Harkwright Academy, the place where dreams can come true.
A three-year stay will award you with an education that will rival any college and enough money to aid you in whatever career you choose. I’m applying to give my mom the life she deserves, to fund my sister’s medical bills...and so that I can have the only thing I truly want.
For my family I will give them my time, my soul and my body, but I will never give them my heart. This place is going to test me, and the guys very well could break me, but they won't keep me down forever.
The Harkwright Trilogy is a dark "why choose?" romance with some adult themes.
B.C. Morgan lives in England with her amazing fella, their twin devils (also called kids), and their pets. She’s a lover of all things creative from baking to drawing, if it’s creative she’ll give it a go. For someone who claims to not like people, she somehow always manages to surround herself with friends and family.
While B.C. loves bringing life to all the voices in her head, who demands she tells the world their story, she sometimes wishes they were less homicidal. But alas, what’s a poor author to do when death and destruction is being demanded?! To be fair it isn’t really surprising B.C.’s characters are acting like that, considering she has a list with everyone who’s wronged her. It started with the tooth fairy who didn’t pay for her teeth.
I cannot understand why this book has such a high rating. It was absolutely horrible.
The premise of this book is prostitution. I usually have no issues with what others do with their bodies but this book was not enjoyable to me at all.
The heroine Luna sells herself to boarding school for boys, in return she gets some money to send to her mother and sick sister. 150 girls were selected for the purpose of being used with no regards by the boys and since the owner of the school has monopoly over literally everything, no one could oppose him. The selected girls are numbered with no.1 being the most appealing and so on. Luna is a zero, this means she is even in worse straits than someone numbered 50. She has no number so she has to do whatever any of the boys ask her to in the hopes that she gets a number.
UnLuckily for her she's caught the eyes of the prince of the school, he wants no one to touch her until hes claimed her. He tasks his brothers to watch over her until then. The people that are to watch over her want her as well but they can't touch her. So they have sex with other people , she catches them several times and is always turned on. She is jealous that they are no doing anything with her.
There was a twist at the end which wasn't even remotely close to a twist, a toaster could have seen it coming so that fell flat as well.
So yea, my issue with this book is that the women were insultingly objectified, wantonly used and yet they had to be grateful for whatever stupid shit the guys wanted them to do. It was distasteful. Incase it was not clear I absolutely hated the heroine, she was pathetic and timid.
This isn't a RH, it's just a group of guys playing around with other women while paying more attention to one. I will not recommend.
It's COMPETITION time and I just can't look away from my screen !!! Where has this book been and why have I not seen it sooner? I'm a sucker for anything competition based and this reminds me of an adult version of The Selection, but better in every way.
I was engrossed from the start and am prioritising reading over sleep currently. Wise, but not wise 😅
Initially, I thought the blurb was pretty vague and I was slightly confused as to what I would be reading. I now feel like the author did this on purpose, so you walk into this completely blind. Risky move!!
I'm going to try not to give any big spoilers, but I will explain the premise.
So it was set in a dystopian world (not fantasy) where 50 girls are competing to land one of 15 highly desirable men. They are all ‘Harkwrights’ meaning they come from the wealthiest families.
This competition lasts 3 years, as alongside competing they are attending this prestigious university (which also attracts the girls that applied). Another review said the premise was prostitution and... they were not wrong. The longer the girls were there, the more their families got paid, but this wasn't the sole reason all the women stayed. At least I didn't interpret it this way.
The competition comes in, as the girls are numbered and competing to move up from their current ranking number (again my feminist mind needed to take a little break😅) They had to follow set rules if they wanted to remain. If they violated or refused any of these rules they are immediately asked to leave.
I understand why morally it would be a little harder to read, as the women are objectified and are there solely for these men, but the plot develops so much more than the initial premise. It's not all black and white. I personally really liked the relationships that were formed.
I loved loved loved the FMC. She was very meek at times and didn't necessarily fit into this world, but she wouldn't allow anyone or herself to be pushed around. She was quite morally righteous and so despite understanding the rules, she disregarded them at times. It was great to see her come out of her shell and I don't think these men were ready for her.
Her inner monologues were my favourite, as she was constantly fighting against what she wanted to say to people.
——-
I will be shocked if you're not confused about who was in this harem. The men just kept appearing and then would just disappear. It's not clear, but it kept me on my toes constantly. None of these relationships progress at a fast rate, so it was a slower burn. There are maybe 5 men, but I will let you be surprised as to who they are. Don't get me wrong the men with leave you with whiplash.
The author definitely has a knack for creating these swooney/ sweet moments that stick in your head. Especially when the MMCs take on this protective mode.
I did guess the main plot twist, as I think it was pretty obvious, but it doesn't mean I was any less excited about the outcome.
All I can say is you should read it immediately, it's one of the best RHs I've ever read. Big statements are being made 😂
’Close your eyes Tiny One, don't open them or move and feel free to say yes sir’
Hollow Hearts is the first book in the Harkwright Trilogy and man, those Harkwright boys are something else! I mean, what a ride this book takes you on! The world building and characters are really well done too which always makes a book so much easier to read! The concept of this story is so different to the others out there on the market and for that reason I was intrigued straight away. The interesting prologue grabs your attention for sure!
Luna is a shy, naive and meek FMC but honestly, that’s sort of what I love about her. In so many Bully romances the lead has to be overly strong to counteract the harsh levels of bullying but I am so glad that Luna doesn’t act like that. Yes, her inner dialogue is strong and feisty, but sometimes in life the voice in our head isn’t how we actually act in certain situations. As the story went on, she did start to become more assertive and sassy; which I also enjoyed seeing.
There are so many things I could say about the boys, but one thing I will say is that I have no idea right now which guys are going to join the harem! There are a few possibilities but for sure none of them are set in stone and each guy has a depth to them that makes them both bad and not so bad. Love that!
The ending of this book really made me happy and I was so excited and surprised and eurgh, so good! I can't wait for book two, I mean, with a title like Mangled Minds I just know I'm going to love it!
Hollow Hearts is a Bully Academy Romance Reverse Harem and is the first in a trilogy. I would recommend this book if you, like me, love this trope and genre! It was different to the others I've read and definitely made a refreshing change!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
My Feelings When I Finished the Book: Oh My Goodness...This Book IS SOOO GOOD!!! Holy Cow I need more Pronto! I can see this book as a adult anime or a +18 tv series! I’m Eagerly Anticipating Book 2 (Mangled Minds)!!! I’m going to buy this book the moment it comes out! I love everything about this Book/Series! I didn’t want this book to end, so I purposely slow read at the halfway point so I could just wring out this book for all its worth. What a fantastic concept that I hope becomes a trend.
I have never read any books from this Author & I’m highly looking forward to reading more!!
I Was Given an Advanced Copy for an Honest Review. There Will Be NO Spoilers in this Review.
I Give this Book a True 5/5 Star Rating.
Cliffhanger(?): Most Definitely! Heat: 3.5/5, This is not a bad thing AT ALL. It fits the book perfectly. Romance: hmm...Let’s go for an ‘Affection Rating’ instead 3.5/5, this is a pretty decent start to a series. And to me it fits perfectly, I’d rather have this rating than an 5/5 (that would be to ‘insta’ for me) Drama: 5/5 Suspense: 5/5 Dark(?): 3ish/5, I Love Dark Books, so this book may be darker for others. :) Predictability: uhhh...1(?)/5, I barely got anything right in this book XD and I LOVE THAT! Kept me on the edge of my seat. Relationship Type: It a RH Series. Just Not Yet. I WANT this> MFMMMMM < I HOPE I Get This! XDXD, I’ll maybe want 2 extra M’s in it, two others caught my eye Lol.
B.C. Morgan have totally smashed it out of the park, hit a home run, nailed it... this book is nothing short of a masterpiece, and definitely one I'll be recommending left, right & center!
I've followed a lot of this authors books, and I have to say her writing have grown leaps and bounds - and she's put her everything into Hollow Hearts - which is anything but hollow, by the way!
This is one of those books where I have to say: we can't be friends, if you don't like it 🤣🤣
Gah, that ending! I knew it! I need Mangled Minds asap!
This is the first book that I've read by this author and I loved it! Not only that, I simply couldn't stop reading. And when I had to, I couldn't stop thinking about it!
This Harkwright Academy world is so captivating. I loved the mystery behind it, and I loved the boys! They're cruel, twisted, arrogant, mean, rude, and so damn hot! And Luna, she's pretty amazing. A little bit shy, caring, kind, and always looking out for others. By staying her true self, she's a tough nut to crack. She's been on a radar for most of the boys from the get go, and jealous girls are only adding up to the fuel.
I can not tell you how devious and wickedly addicting this book was. I am utterly stunned! Can't wait for more.

Believe me My star, I'm just getting started. You're the prize and I cannot wait to collect it. My Star, My Harkwright girl and a legacy befitting a prince.
This is my first book from this author but it will not be my last for sure..I was lucky enough to get the ARC of this book. I don't like to read romance surrounding highschool ... but this book was an exception for sure..The writing and concept were really refreshing. ALthough i have found my new fav genre REVERSE HAREM recently.. this book was a great illustration for that.. the journey of a insecure girl to a temptress... who has the guts to choose multiple lovers.. Book has a cliffhanger...so you are warned.... book # 2 is going to be a blast!!!
I read this as part of a monthly challenge with one of my Facebook groups, and I gotta say, I love it.
This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. This book is amazing.
I love the characters and can't wait to see how this plays put. I'm addicted now. I suspected early on that Liam wasn't just a housekeeper.
Definitely recommend! Geesh, at least the next book is out in 3 days! I hope Morgan is a fast writer and releases often. I'll be stalking for sure lol.
This is the start to a new trilogy for B.C. It's definitely on the darker side and has some bullying in it. This story follows Luna Carter on her journey to Harkwright Academy. A place where the Harkwright men basically have all their wishes and dreams come true. Or that's what it's supposed to be anyway. I guess even a Harkwright can have a heart.
So let me be honest here, I wasn't sure I was going to like Luna AT ALL. Slow your roll, hang in there with me, let me explain. Luna has very low self esteem. Like NONE. There are reasons for this of course and you will learn about those. She definitely starts to develop some backbone as we get further into the book. So in the end, it all worked out. So if you are like me and not sure about her at first, give her some time to grow.
The guys, well, what can I really even say about them. Some of the guys are just absolute douchebags. Total A holes that you want to stab. Some of the girls too to be honest. But there are some guys we get to see a different side of and start to care for. At the end of this book, we really don't have a set harem. We have several key players but things are all up in the air. Especially with the little surprise Luna gets at the end.
Once we got to about the half way point, I was really invested in this book. Once it was over, I was ready to start the next one. So all in all, I think we have a really interesting and exciting new trilogy on our hands here.
Love, love, LOVED this! Such an inventive spin on the usual school bully scenario. The world building in terms of how everything works is superb and the mystery really well executed. The characters are likeable or really easy to hate (depending on who and your pov!) but there is still enough unsaid that a few things can go either way. Can't wait for the next one
First of all, the cover of this book is gorgeous. Second, the world building and character building is so good. I haven’t read a book this fast in so long. I read it in a day. I want to go to Harkwright, I want to live in this world. This book is different than all the other academy/bully/RH tropes, it offers something new and refreshing. I truly loved this book and cannot wait for the second one.
this is one of those books where i feel so guilty for enjoying it and i feel like a fake feminist but i can’t help that stuff like this is my guilty pleasure !!!!! i love an academy setting, i love a reverse harem vibe, i love a slow burn, i love a lil mystery element, this book just had so many aspects i adored and it was executed so well i loved it <33 i really like our mc so far even if she can be a bit annoying sometimes, i appreciate the fact that she doesn’t seem to have major internalised misogyny like most mc’s in these kinds of books + i loved that she had a fun hobby !!!
i did feel like the big plot twist at the end was super predictable but i feel like that was kind of intended for there to be hints so i’m not mad about it, i’m just glad it was all finally revealed and i’m so excited for the next book !!!!
i also appreciate the fact that i’ve been in a slump for ages and it’s been hard to read, yet i have managed to stay up til 4:30am for this book <33
I so wish i could give this book more than 5 stars. Hollow hearts is definitely what the majority of the prestigious Hawkwright family are. Hawkwright Academy, a place of learning which is a cover up for a school where women are numbered, used for sport and pitted off against each other to raise up the rankings (made by them) to gain more money for themselves. That is if they last the allotted 3 years to claim it. My god i dont know where to start on what was totally amazing about this book? Luna (FMC) seems to be the only genuine character at Hawkwright Academy especially with her reasons for being there and how she conducts herself whilst shes there. Even with everything that happens to her and some were pretty vicious. The Hawkwright guys - Aeron, Tucker and Maddox were difficult to work out. Well maybe not so much with Maddox. I liked him. Add to that the hot doc - Cole and the handyguy - Liam who both of seem to want to help Luna in some way. Shane was truly a nasty piece of work as well as some of the girls too. Still overall i couldnt put this book down. It kept me gripped from start to finish. It was that good. Dying for book 2
My mind is blown right now.... I felt so many emotions reading this book. From anger, to sadness, to curiosity and romantic connections. Nothing is as it seems either. It’s unique in that is it an academy setting, but it is unlike any academy you have read before. The guys rule and what they say goes. It’s kind of like a reality dating show meets hunger games. The girls are vying for the guy’s attention in order to better their lives, but at the same time they are all fighting it out against one another and yet have no control on what they wear, who they give themselves too, or how they act. There are a lot of guy contenders and I’m not sure who will be in the harem yet. Not everyone is showing their true selves so it is hard to know especially with how alpha some of them are... though I have a few ideas. I adored Maddox but I’m not sure how that will play out, but he is sweet and I think she could use a sweet one. Aeron is the bad boy type, but who seems to be running from something. Cole is the perfect doctor/golden boy but who I’m sure has more hidden secrets. Tom, I was rooting for toward the beginning, but then he faded into the back, but I still liked him. He is the mystery one. Tucker, our mean cranky giant rebel, not to be confused with Darius the mountain bodyguard. Tucker likes to push boundaries and break rules. I like Tucker and think he understands her, but he also hurts her with his words so he will need to make up for that. Not sure if Darius will play into anything yet. The ultimate enigma is of course the dark prince. The extreme alpha a-hole. I had a feeling early on about him, but no spoilers.
There are still a lot of mysteries going on. Who were her biological parents? What happened to her sister? What is the game Emmett is playing? Why are both Sir and him obsessed with her? Are all the guys related? That part confuses me. I definitely feel like there is something with Tucker and Aeron as well that I want to know more about. Why did Tucker prove s point that one night? I also get frustrated with them liking her but still being with the other girls.... I want them to be all about her but I guess that will come. I really hope he wasn’t with Carly. I feel like it is a misdirection and not true. I’m hoping so anyway. 🤞🏻
I have a feeling I will be thinking about these characters and this book for days. That is the telling of a great story teller/writer. Single narration. Some mild steam, but will increase I feel like as the story progresses. Some bullying. Dark Romance. Mystery/Intrigue. Quiet, naive, innocent, awkward, but with inner strength FMC. A whole bunch of jerks who make you want to bow down to them 🥰 Great story.. don't hesitate to read it!
BC Morgan is a new author to me and to say I found a new author I like is a total understatement! I am blown away just from one book. I was barely even made it through the dedication without knowing it was going to be a book I love.
This book completely owned me. I am just in awe how such intriguing characters can be in one book. This book left me speechless and my heart hurt because I need more of these characters. The story/ plot alone will drag you in if you are one for bully romance, academy schools, and emotional points. There are so may amazing characters in this book, its hard to pick just one to fall in love with. These boys of these academy are so mysterious, wild, and all over hot!! Then there is Luna Carter. I absolutely love when I can relate to a character so much that I feel like its my story being written. This has only happened two other times before, and it develops such strong feelings towards the book. I truly love Luna's character. She never wants to draw attention to herself, but yet so strong when she needs to be. She is just like me when she would rather put others before herself, truly selfless.
There has only been one other book released this year, that has drawn me in so much that I can't seem to get out of their world for a few days, just like this one has. I am honestly so in love with this book that I am ready to sign an application for myself to apply to the Harkwright Academy! Sign me up, I want in, I'm obsessed!! This was a phenomenal book, hands down flawless. I honestly, want more now, like I wish I could have book two yesterday. I don't think I will ever be able to get enough of these characters. I literally just want to sit here and type how amazing of a book this is but I'm pretty sure you all will just get bored. So, I just gonna wrap up and say READ THIS BOOK!! You won't want to miss it, you won't regret reading it, you'll be so happy you read it!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Holy mother of all things good. This book is fire! From the prologue BC Morgan had my little heart held in her fist and I was addicted to Luna Carter's story. I stayed up until my eyes literally could not stay open for a second longer because I just could not put this book down.
Luna Carter is a funny, snarky badass wrapped up in layers of insecurities,self-doubt and anxiety. She's quick to blush and struggles not to stammer her words and yet from the very beginning you can see her backbone and her inner fire through her inner monologues. The moments where Luna lets it out for the world to see (typically in anger or in the defense of someone else) are just ahh *chef's kiss*
Luna has definitely become one of my favorite female main characters, I loved watching more of her sass come out through this book and I really can't wait to see how she continues to grow into her confidence.
Her men? Well here's the interesting thing, I don't actually know who is going to end up in her harem. Which is pretty different but I think it made me like this book all that much more. The dynamics between the men and Luna are interesting to watch unfold. For the most part, I think they just don't know what to make of her, and for a bunch of entitled brats it's pretty funny to watch them trying to figure her out. Meanwhile, you're with Luna trying to figure out if there's more to these men then money and assholishness.
Overall a very enjoyable read that's hard to put down. The drama, the mystery and the characters all keep you intrigued and wanting more of this world. There are enough hints of whats to come to figure some parts out for yourself and foreshadowing what's to come in the series.
Hollow Hearts- If I’m being totally honest I would have to say initially Luna was not my favorite mc. I enjoy reading the quirky, funny, reluctant hero, the broken ones or even strong bad ass type. I am not usually drawn to the shy, soft spoken, hair tucking, meek ones at all. With that being said, as the story progressed she did come out of her shell some and I really liked the character development. So if you’re like me don’t let it stop you! BC always has me reading things that I wouldn’t normally like and throughly enjoying it. This is a contemporary bully/academy book and the author really hit all the tropey marks. I enjoyed reading her range of assholishness. I mean there were like 3 nice guys in the whole book. The rest range from mega jerk to Satan. This book is steamy!!! Our girl finds herself in some very compromising situations that were really fun to read about. I will say that their are definitely some non-con themes, which again are really not my thing, but nothing too bad that I didn’t want to keep reading it. The book definitely didn’t end like I expected it too and I love when that happens. The story was good, the characters were interesting and Morgan took us on a twisting ride that I did not want to get off. I have so many questions and I need book 2 yesterday! So if you’re game for a steamy contemporary academy read with darkness, secrets, and a little mystery, this one is for you.
This book was amazing, so well written. I was totally enthralled and could not put it down until the very last word. The storyline is so unique, I’ve never read anything even slightly similar. The twist and turns are so detailed, the suspense kept me guessing the whole time. I definitely will be reading the next book, that cliff hanger sucked - I wish I could continue with the next book NOW
B.C. Morgan you’ve done it again. You have pulled me in from the first words and haven’t let me go until the last words were read. Your stories have a way of taking you in and not letting go. I for one can’t wait for book 2 .
Hollow Hearts is my favorite BC Morgan read to date! I liked that the story is an academy reverse harem, but also a little bit of an urban fantasy. The FMC is great and so are the Harkwright boys (well, some of them that is!). In true Morgan fashion not everything is as it appears in this book. There are lies and betrayal and darkness abounds. Hollow Hearts is an apt name for this story and I can't wait to see where book two takes us!
Since the first chapter I could not put down Hollow Hearts. This is one of those books that just grab your attention and does not let go until the end. Of course you are left needing to find out what happens next.
I really enjoyed the darker theme here. You have the Harkwright men who have this school for women to go to and that if they do what ever they want, then the girls can privileges given to them, maybe even a Harkwright heart. Things are not what they seem, for there are some who get to exercise their darkest desires there. Who use these girls for their own little games. They rely on the girl's dreams of bigger things, or their need maybe for the money that will be given at the end, if they make it that far.
Enter Luna Carter, she needs that money to help her family. And she will do whatever it takes to get there. Even put up with bullies. But what happens when you catch the prince's eye?
Let me tell you, once I started this, I could not stop. I had to find out what Luna had to face. She is super protective of her sister and would do anything for her, which she proves time after time. You can see the fight in her, and I really can't wait to see her unleashed when she can say and do what she wants.
Overall, Hollow Hearts is a great start to this trilogy and I cannot wait for more.
This book will grab you from page one and keep you wanting more!! Luna signed up to go to the famous Harkwright Academy and all the drama that comes with it in order to get the benefits at the end.
Luna has always been a loner, shy, and socially awkward . She is the last person you would think would apply to attend Harkwright Academy. Everyone has there own reasons for going, and Luna is no different. Hopefully she can stay true to herself and come out on the other side the same as she went in.
Luna grabs the attention of a few of the Harkwight men, and they prove to be as cruel and rude as all the rumors, and in the process of trying to find her footing within the Academy and with the other girls, Luna catches the attention of prince of Hawkwright and she refuses to believe all the rumors surrounding him, which proves to cause her more trouble than she wants.
This book left me with more questions than answers and I can’t wait for book two!
I absolutely loved this! I got absorbed right into it once Luna got started at the academy. I'm liking the Harkwright boys' different personalities or the little glimpses we get to see. I adore Maddox (he is such a sweetie) and I love Tucker (we'll all know him for his great taste in dresses!). Aeron is definitely peaking my interest with the little glimpses we get to see and Emmet is a mystery I'm not too sure on just yet. Cole I'm not too bothered with because all the other guys have peaked my interested more.
I got lost in the story and am definitely excited for the next part! Hopefully we'll get a glimpse into Luna's parents' past in the future books and see more develop between Luna and her Harkwright guys!
I can honestly say i will never think of an ice cube the same way again
At first i was like eh, then confused, mmmkaaay "fans ones self" and lastly like OMG nooo i did not want it to end.
Overall: Two Thumbs up cuz ya know i only got two so that means something plus I'm that weird lame person who gives thumbs up for appraisels
Personally it felt a like Bully Romance with a The Selection flare (know what i mean?? Kiera Cass) I also equated dystopian vibes too it. DEFINITLEY not what the author intended or remotely hinted to but it helped me make it more believable in my mind at least. BC what university setting has less than a 100 students? 15 Harkwrights + 50 girls + 5 backups
Plot Twist: saw it coming...but still enjoyed it FMC: annoying at times but many can relate to her timidness & insecurities while trying to stay true to ones self Harem: Aeron, Tucker,Cole (not totally sure how that would work out yet) & ? (not going to ruin it) so far..buuuut there are a couple i would def add Ending: Cliffhanger that leads to more mysteries, I'm curious to see how it will play out
There where some parts that bothered me. For example, the #1 one thing that irked me was: holey moley wait these guys are all some what related?! I wanted to go back and reread the beginning to see if i missed it (if i did please let me know) but seeing as i am a busy bee; i aint got time for that! #2. The fact that in her some of her inner dialogue she made herself seem like a bad momma Jamma but couldn't say a single cuss word IRL.
I think this has easily become my favorite book by BC Morgan. I'm usually drawn to strong female main characters, ones with obvious powers or capabilities that never back down from the problems that they come up against. Luna is the other side of the coin. She is timid, likes to keep to herself, and has some serious self confidence issues. Despite all of those things, she is the strongest girl at Harkwright Academy. Why you ask? Because when all of the other girls are changing and bowing down to the demands of the Harkwright men, Luna is remaining herself. She isn't doing drastic things to gain their attention (although that is happening all on its own). She bakes to release stress, she cares for others when she thinks they won't get it from anyone else, and she helps those in trouble when others just stand around and gawk. She may not be going out of her way to make others like her, but just being herself is drawing them in. She's different, and I'm assuming it's refreshing. Could they be taking advantage of her naivety? Sure. But do I think some honest feelings are in play and a real relationship(s) could come from this crazy mess? You betcha. Some of these men are actually putting in time to get to know her, something that never happens, and what they find is a shy girl who can have a backbone when necessary, is kind to others, and doesn't let rumors ruin her perception of a person. She is willing to look past all of the gossip to see the side of people that is usually glossed over. Just like she wants others to stick around and make an effort to get to know her, she knows that she must do the same in return. Could the rumors be true? Yes, but isn't there more to a person than just those petty rumors? Everyone is worthy of love. They just have to find the right people to recognize that worth. It's going to be a rocky ride ahead, but I'm excited to see what becomes of Luna and the men currently flocking to her.
Virgin enters a school to prostitute herself to the men, so she can earn money to pay for her sister in the hospital and open a bakery. Only she will only get paid the money if she makes it 3 years, doesn’t drop out, doesn’t get kicked out, or doesn’t die (which apparently isn’t uncommon because the men are monsters).
The plot is garbage but the book is well written. It’s engaging enough to keep reading. That’s all I can say. I’m honestly so proud of myself for finishing the book and not giving up on it. I have way too many DNFs.
Oh my gawd! This book is amazing. BC is an ace writer but this book.. this book is absolutely amazing and has you hooked. It’s one of them where you don’t tend to sleep as your too busy reading thinking “just one more chapter” and before you know it - it’s 4am and you’ve got work in less than 2 hours 😂 Totally ace read. Cannot wait until the next book comes out x
I'm in one of those difficult moments where you just finished an epic book that you loved, but don't know the words you want to use when writing a review. I feel like I don't know what to do with life right now... Fb sucks... Games on my phone suck... TV sucks... Can't even think of starting another book right now. I feel bad for whatever book I do end up starting next because how can they possibly compare?
From the start of the book I was transported to another world, one where things come across as obvious but have me constantly second guessing myself on whether I'm right or wrong. The story is fantastically set up with an introduction that draws you in and catches hold of your attention all the way till the end, where you are stuck trying to flip to the next page that isn't there.
The guys in the book are sinfully delicious. They create so many wonderful moments of sexual tension that you just want to take the place of the fmc. On the other hand the guys are also infuriating and you just want to smack them upside of the head and ask them what the.... they are doing.
Oh and that sexual tension I mentioned... Yea it leads to some steamy scenes that will leave you needing to fan yourself and we haven't even hit home base yet!
I want the next book so badly right now! This book was fresh, different, unpredictable and highly addictive. I 100% recommend it!
