Fake a Chance on Me, book 3 of the Snowbell Ridge series, is such a cute, spicy, fake relationship novella, and I loved this one! I’ve loved all the characters in this series, and I am so excited to have finally gotten Jill and Gray’s story.
They’re coworkers. He’s her boss. A mature, clean-cut business man on the outside, with the sexy dom nature on the inside 😮💨
Grayson is seriously the definition of book boyfriend material, cause the way this man is absolutely obsessed with Jill, greenest of green flags, in love quietly for years .. give this man an award!! And please when he stands up to James for Jill … I combusted 🫠😮💨🙂↔️
Definitely give this one a go, if you’re one for small town romances with a down bad, dirty-talking MMC wrapped up like a golden retriever.
Thanks to Hannah for an advanced readers copy of this read, in exchange for my honest review.
Well wasn’t this just the perfect spicy nugget of goodness that I needed.
This one was quick, it was fun and it was hot, hot hot.
Grayson and Jill had so much chemistry together and getting his POV and to see how down bad he was for this woman, it made me giddy.
And these two, when I saw they were hot, I mean literal flames. They had me burning up. I didn’t expect the filth from this man but sign me up for more please.

I love Hannah’s novellas (or anything she writes really) because it’s such a good blend of heat and heart. Jill and Grayson had such a cute connection and I was rooting for them the whole time.
I’ve loved the Snowbell Ridge Series so if you need something that quick, cute and will melt you into a puddle, well you found your next read!
A Hannah Cowan novella with allllll the kinks!? Please. This was short, sweet and hella spicy and I loved every moment of it! I read this in an hour.
Grayson and Jill were perfect. He was down so bad for her and jumped at the chance to be her fake boyfriend for her sister's wedding. Oh and don't forget the "shall we just practice..." STICK A FORK IN ME! loved them!
Also loved the wee connection to Cherry Peak, too! (Grayson is Delany's sister - Cherry Peak #5!)
Fake a Chance on Me was a short, sexy and hot as hell novella.
When Jillian needed a date to attend her sister's wedding, Grayson- Jillian's friend and boss swooped in to be her fake boyfriend. While Jillian only saw Grayson as her friend, Grayson has been pinning for her for 3 years so this was his shot at trying to make her see that he could be more for her.
Grayson had such a dirty mouth and a dom kink while looking like a sexy librarian with his glasses.

“You’re actually really sure about this?” It explodes out of me, and my chest turns as red as my dress. “Have you thought about what it actually means to pretend to be my boyfriend?” “Was there a guidebook I should have purchased, Jill? I’m afraid I haven’t done any prerequisite reading,” he teases, and shit, it always sounds so much like flirting when he talks to me like this. I laugh to cover the hitch in my breathing. “No. I just mean that I want you to be prepared for the whole pretending thing. Dating someone usually entails physical touching.” “Yes, I’m aware of that aspect in a relationship.” Grayson wasn't going to let anything come between him playing pretend boyfriend!!
I’ve always considered her tall, but standing here in front of me now, she doesn’t seem it anymore. I tower over her despite her height, but the longer I stand here, the more I wish I were on my knees looking up. Worshipping at the altar of a woman so beautiful it almost hurts to look at her in this proximity. I feel unworthy, but that doesn’t stop me from keeping her right here, close enough to smell the lingering scent of her perfume mixed with sweat and me.
This was such a quick and SPICY novella! Jill winds up needing a date to her sister’s wedding and her boss, Grayson, offers to be her fake date. Little did Jill know, Grayson has been yearning for Jill for YEARS. This man built her a wooden holder for her garbage and would drive by every week to make sure her garbage was out… TALK ABOUT A CARING AND THOUGHTFUL MAN!!! I love a man who falls first and hard and Grayson is that man.
The forced proximity, the one bed, the YEARNING - so good! This was probably one of Hannah’s spiciest books yet and the kinks were SO HOT. Highly recommend picking this one up if you’re looking for a cute novella!
Novella Small town Fake dating He falls first Forced proximity One bed Friends to lovers He’s her boss
Getting this in my inbox yesterday (even though I knew it was coming) felt like such a TREAT! I’ve loved this little series! Grayson and Jill were PERFECT! We love a man who is DOWN BAD and Grayson was exactly that!!!! I also loooove a little fake dating! A little what are the rules for this situation! Should we practice kiss so if’s not awkward later!? YES PLEASE DO!
I also love a tiny little Cherry Peak/Delaney cameo!!
I love Hannah and I love her books and like every other one this was perfection!!
This is book 3 in the Snowbell Ridge series; we follow Grayson and Jill. Grayson has been obsessed with Jill for years but has been hanging out in the friend zone because he’s not sure if she feels the same way. It also doesn’t help that he’s her boss. When Jill needs a fake boyfriend to accompany her to her sister’s wedding, Grayson quickly nominates himself for the job, knowing he’ll be able to spend a lot of alone with her. What starts as “practice” affection (so they can fool her family), soon turns into something real. Grayson is so sweet, but also extremely dominating in the bedroom. There is also a scene of him standing up to Jill’s ex-boyfriend and it was seriously hot. Jill is a bit reserved at the beginning, but she realizes that all the nice things Grayson has done for her over the years are not just because they are friends and maybe she’s had the same feelings but just didn’t know what they meant. I really enjoyed this series.
The third and final Snowbell Ridge novella, I ate this one up in an evening and loved it so much.
These novellas are SPICY, I'm fanning myself as I read them they're so hot, and I'm totally here for it. Grayson even has sl*tty little glasses in this one, and that just made me love him more. He is completey gone for Jill, I mean the man is obsessed and pining and I loved it so much.
A touch insta-love-y because the length of the book makes it hard not to be, but in this case all is forgiven because this was hot and swoony and so delicious. A fun, quick, lighthearted read, definitely add this one to your tbr!
Thank you to Hannah Cowan for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
I'm so sad to see the Snowbell Ridge Novella series come to an end... but omg, Hannah knocked it out of the park with this one. From spice to feels.. I was hooked from page one. With it only being 130ish pages, I ate it up in one sitting.
Someone call the fire department because I am burning up over Grayson and his slutty lil glasses. Oh my goodness. It's been 3 years of him pinning after Jill, and when the opportunity to be her fake date to her sisters wedding, he jumps at the chance to offer.
This was kind of an instalove kind of vibe, which isn't usually my favorite at all.. But with these two... hello!!
what a fun, spicy novella with the infamous one bed trope🤭
Do yourself a favor and add this novella to your TBR, as well as the other 2 if you havent read them yet!
The third and final book in the Snowbell Ridge series is here! Grayson and Jill are here!🩵
Tropes: - Fake Dating - Forced Proximity - Small Town - One Bed - Workplace Romance - He falls first
Grayson has been quietly yearning for Jill since the moment she entered his workplace. As her boss, he’s been waiting for the right moment to swoop her off her feet. The perfect opportunity presents itself when Jill needs a fake boyfriend to attend her sister’s wedding and Grayson, being the perfect boss, of course volunteers himself 🤭
There is nothing I love more than a man whose down bad and let me tell you Hannah delivered with Grayson! The yearning was chef’s kiss and this man had a hidden spicy side that was delicious 🫦
This was the perfect ending to the series. Seeing Ivy and Niko again and getting the connection to the Cherry Peak series tied it all up amazingly! 🫶
If you’re looking for a hot, swoony novella, I definitely suggest reading this one! It’s fun, quick and you’re bound to have a good time reading it!
If you want the let, spicy novella you can read in one sitting- this is for you! I instantly fell in love with Grayson and Jill. Grayson is broody and quiet and has been pining for Jill for several years. Grayson is Jill’s boss and he’s been waiting for the perfect opportunity for her to see him as more than that. Jill is headed to her sister’s wedding and she needs a fake boyfriend so her mom will quit trying to meddle in her love life. Grayson is quick to volunteer and sees this as his chance for more with Jill. This man is so down bad for Jill! The yearning was perfection! I was fanning myself during this spicy novella! I also loved the connection to Cherry Peak and it was amazing to see Ivy and Nico again! It was the perfect ending to the Snowbell Ridge series.

***ARC REVIEW** Hannah has such a talent for delivering romance novellas that are equal parts sweet, charming, and deliciously spicy. This one was short, sizzling, and absolutely delightful. I loved every second of it! Jill and Grayson were everything together. Every moment carried that perfect mix of tension and simmering heat. Grayson was completely down bad and that mouth of his whew!
Overall, this novella was so fun and packed with swoon worthy moments, irresistible chemistry, and spice that truly delivers. Returning to Snowbell Ridge was a joy, and I loved the connection to Cherry Peak.
3.75⭐️ Grayson is a walking green flag, even in a novella that’s basically 50%spice. He’s thoughtful, respectful, and manages to be a total gentleman while also being...🔥🔥🔥 behind closed doors or not closed doors.😉
Jills mother invites her gaslighting ex to her sisters wedding, so Jill’s boss, Grayson, "volunteers" to play the fake boyfriend. He’s been pining for her for three years, so when they’re forced to "practice" being a couple to sell the ruse, the tension finally snaps. It’s a quick, high heat Christmas read that proves you don't need red flags to be steamy. If you want a hero who is actually decent but turns into a dominating sex god 🤪then let me introduce you to Grayson.
This book, I swear, just might get me out of my reading slump 😭📚 I literally read it in one sitting — and if you know me, I am not a fast reader 😂 But the writing was sooo good I couldn’t stop. Now I feel like I need to go back and read all the other books because WOW.
The whole boss–and-employee dynamic (but they’re also friends outside of work!! Which I love a friends to lovers trope) overall was such a fun vibe 😌💗 Honestly just a sweet, light, feel-good time. Highly recommend!
A short sweet and SPICYYYY novella is always a way to my heart!!
Jill and Grayson were perfect. To have a man down bad from the first word who wears slutty glasses.. yes please!!!
Grayson YEARNSSS and I mean YEARNS for our girl and out girl doesn’t want you admit to her jealousy of her fake boyfriend (aka her boss) at her sisters wedding.
I loved everything. The kinks, the tropes, and the connection to Cherry Peak!!!
Hannah’s novellas scratches my brain in just the right way that makes me love each one she releases.
i’m convinced that Hannah sat down to write this novella with “bring back men who yearn” on her mind!!! this was a spicy good fake dating time that i devoured in one sitting. Hannah never fails to write down bad men and Grayson was yet another one of them. and his sl*tty glasses??? don’t even get me started!
chef’s kiss! no further notes! highly recommend this entire spicy novella series 😮💨
This was fine. I truly don't have much to say about it because this story was entirely forgettable. I don't want to be overly rude, but there was just nothing here that was different or more special than 100 other books with the same tropes.
It wasn't a bad read and I do so love when a MMC stands up to an FMC's horrible family member, but it's also skippable. I wouldn't rush to add it to your TBR anytime soon. Unless you just need a quick novella to add to your Goodreads reading goal - in that case this is a decent choice!
Fake a Chance on Me was the perfect conclusion to the Snowbell Ridge series.
Jill and Grayson have been within each other’s orbits for years and yet nothing has ever happened. Until Jill needs a date to her sister’s wedding and Grayson is definitely just trying to be the good guy and help out right?
Watching these two finally get their happily ever after was *chefs kiss*. You can literally feel the yearning from Grayson. This man has been down bad for Jill for years, but never overstepped. He showed up for her regardless of what was going on. He never did any of it with the expectations that she would owe him or that he deserved her. He did it because he cared and wanted to do it for her.
Jill my sweet oblivious and completely in denial girl. She fully believes that Grayson could only ever see her as a friend. But watching her come to the realization that Grayson does in fact have feelings for her felt honest to her character. Seeing her finally give into her own feelings was wonderful and so much fun to see. She deserves to be loved the way that Grayson was loving her, even if she may not have realized what was happening.
The chemistry these two have is something else. They balance each other out and honestly had me giggling and kicking my feet. Grayson’s patience and overall care for Jill is what so many girls want. We never want to feel pressured or that we owe someone. We want to feel like our friendship meant something to them beyond them trying to sleep with us. Cowan does a great job in making their friendship the focal point and that it was genuine growth of feelings on both sides that contributed to the relationship. There were no lingering holdovers or “I owe yous”. It was real and honest.
And sometimes ruining the friendship can be scary but wow does it work when it works.
If you love a quick, spicy, low-drama romance with all the swoon and all the tension, Fake a Chance on Me is exactly the novella you want. Hannah Cowan gives us a delicious mix of workplace chemistry, secret pining, and fake dating that turns real so fast your heart won’t stand a chance.
Jill only needs one thing: a date to her sister’s wedding—someone reliable, safe, and not her ex. Grayson Pierce, her boss and the human definition of tall-dark-and-handsome, is the obvious choice. Dependable? Yes. Respectful?
Absolutely. Hot enough to make her forget her own name? Unfortunately, yes. What’s supposed to be a harmless fake dating setup quickly slides into dangerous territory—the kind where stolen glances start feeling like promises, where pretend touches linger too long, and where the lines between “acting” and “wanting” blur until there’s no difference at all.
Because Grayson has never looked at Jill like any of this is fake. And once she notices… there’s no going back.
High heat, low angst, cozy setting, and the perfect amount of tension—this Snowbell Ridge novella is pure romance comfort food with a deliciously spicy twist. 🔥❄️
Tropes: ❄️Fake dating ❄️Friends to lovers ❄️Boss/employee dynamic ❄️Small town, festive vibes
