I am a shameless romance addict with no intentions of ever kicking the habit. Growing up I dreamed of entertaining people and taking them on fantastical journeys with my acting abilities, until I came to the realization as a college sophomore that I had none to speak of. Another ten years would pass before I discovered a different means to accomplishing the same dream: writing stories of love and passion for addicts just like me.I have always loved romance stories and I try to tie all the elements I like about them into my writing.
I love this series, always guaranteed a story with romance, suspense and close knit family and friends. This episode focuses on Deputy Peshenko and Claire Calhoun. Claire has secrets in her past she will not share with Pesh. When tragedy strikes, will their love prevail? The Carson family is out in full force to help with the situation. Amy is front and center with the investigation. We meet a couple of new characters, Claire's grandfather, Henry is the most interesting. He has some mental issues and Claire is the only family he has. Definitely a fun and suspenseful episode.
Daniela Acitelli narrates this episode. She does a good job, very expressive and her voices are easily discernible between characters. Very enjoyable.
Trusting in Love Amelia Rose I was wondering who will be next since the Carson brothers have all paired up. Now it is one of the workers to fine love. Claire and Pesh has been dating for 1 year but she holds herself at a distance. She turns him down when he asked for a commitment and she refuse to tell him why. Claire did not appreciate Pesh until she almost lost him. She learnt that trust is one of the most important thing in a relationship. Love that Amy followed her instinct about her deputy. I didn't like that the FBI lied the kids and cause their death. If law enforcement do that kind of things in real life, shame on them, it should not have happened. This series continues to be interesting, engaging and enjoyable. So far I love how they are all narrated.

A Contemporary Cowboy Romance Novel This is book 7 in the Carson Hill Ranch series. We are back on the Carson ranch and the town of Hale. The listeners get to revisit the family, but this book focus is on Deputy Peshenka and kitchen helper Claire Calhoun's romance. Lots of kinks and some secrets lend to the suspense in this book. Great Listen!! Now on to book 8. :)
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Daniela Acitelli gave great voice to the story.
"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."
All the brothers are married with children. The patriarch is aging and, mostly, retired from the running of his ranch - turning it over more and more to his sons.
What is the kitchen help up to? Why is one of the gals who works so hard to help keep everyone fed so sad? What about the fine deputy she's been courted by? What has happened to pull them apart? Worse yet, where is he? He went missing during a shift...and now she realizes none of her secrets from her past are more important that knowing where he is, and if he's alright...
Another wholesomely good story line. I'm slightly disappointed in the repetition of names though as it makes character definition harder. Ie: sheriff Matthews was killed in book 3; yet there's now a deputy Matthews (what happened to deputy 'diaper pants'? And is drug pushing Crazy Mack's human trafficking nephew Jimmy the same as Drug trafficking Jim or is this just another ring moving through Hale?
The troubles that the Carson have to face. This one had a really sad moment in it. Something I didn't expect. But the entire family and the ones around them keep me wanting more. So I can't wait to start the next one.
