Bewolfed is Book 1 of the Midnight Creek series. It's a short and steamy, paranormal, fated mate, witch gets her werewolf romantic suspense. Elowen is a young college student and witch who has returned home after finding out her Aunt Rose is missing. Rose raised her and is a powerful witch. Rudy is a hunky, grumpy, lone werewolf and private investigator. He has been investigating missing witches and issues of blood magic. He confronts Elowen when he finds her in Rose's bookshop. I loved this couple and story. We had the mystery of who is causing trouble in the city. Our couple had great chemistry. I loved that their mating strengthened both of them and their powers. And we end on a happy note for this couple. We definitely have some unanswered questions that will hopefully resolve as the series continues. I can't wait for Charlotte's story next.

Elowen and Rudy
Action packed, whimsical, mystery, many supernaturals, prejudices, fated mates, danger, drama, intriguing, and happily-ever-mated.
Elowen's aunt dissappears. She meets Rudy, wolf shifter. In a climate that disapproves of interspecies bonding, a wolf and a witch pairing I'd frowned upon. It'll take Rudy to stable her magic and help release the captured witches, including her aunt, and stop an evil entity enter this world.

What a great book. Elowen has returned home after college to try and find out where her aunt has disappeared to. In her aunt's shop she finds Rudy, a wolf shifter PI. While they investigate disappearances and blood magic they discover they are mates. This is a story of dark magic, finding love, hidden tension and hope for the future, a real page-turner.

This was a fun and engaging series opener that has action, mystery, dark magic, intrigue and romance. Elowen, a witch with unsteady control, is back in town to search for her missing aunt. Rudy, a wolf shifter, is also looking for her aunt and they team up...only to find they're fated mates ;) I enjoyed how their skills worked together so well and also how their mating helped with everything. This was a page turner for me and I'm looking forward to more books set in this world :D

This is a short story. This is Elowen and Rudy’s story. Her Aunt Rose has disappeared, can she find her? When she meets Rudy feelings come forth, but it is not looked good on for wolf and witches to mate. What are happening to the wolves and witches? Can they figure it out? Can they stop this blood magic?.

Cali Mann is a new author to me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to admit that I enjoyed this story! I love the magic, the small-town culture that embraces all magical creatures (even if they aren't all friends at the moment), and the bond between a witch and a wolf shifter! I've invested now and can't wait to read future books in this series.

Quick Romance Leads to Massive Confrontation

Rudy and El are forced together almost from page 1. Forced partnership leads quickly to being mated and trying to grow together. All of this is a backdrop for the battle involving corruption based on blood magic. The character development is well done and the world view is clearly drawn as the narrative proceeds. You quickly get invested in the core couple and their battle against bigotry.

There is a whole lot of mystery, action and plot packed into this compact story. As this is a quick read, it does skim past some details but it is an enjoyable story. It seems there is an overarching storyline that might continue, plus other interconnected books.

Elowen had to go back home because her aunt disappeared and is trying to save the magic bookstore for her aunt. Had to ask Rudy for help, he finally did but he hated witches. They worked get together solving the mystery.

I enjoyed this short read. The story was a mystery and had several twists. But it seemed lacking in the flow of the story. I liked the characters well enough. You don't get the whole story of either of them. They did not fight the mateing pull when it hit them and they did embrace that part. The mystery of the ritual was not full explained and I guess this book had an hea but with so many questions not answered those must in forth coming books. I did enjoy the read I would have liked more answers and a better flow to the story.
