kora and Danny are struggling with fertility and Bailey decides she wants to go to a sperm bank and be a single parent. She can't decide on a donor and Kora is having a hard time getting pregnant. Danny offers to Bailey to be the sperm donor as a way of endearing him to her and creating a connection between the 2 of them that will bond them and help them get along for the sake of his marriage to Kora. After awhile, she agrees and both women are pregnant at the same time with Danny's babies. Everything is going along swimmingly and Bailey and Danny are about to tell Kora when Kora has a late term miscarriage and loses their son. So they decide not to tell her about Bailey's baby while she's drowning in grief but she overhears it and is so angry. She storms off and Danny follows her in Bailey's car then Danny is in a terrible wreck that leaves him in the hospital for a long time. Kora cuts off connection with Bailey and dedicates herself to sitting vigil next to Danny's bed. Bailey has an off and on relationship with Danny's best friend (Jake?) and even though he's married to someone else he will always love Bailey. Jake and Kora bond over their love of Danny and end up sleeping together, evening the score with Bailey and Danny (even though they never slept together, he just donated sperm). I thought them sleeping together was really fast and out of character, but I know its a legit thing to bond in grief like that. Of course, Kora falls pregnant by Jake and in the end Danny is okay, Jake and Bailey decide to get married (he divorces first) and they all decide to coparent the kids since Bailey has Danny's son and Kora has Jake's daughter and its all one big mess.

THE FRIENDSHIP PACT by Tara Taylor Quinn

Koralynn and Bailey have been friends ever since grammar school. Koralynn had wonderful parents but Bailey had a five times divorced alcoholic mother and a bad experience with one of her step-fathers. Life has not been easy for her. Koralynn and her parents have been her life savers. Bailey doesn’t trust men, but she does go to law school to become a lawyer, while Koralynn is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Danny, and is a teacher. The two women remain friends through thick and thin. Bailey refuses to marry but decides she wants a baby. Koralynn is not happy with her decision to become an unwed mother, but she would be very unhappy if she knew more about Bailey’s plan.

THE FRIENDSHIP PACT is the story of a very close friendship between two women. They support and want the best for each other. Bailey makes a decision that can change everything. The story is told by both women in first person and sometimes in third person. It all works well and readers will feel they really got to know these individuals even if they do not agree with their choices. All the characters are very likeable in this emotional story. Wonderful story telling.

With the cute cover, and the way the story begins, I was expecting an easy and lighthearted read. However, The Friendship Pact was not that, but that made it a much more enjoyable read. The story was in a way like riding a roller coaster, because it would be so sweet in one moment and so heartbreaking the next, but strangely enough I liked that. For the most part it felt extremely realistic and I just couldn't put it down.

While I disagreed with several of the actions of different characters, I understood why they did them (for the most part).

The ending was just a little too easy, so I didn't care for that, but overall it was a pretty enjoyable read.

Content: some swearing and a brief sex scene (not very graphic thankfully)

I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.

Bailey and Koralynn have been friends since they were young girls. They were complete opposites but Koralynn's family took Bailey under their wing and the girls were like sisters. They went to college together and shared everything. Koralynn married Danny while Bailey decided marriage wasn't for her having survived all her mother's divorces and eventual suicide. She is best friends with Jake, Danny's friend and co worker. But Bailey does want a baby and thinks Danny would be the perfect father. How there lives change and explode with this decision makes for a powerful story of love and family. An excellent read and great story.

Another great read by ttq. Tara writes the most heart felt and thoughtful stories I have ever read. Most of her stories have some form of abuse and then the story revolves around how the person overcomes this abuse. The Friendship Pact is the story of two girls who become best friends while in grammar school. They make promises for the rest of their lives to always be there for each other and to not have secrets from each other. Bailey is afraid to believe in love and marriage, but supports Koralynn in her choice. I don't want to spoil the rest of the book by saying more but you will laugh and cry with them as they make choices about their future.

I finished this book at 3am, and went to bed. An hour later I got up to write this review because the characters and the story wouldn't let go of me. This had the emotional depth of Beaches as far as writing about women's friendships. These two had a rare bond that not many people share. I wasn't sure if there was any way this could reach a HEA. I would like to revisit these characters some time after the resolution of this novel and see how everything was working out with the solution they found.

Friendship For The Ages

I loved this book! The characters are so real- I feel like I know them or someone like them. We all think we know how our life will go but there are always surprises along the way that make it what it turns out to be! The book is fast-paced; a real page turner! I couldn’t put it down!

Amazing Story!

I really loved this book. The story has a lot of twists and turns, some of them slightly unbelievable, but the strength of the characters and their relationships with each other made it hard to put the book down. The plot moved at a good pace also. I highly recommend this book.

I received this book free from NetGalley and Harlequin Publishing as an advanced reader copy.

The Friendship Pact by Tara Taylor Quinn was a great read for the very beginning of summer. I was drawn to this book as soon as I read the description and saw it was about two very different friends who had been together most of their lives. I don’t find many books about friendships, especially between women around my age, so this was definitely a refreshing find, and truthfully I’m glad that I came across it.

Koralynn and Bailey met in elementary school. Even then they could see the differences between them, feel it like a palpable wall separating them, but still their friendship formed into a tight bond. Through high school and college they become as close as sisters, and Kora’s parents even accept Bailey as their unofficial daughter. Bailey suffers through the divorce of her parents and the problems her own mother faces with alcoholism, becoming stronger, though more emotionally withdrawn and guarded while Kora basks in the light of her parents’ love. But through everything that happens to them together and separately they always seem to understand one another, and to share a special bond that no one and nothing can break. As Bailey has trouble with romantic relationships, Kora is lucky in love with her high school sweetheart Danny. But the tables seem to turn dramatically when in their mid twenties, Bailey decides that what she really wants in life is a baby, and to raise that child as a single mother. Kora is vehemently against it, and makes that known to all involved, which while creating tension between the friends, hardly breaks them apart. In fact, Bailey waits months to do anything about it, hoping her friend will change her mind because she cannot do it without Kora’s support, but still nothing changes. When Danny comes to Bailey behind Kora’s back and offers to be the donor for her artificial insemination, they become closer like Kora always wanted. Bailey eventually takes the offer, but it creates a secret between her and Danny that results in disastrous consequences. Soon after the birth of Bailey’s son a string of unfortunate incidents threaten to tear the best friends apart for good, and change everyone’s lives and relationships forever. But life works in mysterious ways, and friends as close as family find their own ways to work through even the roughest patches.

This book reminded me instantly of Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, but without the lingering animosity towards one of the girls. I never at any point felt like I hated either girl, even though they sometimes clashed and refused to see the other’s point of view. Kora was so caring and optimistic and Bailey so grounded and determined that there was never a dull moment between them. It reminded me so much of my best friend and I, especially the way Kora’s family made Bailey like their second daughter since her family situation was always less than ideal. This book really drove home for me why I love my best friend and that through it all, no matter what life throws your way it’s always good to have someone you know you can trust wholeheartedly. I don’t know what I would do without my ‘sister’ Katie, and I think you’ll see as Bailey and Kora do, that friendship sometimes really is everything. The Friendship Pact is a book I’d recommend to any women looking for a great beach read this summer.

**4.5 stars for this engrossing story of best friends and how life's obstacles will end up testing their friendship.

Koralynn and Bailey have been best friends since childhood. Koralynn has always had the charmed life with a loving, wealthy family whereas Bailey has endured a troubled childhood with a drunken mother and her five husbands. Bailey's only brother has Cerebral Palsy and her relationship with her real father is estranged at best. Koralynn has always been Bailey's anchor as they've gone through life.

Koralynn and Bailey go to the same college, and Koralynn's fairytale continues as she marries her highschool sweetheart, Danny. Koralynn and Bailey want to live in the same neighborhood and raise their children together. Even though Bailey is in love with Danny's best friend, Jake, she refuses his offer at marriage countless times. Bailey has become a divorce attorney and between her mother's failed relationships, as well as her current profession, Bailey has witnessed too many people hating each other and she doesn't want that to happen to her. Even though Bailey has decided not to marry, she really wants a child and has decided to do IVF. Although Koralynn doesn't agree with Bailey's decision, she has decided to support her friend.

Koralynn's husband, Danny, is more than supportive of Koralynn's relationship with Bailey. He understands they have a special bond and doesn't interfere with their relationship, but even though Bailey has made attempts to befriend Danny, he barely tolerates Bailey for Koralynn's sake.

Fate seems to switch gears when Koralynn and Bailey become pregnant at the same time. Koralynn experiences morning sickness throughout her pregnancy while Bailey seems to bloom with good health. All of a sudden, it seems like life throws one curve ball after another toward Koralynn and Danny as they are faced with insurmountable obstacles. Bailey's life, on the other hand, becomes filled with joy and happiness.

Koralynn is unaware that Danny offered Bailey his sperm for the IVF treatment. Danny and Bailey have agreed to keep this a secret temporarily, but will their omission come back to haunt them?

The author does a great job showing the reader how close the friendship between Koralynn and Bailey are and how heavily they rely on each other. This story is fraught with emotional angst as Koralynn severs her relationship with Bailey. As these characters are torn apart, you feel the characters grief as they stumble to find their way.

As a reader, you become vested in these characters and become engrossed in their lives. I thought this was a great story filled with love, heartache, and healing. I love how the story evolved into Bailey being able to give her friend the support and love when she needed it. I would recommend this contemporary romance.

The Friendship
Tara Taylor Quinn
This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
Koralynn Mitchell grew up in a wealthy and priveledged home with doting parents, Bailey Watters experienced the exact opposite , a drunk for a mom with a slew of divorces behind her and an absentee father. But somehow they became the bestest of friends early on and that love for one another has lasted for years into adulthood.
"Promise me that if you ever need anything you will come to me. I will give you my kidney." This is their motto, the line that defines their friendship.
Kora and Danny get married quickly and they are perfect, so in love and happy together. But Kora and Bailey are still the best of friends. Bailey dates around and thinks about marrying Jake but it doesn't come to fruition, she is scared to commit because of her empty childhood.
After long and hard soul searching Bailey decides that she does want to be part of a family, but not in the tradional way- she wants a baby, she wants it just to be her and the baby. She just needs to find the perfect donor.
The story now evolves in ways that I did not anticipate. Who comes up with the idea of donating sperm is a shock and his reasoning why just pulls at the heartstrings. The events following the birth of her baby are shocking to say the least and certainly put everyone's friendships on the line. We start to wonder if this is truly going to be the end for these two girls, will this obstacle, this misunderstanding and the secret that Bailey is holding be too much for Kora to handle.
I was expecting a light story with a little bit of conflict and oh boy did this one shock me. It starts off nice and light and airy and then gets really deep and emotional. I loved it, The twists and turns were amazing and unbelievable. These characters all had alot of strength and it was certainly tear pulling to watch them cope with what life throws at them. I would rate this story a 4/5 and would certainly read more by this author.

When Koralynn Mitchell defended Bailey Watters in grade school little did they know that it would be the beginning of something big. It didn't matter that they were total opposites, that Kora came from a loving stable home and that Bailey’s was anything but. It didn't matter that Kora was the optimist and Bailey’s glass was only half full, or that Kora knew her high school sweetheart was her one and only true love and that
Bailey’s abusive childhood wouldn't let her believe in fairytales. They were sisters of the heart, they could finish each other’s sentences, and they made a pact, they promised they would always be there for each other, that they would “give each other a kidney” if they needed it. But when it’s time for the organ to be cut out that’s where the real tests are proven. When secrets cause hurt and covert actions feel like betrayals is when the “pact” is hard to live by.
Koralynn and Bailey will have their friendship tested, their loyalties questioned.
Will their Friendship Pact survive or fall under the battles to come?

Tara Taylor Quinn’s latest release is a mix of women’s fiction, romance and suspense, a haunting, heartbreaking page-turner and a one sitting non-stop angst filled read. Starring two incredibly strong, caring and genuine women with a fine cast of co-stars that will fill in blanks and add depth and meaning. Her narrative flows with edge of your seat intensity, honesty that’s often brutal, and loyalty that’s pure. Its a prime example of literature imitating life because its based on and dedicated to the author’s own special BFF. Her story within a story is complex and rife with life-changing obstacles, tragedies and triumphs. And as I neared the end all I wanted was more. Tara you have taken me on some incredible journeys before but none can compare to the passion of this one. I can’t wait to see where you take me next.

An unusual twist to a childhood friendship.

Bailey Watters and Koralynn Mitchell are drawn together as childhood friends. Koralynn is the child of affluent parents with an abundance of love they are willing to share with the young girl who becomes Koralynn’s Best Friend Forever, Bailey. Bailey is the second child of dysfunctional and alcoholic adults that didn’t understand their own relationship, let alone how to deal with a son’s genetic illness and Bailey growing into a young lady. The Friendship Pact takes this childhood relationship from its early days through most of the next twenty years. And through the years, the girls have continually affirmed their agape love with the phrase, “I’d give you a kidney” as an expression of what each would be willing to sacrifice for the other. There are joys, celebrations, changes, hardships and the moment that strains the friendship to the breaking point, including Koralynn’s husband, Danny, secretly assisting Baily to receive invitro fertilization.

Tara writes with depth. She develops her main characters, Koralynn, Bailey, Danny and Jake in ways that amaze me. She provides backgrounds that I couldn’t begin to think about and brings them together.

I started this book early one weekend morning thinking I would read some, then put it down. I was wrong. Once I started I wanted to know what happened next, so I read the book in one day. Occasionally I wondered why the story line moved as it did, but then Tara brought it back into place. I was engrossed in the story such that I empathized with the characters and felt their pain. I would have liked to see this story continue a little into the new relationship as I can’t begin to imagine how it will turn out. Tara almost wrapped it up too neatly.

Take a chance with this book. You’ll develop lifelong friendships and your deepest secrets will be safe.

The Friendship Pact by tara taylor quinn

Bailey Watters and Koralynn Mitchell consider themselves "sisters of the soul." Their circumstances growing up couldn't have been more different; Kora came from a wealthy, privileged family, while Bailey's home life was hard. They'd do anything for each other. "I'd give you a kidney," they always say. There are no secrets between them—until there's one secret Bailey can't share.

This is a story for every woman who's been in love.

Danny Brown is the only man Kora's ever wanted, ever loved, and her marriage seems as flawless as everything else in her life. Bailey, however, doesn't want a husband. She does want a baby—but only by IVF. And the perfect donor, the perfect biological father, would be a man like…Danny.
Koralynn and Bailey were childhood best friends. As they grew life changed and with those changes came changes in their relationship. Koralynn got married and Bailey became a mother. They faced many challenges and hardships. They had to decide if the pact they made as childhood friends was childish or was it a lifelong oath.

What happens when love and friendship collide?

Kora might be willing to give Bailey a kidney. But what about a baby?
What is the one secret Bailey can't share?
What kind of life did Koralynn have?
What kind of life did Bailey have?
The name of the man who offered Bailey his sperm for the IVF treatment?
The Friendship Pact by tara taylor quinn is a 4 stars book.

When I first started this book, I wasn’t sure if I would like it. The book started out kind of slow, but it was a part of this story that need to be told and I am so glad the author told the whole story.
As you can read in the synopsis that Baily and Koralynn are best friends, soul mates in a friend way. The type of friendship that every girl wants to have growing up and one to keep as an adult. Their best friend.
As I started getting into the story, I really couldn’t put it down, had to finish it all, but of course there is life, work and dinner to be cooked. But this story really touched my heart, and even a lesson in this story. Each person in this story had something to give and take, and the emotions were raw and real. I want to keep reading about them, the writer told so many details that I could feel as I was reading. I also love how Tara Taylor Quinn adds to the story about the young girl’s family is in need and how Koralynn and Baily help this family.
Like it says in the synopsis; What happens when love and friendship collide?
You will want to read this book, especially if you had or have a best friend growing up. Great to read anytime, but a great summer read as well.
Thanks to Prism Book Tours and the Tara Taylor Quinn for letting me read and review this book.

‘My best friend was right. Things weren’t the same anymore. We had to make adjustments. But what mattered most, the bond between us, hadn’t changed. And it wouldn’t.’

You know when you struggle over a decision, making what seems to be the best choice at the time, only to have it make things more complicated later on? That’s basically the premise behind The Friendship Pact. And what a truly tangled web of choices it is…

Novels about women’s friendship always get under my skin and cut right through to my heart. It’s a universal subject. We’ve all had a friendship or two that has in some way affected our lives. And this story gets down to the real core of how these two women, Bailey and Koralynn, became friends, why they stayed together, and the events that threatened to tear them apart after more than two decades together. Author Tara Taylor Quinn explores their differences and similarities, showing us how each woman chose their own path in love and life, but kept that thread of friendship, even during their most difficult times.

Read and Review:

I absolutely loved the bond that Bailey and Kora shared. Like they said multiple times in the book "I would give you my Kidney", / "I would give you two". Which is the sweetest thing.
They have been life long friends and all Kora wants is for Bailey to live the perfect life with a husband and children, but Bailey has a different plan...

I was absolutely addicted to the storyline, but it was the type of book I could put down and pick up and week later etc.. It was quite boring at times, and then it was absolutely addicting at other times.
I really wanted to find out what happened with Baileys situation, and if they stayed best friends. So that was my reasoning why I wanted to finish it.

If your looking for an easy and quite a beautiful friendship story, then I believe you should read it
