Won this book as part of a contest by the Author, Bobby Nash and was instantly hooked!
As a fan of the paranormal, I am familiar with the work of Hans Holzer and his many books, so I was immediately pulled into the story when I learned it centered on his daughter Alexandra Holzer as she tries to prove that she can carry the torch her father once held in a time and age where women struggled to earn a place in society… and even more so in paranormal circles.
A very entertaining read as a daughter, along with her fiance’ and others, struggles to prove herself as fights against the ‘Forces of Darkness’ that had been set in motion years before by her father!
I normally don't read paranormal novels. However, as Bobby Nash is the author, I had to read this one.
A great read, I liked the plot, the characters and the dichotomy between Jacob and Samuel. As I read, I could see the movie playing out in my mind.
The only thing I found lacking, was that the time period of the book wasn't evident. Only the absence of cell phones and computers gave any indication that this was taking place in a different era. I only knew from the book blurb that this book takes place in the '60s.
I do look forward to reading more about these characters.
A fun read from start to finish. The characters in this book are fantastic. I really enjoyed the story that our protagonist finds herself caught up in. I only wish that the book had been longer because these characters are so much fun that you don't want to story to end. The poem included at the end of this book was really good and tied in incredibly nicely to the story. If you are a fan of occult researchers and things that go bump in the night, then Ghost Gal is the book for you. I can't wait until the next installment of what promises to be a fun series.
Ghost Gal: The Wild Hunt is a fantastic introduction to the fictional paranormal world of ghost hunter Hans Holzer and his daughter Alexandra. Bobby Nash has written a fun family adventure with an eerie atmosphere, powerful villains, mysterious supernatural allies, and a plucky protagonist. I'm looking forward to reading more!
