ROMANCING MY LOVE is a USA TODAY Bestseller

After months of caring for her terminally ill mother, Rebecca Rivera is left all alone in a world she doesn’t trust—but she’s determined not to let her mother’s death define her. Losing her job, having to pummel some jerk for being too handsy, and living in her car are just temporary setbacks to an otherwise solid plan in finding her footing. Full of pride and used to being in control of her life, she’s certain she can make it on her own. The last thing Rebecca needs is a man to fix her troubles—even if that man is strikingly handsome, wealthy, and charismatic Pierce Braden.

Pierce is a powerful real estate investor on the verge of a major acquisition. As the eldest of six siblings raised by a single mother, he’s spent his life protecting those he loves. He’s used to being in charge and making things right, and although he’d give his life for his family, he treats the women he dates as expendable—until he meets sexy and stubborn Rebecca Rivera, a woman who is as strong as she is vulnerable.

Passion ignites between them, and the two share their most intimate thoughts and desires. It doesn’t take long for Pierce to realize that Rebecca is as determined not to be saved as he is to find a way into her heart. As their love grows, Rebecca must face fears she didn’t even realize she had—and Pierce must learn the hard truth that sometimes less really is more. Is the power of true love enough for Rebecca and Pierce to learn to give up control and allow their hearts to take over?

This was really good! I have been slowly working my way through Melissa Foster’s backlist and was excited to pick this one up. This book is a part of several different series but it works well as a stand-alone since the focus is on Rebecca and Pierce’s romance. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop.

I really liked Rebecca and Pierce. Rebecca is going through a tough time when she meets Pierce but she hasn’t given up. Pierce is a wealthy business owner who is drawn to Rebecca as soon as he sees her. He has no idea that she is currently living in her car after losing everything after her mother’s death. Rebecca is proud and wants to take care of things on her own so Pierce has to work hard to step back at times. I thought that they had fantastic chemistry together and their personalities seemed to match up well. I didn’t see the big obstacle that they had to overcome as any big deal but that didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment of the story.

B.J. Harrison does a fantastic job with the narration of this book. I like the voices that he uses for both the male and female characters and I love that he is able to add just the right amount of emotion into his reading. I think that he has a very pleasant voice and believe that his narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I thought that this was a very well-done romance with characters that were easy to love. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author’s work.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist.

Audiobook: Narrator - B.J. Harrison

An excellent narration by Mr. Harrison. He did an exceptional job of both the male and female characters. A small part had an accent and I thought he did a great job of that although I have struggled with one of his accents in a previous book. Guess it’s all in what type of accent.

This was such a sweet, although plenty steamy, story of a couple that captured my heart right from the start. Rebecca was so determined and I have to admit, there was a time or two I had to grit my teeth at her. Pierce didn’t quite know what to do with a woman like her. But it didn’t take him long to figure out he didn’t want to let her go.

I felt deeply connected to these characters and loved seeing them with the secondary characters as they each waded through not only their relationship but what life was throwing at them. The drama is low with it revolving around what they were dealing with between themselves. This story absolutely sizzles as this couple moves from casual to more and I loved the love between them.

Romancing My Love is one of my favorite books by this author. Casino owner Pierce Braden still has a small town guy feel. He isn’t one to be throwing his money around and acting like the important rich guy.

Rebecca Rivera is a strong heroine who doesn’t go around whining about her lot even though she has had a lot of hardships to endure. Her biggest fault is she gets so much into doing everything for herself she can’t let anyone help her. Her pride and stubbornness trips her up at every turn.

I loved listening to this audiobook on my commute. The excellent narration really added to the story and kept me interested and entertained.

What happens when a take charge, alpha kind of guy and a woman who is hanging on by a thread, but determined to do things her way meet, clash and keep secrets from each other, all while growing nearer and nearer both physically and emotionally? Is it possible to truly care for someone you will not trust with your inner secrets? Is it fair to prejudge others based on your specific criteria? As hard as the handsome and wealthy Pierce Braden tried to be supportive and caring to Rebecca Rivera, she found fault, felt threatened or being pitied. Rebecca has judged the world and found it lacking in all ways after years of caring for her dying mother, while putting her own life on hold. Can Pierce break through Rebecca’s barriers and open her eyes to the real world around her? Is it worth the pain? The trouble? The uphill battle?

Romancing My Love by Melissa Foster is filled with doubt, mistrust and the need for love. Her characters are slightly different than most romance characters. Rebecca is damaged, her life has had some ups and recently, many downs, but her ego and pride and need to “keep up appearances” of being in control and independent goes a little too far into a selfish need to prove to the world, including herself that she is” woman-hear her roar”. Pierce goes beyond book boyfriend with his patience and need to understand Rebecca and give her all of the space she needs. With a cast of “in the background” characters, the spotlight is definitely on the actions and interactions between this couple. With hot and explicit sexual tension, Melissa Foster does bring home another quick read with her signature style of writing!

Tiffany's Review:

So I have been loving me some Braden's for a while now! I have lost count on how many of these Love in Bloom Series books I have read! I have really enjoyed all of them but this one may be my favorite! I didn't think anyone could replace my feelings for Treat but Pierce sure gave him a run for his money:) Rebecca has had to spend a few nights in her car because she has no place to go after losing her mother. Her future is about to change! When her paths crosses Pierce Braden she is not ready to trust and love someone but she can't help but fall for him! Their relationship moves fast and Rebecca has to face her fears of losing someone she loves. This is a HOT one!!! Rebecca and Pierce have some great chemistry! What will happen if Pierce finds out about Rebecca being homeless?! Can Rebecca allow herself to love?! I give this one 5 stars!

Audio Review: Romancing My Love (The Bradens at Trusty #3; The Bradens #9; Love in Bloom #18) by Melissa Foster (Author), B.J. Harrison (Narrator)

Her story becomes his revelation.  Romancing My Love in audio surprised me. With the addition B.J. Harrison as narrator, the story takes an interesting turn. Pierce takes on more of a central role. His feelings become a living testament to his heart. My emotions were all over the place. Foster chose well with Harrison.

Sooo boring. I skimmed past most of the pages.

I LOVE and strong heroine and a supportive hero. But Becca was super annoying in her stubbornness and I got super tired of listening to Pierce say how he didn’t pity her that she’s this that and the other just for her to go “meh”.

Hard pass on any of the rest of the brothers.

Whenever Melissa Foster starts writing about the Bradens I just sigh. Every single one of the Braden men are steamy hot, respectful, and loving. Pierce is no exception. Not only is he incredibly rich, but he is modest. He knows that he has money and can buy pretty much everything, but he does not brag or throw it in Rebecca’s face. He wants to use it to make her life better, yet understands that she needs to be strong for herself. The love he has for Rebecca shows what a great guy he truly is. He is the type of guy every mom wants for her daughter and that every woman dreams of meeting.

Rebecca is strong; so incredibly strong that I was in awe of her. Not only did she take care of her mom and give up her own life, she did so while dealing with not having any money and knowing that her mother would not live. I loved how she turned Pierce down for his request for a date at first and then finally gave in after her pursued her a little longer. I also loved how she knew she could open her heart to him and let him into her life and her heart. She shared things with him that she had never shared before and knew that he would treasure her secrets and keep them safe.

Everyone dreams of finding a love like Rebecca and Pierce. Romancing My Love is the perfect story to open your heart and let true love in. Of course, I recommend this entire series and this book to every romance lover.

Pierce Braden is a nephew of Hal (the patriarch of the Braden family) and the eldest of the Trusty Bradens. In a bar one night, he meets Rebecca. She turns him down, and he’s not used to that.
But he does talk her into spending some time with him and later when she gets a job at the casino he just happens to own, he can see as much of her as he likes.
***
It fits the usual formula: these guys are all players until they find The One, effortlessly wealthy, hugely successful within their chosen career, physically impressive, well endowed, never taken a girl to their home before, etc.
Six weeks ago Rebecca’s mother died after a long illness and she’s got so many bills to pay that she’s homeless; living in her car, and showering at the gym.
She thinks Pierce works in the executive office. [really? He’s a big name in town. She ought to know him. And everyone at the casino defers to him and knows his name] and she hides from him that she was sleeping in her car.
***
Hmmm… I’m not sure that I get why he likes her. I’m just not feeling it.
[If she’s American her biggest issue will surely be medical bills and college fees?]
The conflict comes when she flips out about an issue that is all in her head. It feels rather weak.
It seems to tell them apart each guy in this family has a different tattoo. Luke has barbed wire around his arm. Pierce has a dragon on his shoulder. Ross has a palm tree.
Hints are dropped about Emily heading off to Tuscany and Jake still being hung up on his old HS sweetheart.
The ending was just a little too saccharine for me.

I love love love Rebecca! She is a strong woman who I think many people can relate to. Everyone struggles in their lives, some more than others, but Rebecca makes you think it will be okay. Another thing I absolutely loved was the setting. Reno, NV is a place in my own home state. A place I've actually been to a few times (and am visiting again next month).

This book varies a little from most of Melissa Foster's other's in the Braden series. Family still plays an important role, but the steamy hot scenes are fewer. She focuses more on the building of an awesome relationship, which I think is a super important aspect of a lasting love.

DNF 9%.

i don't mind insta-lust but it has to feel genuine and like the people are attracted to each other based on a bit more than looks; like it's the connection between them that draws them in. the attraction between them seems shallow, unfortunately. the H keeps thinking how beautiful she is, and how clever she is (when? we don't actually see any signs of cleverness), and it seems SO forced.
the h seems both mature and reflective while at the same time having no clue about social cues when on a (unofficial) date with a man. she was guarded to the point where it seemed neurotic, and made it feel even more fake that the H was so captivated by her.

Boy falls for girl. Girl falls for boy. All that happens within maybe first two or three chapters and after that the book simply goes on.

Romancing My Love (Love in Bloom Book #18) by Melissa Foster.
The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through.
Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful.
The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections.
While each novel can be read as a standalone, there is an interconnectedness with the recurring characters and overlapping storylines - which help create a sense of community that feels warm and inviting. It’s like being welcomed into a big, loving family where everyone has a worthwhile story to tell.
‘Within the Love in Bloom big-family romance collection you'll find fiercely loyal heroes and smart, empowered women on their search for true love. They're flawed, funny, and easy to relate to. Characters from each series appear in future Love in Bloom books…’
If you are a fan of contemporary romance or simply looking for a feel-good series to escape into, this series is a worthwhile binge read…

Romancing My Love the third book in the Bradens of Trusty series is a little heavier and less fluffy than the first two books. Pierce is the oldest of the Braden siblings and extremely wealthy owning casinos all over the world. Rebecca's back story is just crushing. She was raised by a single mom and has dropped out of college two credits short of finishing her degree to spend the past 3 years caring for her terminally ill mother. Rebecca finds herself, homeless, living in her car parked in the parking garage of one of Wes's Reno casinos. She's just quit her job bartending and is beating the snot out of a drunken patron intent on sexually assaulting her when Wes sees her and immediately rushes to help her. Except Rebecca doesn't want Wes's help. Rebecca's pride, her fierce independence and inability to accept anyone's help to the point of ridiculousness is as much as their romance the focal point of this story. While I truly enjoyed this story there were a couple of things in it I had a hard time buying into. The first was how easily Rebecca accepted and shrugged of the reality that Pierce was not only extremely wealthy but the owner of the casino she has just found a job working at as a waitress and the idea that it shouldn't affect their relationship. The second was that even after Rebecca has resolved some of her issues, their coupledom is secure, and Wes has discovered her knack for business he doesn't immediately offer her a job in the business end. Is Rebecca still so proud and stubborn that she insists she continue working as a waitress while she saves money to finish her degree and then maybe she'll accept an opportunity to work in the business side of the casino? A lot of this story involves Rebecca's need for independence and Pierce's need to overcome his need to fix everything and respect that to the point that as a man I found it really frustrating. I was sort of hoping that at some point perhaps another older wiser woman like her friend Daphne would advise Rebecca that she had to let Pierce be a man if she wanted to keep him because it is in a man's nature to want to protect and provide for the woman they love and her constant refusals of his help was emasculating him. At least finally before the story is over Pierce confronts this issue and insists on a reasonable compromise. All in all this was a great story. Loved Rebecca, the secondary characters of Daphne and her husband Henry and of course Pierce's family whom although they're back in Trusty still make appearances in this story as do his cousin Treat and his wife Max.

Rags to riches

Rebecca has not had an easy life, but the last 3 years have been so hard. Her mom was her best friend, then she got cancer. Forced to take a break from college to take care of her mom. Trying to keep a job and be there for her mom is so hard. Knowing her mom was not going to make it and didn't want to leave her with a ton of debt, they stayed at home. But with the demands of caring for someone so sick, she wasn't able to pay the rent for the last few months. The landlord knew them well after years of living there, he let them stay but Rebecca was to proud. After her mom died and she gave herself a few weeks to mourn she packed her car up, leaving furniture for the landlord to sell to help pay for the rent. She got a bartender job and hoped to find a new place to live soon.

Pierce was the oldest of the Braden kids, wild hardworking and loyal to his family. When he was only six years old his dad left, and he decided he had to be the man of the house. Even when his mother tried to stop him, he was there for all his siblings and his mom too. Now he is a business owner, he has many casinos and restaurants but his personal life is missing something. After seeing his younger brother find the love of his life, he is wondering if he is missing something. He is known around town as a ladies man and hasn't had a girlfriend in years.

They meet at a bar in a bad part of town. Rebecca is having a really bad night, her boss is such a jerk. After being yelled at by her boss and getting so fed up with his bullshit , she yells right back and quits her job. A job she really needed to get her life back in order. On the way out of the bar some drunk man gets in her way, getting way to hands-on, she knees him in the groin and punches him in the face. Pierce sees the damsel in distress and tries to help. He pulls her away and out the front door. She is not happy to have another man touch her and backs away from him. She starts walking away but he wants to see if he can help. He offers to call her a cab or give her a ride but she wants none of it. He watches her walk towards the parking garage and hopes the beautiful woman will be ok. The next day he sees her again and wants to get to know her. He convinces her to take a walk in the park with him, spending hours talking. They come from such different worlds but can they find common ground? They are both drawn to each other and after just one kiss the sparks are flying.

Two strong people struggling to accept love.......

Romancing My Love is part of the overall Love in Bloom Series by Melissa Foster, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Of all the books in this series that I have read this far, this one had the least amount of interaction between characters from previous books. However, I still felt the usual sense of love and importance of family that is the underlying theme of all Melissa Foster books. In Romancing My Love, we have two completely stubborn, independent people used to caring for others at the expense of themselves. Rebecca gave up her job, her apartment and pretty much her entire life for 10 months to nurse her mother while she died of cancer. Pierce Braden is a millionaire resort owner and the oldest in his family, used to taking care of his younger siblings from a young age. Although Rebecca has lost everything and is living in her car when she meets Pierce, she has a fierce spirit and is determination to succeed without any outside help. From the minute he meets her, all Pierce longs to do is wrap her in the safety of his arms and make all her problems disappear. You can see the problem with them falling in love.

Luckily, with her usual grace and style, Melissa Foster allows Pierce to slowly open Rebecca's mind to the possibility of accepting his love, and he learns to understand that her independence doesn't mean that she doesn't need and love him. I enjoyed watching the push and pull between Rebecca and Pierce, and I was worried several times that they wouldn't overcome their differences, but that just made me cherish their HEA even more. The heat level in the story is high, and Foster writes her intimate scenes with the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. The entire Braden crew arrives towards the end of the book, and it was their welcoming love towards her that sealed the deal for Rebecca and Pierce. I am, as always, anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

As much as you can depend on Melissa Foster to deliver a wonderful story, you can equally depend on an enchanting narration by BJ Harrison. He narrates most of the books in this series, and he has truly become the voice of the Braden Family for me. His delivery is smooth, his performance is flawless, and his portrayal of the emotions of the story is heartfelt. The combination of Harrison and Foster is a guaranteed hit.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Romancing My Love
By: Melissa Foster
Narrated by: B.J. Harrison
Series: The Bradens at Trusty, Book 3, Love in Bloom, Book 18

The third book in the Trusty series has me wanting to visit the town over and over again. The Braden family creates such a warmth wherever they are, it's addicting! Romancing My Love features Pierce and Rebecca. The two meet under the most crazy of circumstances and Pierce is taken with her immediately. Rebecca is in tough situation, with the death of her mother, she finds herself in debt and homeless. Determined to pull herself out, she is starting a new job in the same building as Pierce. Little does she know he is the owner of the resort! These two are polar opposites. She super independent does not want to be coddled. Pierce's nature is to fix and take care of. Will these two find the happy medium? Once again, Melissa Foster has pulled me in and had me fall in love. Rebecca is vulnerable, yet her independent streak keeps her on task. She can't control her heart though! Pierce is wonderful. Yes, at times a little overbearing, he means well and is a protector with a huge heart. The Braden family is warm and the sibling banter is hysterical. I loved the couple that Rebecca lives with too, showing that there are good people there to help. Foster continues to write about relevant issues and I love how she incorporates it into her stories bringing awareness to us. A good story to enjoy as well as fall in love with. Can't wait til the next one!

BJ Harrison continues his fabulous narrations of this family. His easy pace and warm voices are the Bradens and I wouldn't want it any other way. He again entertained me for hours and made for an enjoyable listen.

I'm in a terrible book slump and nothing's really catching my eye these days. I'm now planning to catch up on all the free boxsets I downloaded from all those newsletters and bookfunnel links.

Romancing My Love is a part of The Billionaire Boxset (Not sure where I found it). It is a Contemporary Romance with a big happy family, billionaire alpha male, office romance tropes.

My review:

It's been a while since I've read a book that's focused majorly on the romantic development between the main characters. I've been reading Dark, Angsty, and Bully romances for the past year. So reading a light-hearted, relationship-focused plot took me some time to adjust. The book is also in the third POV and I'm so used to the first POVs!

It was a refreshing read! Rebecca and Pierce are used to getting their own way, both of them have some past issues they need to overcome. It is kinda insta-love/insta-attraction with how quickly they get together.

Throughout the book, they share their lives, thoughts, eventually learn how to compromise. Rebecca finds love and a family she's been longing for after everything she goes through. Pierce finally finds the person he can visualize his future with.

Loved it!

Pierce and Rebecca are one of my favorites of the Trusty Braden's. They are the perfect couple and leave me wanting more of them.

Pierce is a resort and casino owner who lives in Reno and has enjoyed having women at his beck and call. That is until he meets Rebecca. Rebecca has just lost her mom and now her job after taking care of a guy who gets too handsy with her. Pierce witnesses this and becomes enthralled with her and gives her the nickname Rhonda Rousey.

Rebecca winds up living in her car for a few days until she gets a job as a waitress in a restaurant in one of Pierce's Casino's. She hides that she is homeless while trying to move on and start over. Pierce helps her move on after having lost her mom and wants nothing more than to help Rebecca pursue her dreams and feel safe and secure.

Once again we have BJ Harrison narrating and he has become one of my favorite narrators. He really brings the story to life and makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of the story.

As the oldest of the Braden clan, Pierce has felt a need to watch out for his siblings once their father left. He has an ultra-protective nature which is juxtaposed against his alpha businessman persona. He knows what he wants and usually has no trouble getting it.

Rebecca has just lost her mother to cancer and is trying to find her footing. She is fiercely independent and shuns any kind of protective overtures. She wants to make it on her own.

Enter Pierce... and the sparks fly. They are drawn to each other like moths to a flame ... Pierce wants to ease her pain and Rebecca wants his love but not his smothering. As the book progressed, I loved watching Pierce's softer side reveal itself and I cheered for Rebecca for standing on her own.

This is a great addition to the Braden family series of books and I would recommend it without hesitation. Note... I listened to this book in the audible version.. great narration and I enjoyed the experience.

I listened to the audiobook of Romancing My Love by Melissa Foster. I love listening to audiobooks because they are so convenient. B.J Harrison is the narrator and he is great at what he does. Melissa Foster draws u into the story of Pierce Braden and Rebecca Rivera. I love Rebecca's character. She is independent and strong. Rebecca hasnt had many breaks in her life. From taking care of her terminally mother who dies, to having to quit her job and live out of her car. She hasnt had it easy. Then she goes to a bar and a guy gets a little too handsy, but she sure knows how to take care of herself. This is when we meet Pierce Braden. He sees the guy getting handsy and he was about to step in but Rebecca took care of the issue herself. Pierce feels the need to protect her. Pierce eventually gives her a job and from there the sparks fly. I was so caught up in their story that i felt i was right there with them. I love these Bradens.

Pierce and Rebecca meet during a bar fight, that Rebecca started. She is one fiesty woman and likes to stand on her own two feet.

After looking after her terminally ill mother and then losing her, she has a tough road ahead. She is trying to find a job, find a place to live other than her car, and then she runs into Pierce and her heart takes a tumble that she was not expecting.

Pierce is a very well off real estate businessman and has been known as a player. Never the same woman twice, never brought back to his home, and never really connected with anyone. But then Rebecca comes swinging into his life and all bets are off.

Pierce and Rebecca have great chemistry. It did take me awhile to warm up to Rebecca's character, she is a little wishy washy, but I do see her have some major character growth through the book, which made me like her more by the end of the book.

Another great addition to the Bradens!!

I first read this book a couple years ago upon discovering some of Melissa Foster's other books. I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook and rediscover this great story. Pierce is a typical alpha male on the surface, but with a huge caring heart underneath that big cloak of privacy and workaholic lifestyle. Rebecca is likable from the very beginning as the reader learns of some of her struggles-some that she is still working through. I tend to read very fast, and sometimes I miss little details, so I really liked taking the time to listen to the audiobook and get re-introduced to the characters. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because the premise of the story (rich guy/down on her luck girl) has been so overdone. Melissa actually does a great job developing characters that not only "fit" together, but that I wanted to get to know!

Rebecca was living in her car for a few days. Her mother was sick for a while and she was the caregiver so it made it hard to keep a job so after her mom passed she ended up in her car. A friend at the gym told about getting a job where his girlfriend works. She met Pierce the night before as she was leaving as she kneed a guy who would not leave her alone. She was working there but the owner was a jerk. Pierce pulls her out of the bar. The place that she went to apply happened to be owned by Pierce but Rebecca did not know that. She gets a job as a waitress. She is different than the women Pierce usually goes out with. Rebecca is very independent and does not care about his money. Sometimes her independence got to be annoying. They did not have as much chemistry as some of the other Braden books.

I received an audio in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Pierce and Rebecca's chemistry and how strong both characters were. They each had real issues to deal with while falling hard and fast in love.

I loved that Pierce didn't try to fight his feelings, which is refreshing, especially in a male whose never really considered settling down.

Rebecca's story, while sad and tearful, was inspiring because of her determination to move forward. She certainly had enough obstacles to overcome and you had to admire her resistance to allow Pierce to swoop in and fix things for her.

B.J.Harrison did a stellar job of narrating, bringing each character to life. My one complaint is my usual, it ended too fast!

Some books just swallow you up, Heart and Soul and Melissa brought it to us! B. J. Harrison narrated the audiobook and I can't praise him enough.
Pierce Brayden owned several casino's. Rebecca had quit her job and was looking for another. She was homeless and living out of her car. She went to Pierce's business to apply for a job, but she didn't know he owned it. He took her for a drink and got to know her better. He was really attracted to her. Before Rebecca's mother died, she told her that when she got to heaven she was going to pull all the right strings so she could have an amazing life. Rebecca took a job at his casino as a waitress. They both liked to be in control of their lives. Would they adjust? This is a must have story!

Not surprising this book was a rags to riches, hero wants to take care of heroine, save her, protect her. But I felt like it was too good to be true. I felt like Pierce didn't do his due diligence with this relationship. He fell so hard, so fast. It just didn't feel real. It felt too fairytale-ish.

The one aspect I really enjoyed was watching Rebecca take down the guy in the bar and then watching her confront her fears and what was holding her back from Pierce. She is such a strong female character, both physically and mentally. It was good to see her struggling with her concerns/fears.

This is yet another BJ Harrison narration. Pierce reminded me a lot of Treat. So many similarities between them. So it was good to see Treat in this book and to see them interact together.
