The ‘Sword of Vengeance’ slashes into his own new series, Solomom The Serpent Ring. Kane battles from the Barbery Coast; across Southern Europe, to the canals of Venice, as a band of rogues forms around him in their quest for the fabled Serpent Ring of Set!

Continuing with an interesting tale and art, I'm hoping the infiltrating tactics of serpents and man's greed shows up more than just in the Christian denomination/orders of knights, as the story goes. I could have used more Solomon action but the array of characters are intriguing to witness.
A gripping next chapter, Solomon Kane: The Serpent’s Ring #2 brings clarity and momentum to Kane’s globe-spanning quest. The story shifts from the Barbary Coast into Southern Europe and deep into Africa, as Kane’s ragtag group races toward the legendary Serpent Ring of Set. This issue tightens the narrative focus, weaving together threads introduced earlier and raising the stakes with each turn of the page.
The tone is bold and cinematic: Kane forms uneasy alliances with Abramo, Diamanta, a charming rogue named Nico Cassani, and the morally ambiguous Rolando Zarza—each bringing distinct personality and tension to the ensemble. Dialogue-heavy at times, the story still crackles with swashbuckling energy and purposeful direction.
The African stretch—through flooded Jesuit missions, upriver to the Kingdom of Ndongo, and into flinty forts on the Gold Coast—adds historical richness and new environments to challenge the characters physically, culturally, and spiritually.
Patrick Zircher’s art continues to impress. Each landscape—from dense riverside jungles to fortified coastlines—supports the narrative scope and emotional beats with cinematic precision. The visuals elevate both character and atmosphere in a way that feels both grounded and mythic.
If you’re hooked on historical adventure, layered character dynamics, and a quest that races across continents toward something ominous and powerful, don’t miss this issue. It sharpens the story and sets the bar even higher for what comes next.
Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring #2, "Deliver Us Into Evil"
Zircher's Solomon Kane tale continues with Kane getting roped into joining an expedition alongside the Venetian mystic and scholar Abramo Bensaid and his daughter. This issue is a bit of a set up where some needed exposition is laid to set the stakes of the journey. It's light on action and heavy on sitting in rooms and talking, but likely needed to set up the remaining issues of the miniseries.
