Life Is Like a Football Game

Rate this book
The plan of salvation may be one of the most difficult topics to get youth to listen to and understand- -but not anymore! Using enough humor to keep you rolling with laughter and an energy level capable of lighting up New York City, Troy Dunn tackles this topic and wins! Troy shows how some gospel principles are easier to understand when viewed through the eyes of a football player. He will walk you step by step from the locker room to the field and finally to the homecoming party. If you want to experience how exciting the gospel can really be, take an hour to discover why life is a game of football!

This was a good one applying life to a football game. I can recall listening to some of it while doing laundry. I loved the chapter, "The Last Ones in The Locker Room", referring to those of us who have been sent here in the last days. Having waited until the VERY END of the game to finally get in and how excited we were to FINALLY get in.
I also loved his chapter on "Blocking for Each Other" in this game we call life.

Yes, this is actually a talk that was converted to an audiobook. Yes, it seems to be aimed at teenagers. Yes, it is a simple analogy. But you know what? Whether you're 15 or 50, it's really good stuff.

I don't like football one bit, but I loved how he related football to spiritual things. My husband and my boys got it!

This as well as Wilcox's "Seeing as God Sees" and Craig's "It's not the dress..."

12/11 liked the other 2 talks. Didn't listen to this one. Her dad and I convinced her to try this one out. Other two returned.

1/22/10 Liked it. Keep for a few more weeks (probably until other talks can be obtained)

AWESOME!!! This has been a favorite of mine since High School. You don't even have to be a crazy football fan (GO STEELERS!) to enjoy this :). Great motivational speaker, very entertaining! LOVED IT
