I feel bad for people who are so snobby they look down on manga/anime—there’s a whole medium of fantastic storytelling that they’re missing out on. Boo, you’re not fun!!!

I wasn't expecting much out of legally-distinct ghostbusters in high school, but this was an absolute hoot. Mixing horror with zany humor works better than you might think, and having the straight man of our group basically filling that role because he's the only one without psychic powers makes the set up both funnier and more natural than I was anticipating. I don't necessarily seek out as much shounen manga as shoujo and josei, but I'll keep reading this.

J’avoue que quand je l’ai vu dans la sélection je n’en avais pas forcément envie mais au final c’est un manga plutôt sympa assez drôle. Je pense qu’il pourrait plaire à des ados.

5★'s This is way funnier than Dandadan. It’s a story about 4 lonely students who became friends because they share the same psychic ability to see ghosts. We have an exorcist, an otaku who can see ghosts, a socially anxious guy who can only hear ghosts, and a prodigy honor student. Together, they formed a club called ‘Phantom Busters’ to help their exorcist friend exterminate ghosts.

They're all so cutie and goofy. I know Eugene doesn't feel left out but it’s got to be annoying to piece everything together as it’s happening. Like what do you mean everyone can see the supernatural BUT him. ts is foul.

Loved this! Very silly and boyish but also has a good amount of heart. The expressions are so good and I love the main 4 boys and their dynamic. I could totally see this series being adapted into a fun anime!

This was a super fun start to the series! I love the character designs and the way the story is going. Being able to eat ghosts in order to exorcize them is unique and every character was hilarious. I’m looking forward to more from this screen

Very silly but also incredibly funny and entertaining. Provides a nice break to some of the darker manga out there and which I'm sure will become even more enjoyable the more we get to know these daft but ultimately kind and wholesome characters 🥹

Phantom Busters started off fine, but I don't think the humor hit the same way for me as it does for other readers. I liked that Neoshoco set up a good introduction for her leads and gave them distinct personalities in fun ways. Not at all like the doujin she's drawn for My Hero Academia. No, no, no. What are you talking about? LOL With this knowledge in mind (despite her separating her pre and post contract art by wiping the pre stuff from her socials. The internet forever remembers), it's fun to see how that doujin work influenced her first major series, from the designs, to some of the bits in Chapter 4.

Mogari's introduction does feel similar to another unsuspecting shonen protags who are revealed to be mcguffins, but he's still another no thoughts, head empty character readers will enjoy. I like Eugene's presence as a "straight man," and Kanzaki and Kotaro round out the group in a fun way. This series would be perfect for fans of supernatural comedies like Jitsu wa Watashi wa or Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun, but could also be a great entryway into the genre for a well seasoned action shonen reader. I'll keep going with the next volume and see where that takes me.

A teen that stopped believing in ghosts befriends a classmate who comes from a long line of exorists; her can't see the ghosts but has the ability to eat them. Once they find a classmate with the sight, they from a paranormal club to take on the ghosts. While there is some focus on the exorcisms, the real drive behind the manga is three outcasts becoming friends and getting to do normal kid stuff. It's pretty fun.

yeah… this is already peak. i don’t know the last time i’ve been this in love with a main cast of characters. MOGARI. MY KING. eugene as well. ZAKI. MY MANGA FUCKING KINGGGGG. and tamon. the whole squad is so charming and love the plot and i genuinely can’t wait to read more but also don’t want to read it too fast (also the bonus chapter of zaki geeking out over OPLA??? me too king.)

The characters were so good!! It was so obvious that the author is a BNHA fan, though not complaining at all! I’m obsessed with Zaki’s design and how fun Mogari is. Mogari reminds me of Fairy Tail’s Natsu so there’s that as well.

This was put on my radar when I saw someone say the main kid in this was like if Deku and Bakugo had a kid. Sold.

This was so silly and fun! I'm having a soft spot for these Shonen Jumps.

Four loner high school students band together and make a supernatural club, the Phantom Busters, and they exorcize ghosts! Insert humor, silly antics, and just some goodhearted fun.

Recap: intro bumpkin getting drowned, honor kid helping him and then they become friends finding out that the bumpkin actually eats ghosts. another kid who can actually see ghosts gets involved. slam dunk basketball side quest, okay we'll make a club but we need a fourth. fourth kid can talk to ghosts but he vomits anytime he talks to humans. Gets involved with a female ghost trying to kill him. He joins them, their new clubroom is haunted by an 800 year old ghost. She possesses one of them, they give her a great day, she passes on.

it's cute, cosy, funny, and leading to something that's going to be grabbing me by the throat soon, probably! i enjoyed it waaaay too much! the characters are fun and likeable, and the story is pretty fun. the art style is really nice!

it was initially going to be a cover-read for me, but seeing some chapters in sq monthly, i wanted to pick it up and read it and see for myself. i am happy that i did!!!

I knew I’d like this one! It was so good. The vibes gave off a mix between JJK (mainly cause of the characters like itadori, norbara and megumi) and My Noisy Roommate (exorcising ghosts). The comedy was great and every page kept me hooked. Not to mention the art? Hello!

I could definitely see this becoming an anime, and if it did, it would be awesome!
