Emily Braden is a leader in architectural preservation, a pillar in her small hometown, and successful in everything she does—with the exception of finding true love. She’s watched several of her brothers fall in love, and she needs this trip to Tuscany to get away from it all and to stop focusing on what she doesn’t have.
Dae Bray doesn’t do flings, and he never stays in one place for very long. As a demolitionist, he goes where jobs take him, and the more often he travels, the better. His trip to Tuscany is all work—until he meets smart and sexy Emily, who makes him reconsider his fear of settling down, his no-fling rule—and just about everything else he’s ever believed about himself.
Passion sizzles as Dae and Emily explore the history and beauty of Tuscany. Their romance moves beyond tourist attractions to the bedroom, blossoming into a deep connection neither can deny. But their worlds collide when Emily wants to preserve the property that Dae is there to demolish. Can a woman who sees the beauty in preservation and a man whose life is spent tearing things down find a solid foundation for their love?

"What sets Melissa Foster apart are her compelling characters who you care about... desperately...I dare you to read the first chapter and not be hooked." International bestseller, M.J. Rose
"Melissa Foster is a wonderful connector of readers and books, a friend of authors, and a tireless advocate for women. She is the real deal"--Author Jennie Shortridge
I’ve enjoyed this narrator in all the previous books in this series, and while I still enjoyed him very much, I sometimes found myself unsure if something the character said was a thought or actually spoken out loud. All of Ms. Foster’s characters tend to talk to themselves in their mind and it’s never really bothered me before. For some reason, I had a hard time with it this go around. I still loved the narration as well as the book, but I did have this one minor blip.
What a wonderfully romantic story for Emily! I’ve been waiting for her for so long and I just knew something amazing was going to happen to her in Tuscany and holy heck, did it ever!
I love that this couple acted in a mature manner and that they were both careful of previous hookups to the point they were limited. The conflict this couple faces was unique while still being believable. The way they faced it and worked it out was beautiful. Dae was definitely a swoon worthy hero.
Emily Braden has always wanted to go to Tuscany, so when one of her brother's surprises her with a trip after helping him with his significant other, Emily is unable to turn down the opportunity of a life time. There she meets the sexy and charming Dae Bray and sparks fly.
The plot - I thought the plot was kind of fun. I really loved the fact that it took place in Tuscany, so it ended up being a sort of a getaway. With some of the trips that these two took, it was easy to get lost with them in their surroundings, I think it only made me wish for a little more description at times.
Dae Bray is a demolitionist, and Emily is a leader in architectural preservation, so when Emily finds out that Dae is about to destroy something called House of Wishes that's very important to the women of the town, she has a hard time with it.
The romance - If you don't mind a bit of an insta-love, very sweet type romance this book is for you. I did enjoy the romance unfolding between Emily and Dae, I thought it was cute and at times fun. I did struggle a bit with connecting and chemistry due to it being so sudden. Emily's reaction to Dae when she first sees him and the way she acts was a bit amusing, especially when she keeps mentioning that she never does it otherwise.
The premise said Dae has a hard with settling down, but with the way these two jumped into a relationship, I had a hard time seeing that.
I do like that they had hit a patch in their road and that their jobs posed a bit of a conflict for them, even thought Dae was very much upfront to Emily about what he does, so she didn't come into it blindly. But once Emily discovers that Dae is there to destroy something very important to the local women, it creates a bit of a turbulence. I had to feel sorry for Dae, it wasn't his fault, it was part of his job and I agreed... If he doesn't do it, someone else would and the property belonged to a wealthy man who didn't care, so why take the anger out of Dae?
The writing - Melissa Foster definitely knows how to create different very interesting characters and make opposite attract. The plot was well done too and I loved the setting of Tuscany that took us on a small little adventure. Foster knows how to weave an engaging story!
Not sure what to say about this one. Don't let my opinion dissuade you; Foster's books are quite good. Felt like it dragged through the first half, but maybe I just wasn't in the right headspace? The emotional growth of the characters was phenomenal, however.
I dare you to read a paragraph of this book and not be hooked. I love the way Melissa writes with such emotion and passion, This is a book with a fantastic story, very hot characters and steamy love scenes. Even though this book is part of a series I like the fact you can read it as a standalone but believe me once you have read one of Melissa's books you will want to read all of the others. Look forward to the next book.
Dutiful daughter, trusted friend, loyal sister and obvious romantic. It feels like I've been waiting forever for Emily Braden to find her Prince Charming. Surprisingly, it wasn't how I thought it would be. Dreaming of Love is the story of two dreamers in desperate need of a wake up call. Foster puts Emily on a collison course with heartache in the form of Dae Bray. He's the antithesis of everything Emily believes in. Yet, the heart wants what it wants. Their path is paved with the battle scars of heartbreak and the guiding light of compromise. Out of the collateral damage comes the hope for something more. Although I enjoy listening to Mr. Harrison wax poetic, I was hoping that the audio would give two points of view, in two different voices. I got more than I ever expected, but was still hoping for a little bit more.
If you’ve been reading the Bradens at Trusty series as I have you already understand the title of the fifth book, Dreaming of Love. The first four books had Emily Braden the lone sister of the Trusty Braden clan enviously watching her brothers fall in love while she stood on the sidelines. The author Melissa Foster made it clear in those stories that while Emily was happy for her brothers she longed to find that special soulmate of her own and now at 32 living in the small town of Trusty, she was beginning to despair that it would never happen for her. Through my exposure to her character in the previous books I had come to love Emily. How could I not? Devoted sister, daughter and best friend, she was warm, open, smart and funny. I was truly looking forward to her story and watching her find her own happily ever after. I can’t say I was disappointed in Dreaming of Love. I guess surprised is a better term. Emily was such a firecracker in her brothers’ stories I expected more light hearted humor, more of her spunkiness and sharp wit than I got. While the story isn’t heavy in the sense that Pierce and Rebecca’s was with Rebecca’s mom dying of cancer and her temporarily homeless and living in her car, it was deeper than the other books in the sense of asking deeper questions about life and what it really means to love another person, how much are you willing to compromise of yourself and your beliefs. If I were a female reader I might even say it was more romantic, and not just because the setting of the story is romantic Italy? Certainly there were no lack of professions of love from Dae who did not suffer from the typical male issue of sharing his feelings. Hard to say since I’m obviously not female but I’d say based upon all the 5 star reviews on Goodreads I might be on the right track. Readers do spend an awful lot of time in Emily’s head while she sorts through her emotions and feelings and has a heart to heart with her mom. Speaking of, Catherine like her brother Hal is such a great character, it's too bad Ms. Foster never gives them a second chance at love. I think one thing the author does an excellent job of in her stories is show that being human means that we are full of mixed emotions and uncertainties in our thoughts. It is sort of interesting that the hero Dae while having the prerequisite macho required of a modern romance hero, comes across as more intuitive and more in touch with his emotions and the softer sides of life than Emily is. He teaches Emily that it’s important to sometimes slow down and focus on the here and now and the little things in life. Perhaps it’s because she has spent most of her life proving to herself and them that she can be as tough and successful as her four brothers are? In keeping the connection between all the “Love in Bloom” series Dae is the adopted brother of Leanna who is the wife of Kurt Remington (Read, Write, Love) who is the brother of Jack who is married to Savannah Braden (Bursting with Love) who is Emily’s cousin. Got all that? And in the closing chapter at Luke and Daisy’s wedding most of the Bradens of Weston make a cameo appearance. Although I don’t recall mention of Savannah and her husband Jack Remington being there which would have given Ms. Foster the opportunity to connect the dots between Dae and the Bradens for readers who haven’t read the earlier books in the series. As in most Melissa Foster books the dramatic point comes down to whether one or both protagonists are willing to sacrifice for the other. In this case it’s a question of whether Dae a demolitions expert will walk away from the job of demolishing a villa and tree that Emily sees as an important spiritual landmark for the local women. And conversely if he doesn’t walk away, can Emily still love him? I’m not going to give away the big ending but as all modern romance readers know, Emily and Dae get their happily ever after. Hooray
Thanks, Beck Valley Books for the privilege of getting to know Melissa Foster through her fantastic writing. Every time I take up one of her books I know I am in for a great romantic adventure. Dreaming of Love was no exception. This story reminded me why she is one of my favourite romance authors.
Dreaming of Love, book #19 in the Love in Bloom series tells the story of Emily Braden, the youngest member of the Braden family. She is a successful business woman, but felt that there was something missing from her life. Over the years she has watched her brothers find their soul mates. She is happy for them, but she wishes that she too would one day find such happiness. Her chance of finding this missing piece of her life came when on vacation in Tuscany she met Dae Bray. The attraction between them was instantaneous and electrifying. Dae was not sure what to make of his instant attraction to Emily but the one thing he knew is that he never felt this way about any other woman before.
They grew close in a very short time. (I believe that the romantic setting in Tuscany contributed to the whirlwind romance). Although the romantic element of the story moved quickly I found it to be credible. However, the road to true love is not without its obstacles. They are both successful in their respective careers, however, their beliefs when it came to the way buildings are to be treated were different. Emily is an architect and believes in the preservation of buildings and Dae is a demolitionist. When she discovered that he was in Tuscany to destroy a building that meant a lot to the local women she had a hard time dealing with it.
She is torn between her fundamental beliefs and her feelings for Dae. Love means meeting your partner half way and finding a common ground. It’s clear she does not view it that way. Will she allow such a simple matter to destroy the very thing she has spent her whole life searching for? Initially Dae came off as a bit overbearing, but as the story progresses it is clear that he is a sweet and caring guy. He is the type of man that most women would find appealing. It was easy to fall in love with him. He, unlike Emily was willing to look past their differences.
Overall, I enjoyed this story and I am eager to see what next Melissa Foster has in store for her fans.
There is a lot happening within the two week time-line of this story but nothing feels rushed. Against a stunning Tuscan backdrop, two people that may first appear to be poles apart with regards to their chosen careers, find a deep connection with one another.
Dae Bray loves his job as a demolitionist, which takes him to various locations around the world. Work is his sole purpose for his stay at the villa near Florence until another guest arrived – a beautiful, sexy and smart woman that intrigues him. Just a shame he doesn't do flings anymore! Emily Braden is in Tuscany to stay at a villa designed by one of her favourite architects. A workaholic and herself an architect specialising in passive-house design, she's on a much needed holiday. Relationships have always been on the back-burner especially when she has five over-protective brothers watching out for her. Her soon-to-be sister-in-law tells her Emily to have fun, but can she throw caution to the wind when the only other guest in the villa is deliciously muscled tall guy?
The relation between Dae and Emily feels convincing even though this is an instant attraction and their relationship develops at lightning speed. They both come from large families and share similar values which cements the foundations of their developing relationship. Their careers cause a conflict of interest when the building Dae has assessed for demolition is the same one that the locals call Casa Dei Desideri – the house of wishes – the old house with a huge, gnarled olive tree growing in the wall of the house. A poignant sub-plot with Adelina and Serafina adds weight to the argument for keeping the house safe as Dae learns about the local legend surrounding the property. Both he and Emily are torn apart but thankfully approach the problem regarding the house in a thoughtful, mature way, ever mindful that a wrong decision could end a promising happy ever after for them both.
This is my first Melissa Foster book and will definitely be catching up on all of Dae and Emily's families very soon. This is a sexy love story but what makes this book really shine is the Tuscan setting. I've been to Florence and was able to fully absorb and re-live my own memories of this Italian city through Ms Foster's writing.
Emily, an architect that specializes in passive houses, has dreamed of visiting Tuscany. Thanks to her brother, and his generous gift, her dream was becoming a reality. She had every day planned with an itinerary that was chock full of sight-seeing and absorbing all the beauty Italy had to offer. As she stood on the balcony taking in the gorgeous view, it wasn’t the sight of the countryside that left her speechless, it was the stunning man who joined her that did.
Gorgeous Dae Bray was in Italy for business. As a demolitionist, he was brought out to discuss the demolition of a local building. To him, it was just another job, but to the locals it was so much more. Known as Casa Dei Desideri or House of Wishes, the building that Dae was to tear down held hundreds of years of hopes and dreams in it. Known for the olive tree that grew within the building, women have traveled to this house to leave wishes at the tree. Be it a note left beneath the tree or an ornament reflecting their heart’s desires, this long standing tradition was one that the locals were very passionate about.
As Emily and Dae grow closer, concerns over their conflicting occupations started weighing heavily on Emily. They definitely have the foundation for a great relationship, but where Emily looks to conserve homes, Dae gets paid to knock them down. Can they get past this shaky ground and hold on to their strong foundation? Or will their differences prove to be too much to hold them together?
If you ask me what I look for in a book, it would definitely be: a great story, hot characters, steamy love scenes and a book that’s a part of a series. This book is all of those things and more! Although it can be read as a stand-alone, there is a whole series of amazing books that you won’t want to miss! If you haven’t read one of Melissa Foster’s books, now is the perfect time to start.
Set in beautiful Tuscany, Dreaming of Love is a story about two people falling head over heels in love at breakneck speed! Emily and Dae are instantly attracted to one another when the meet in Tuscany. Emily is there to take a much needed vacation and Dae is there to assess a job. The sexual tension between the pair begins to spark almost immediately and both are filled with thoughts of what they'd like to do to the other! Emily has never felt this sort of passion before and all Dae wants to do is take her in his arms and make love to her. Both are swept along by their desires.
Because of their jobs, the pair are in danger of clashing. Emily is an architect who is all about preservation of old buildings while Dae, blows them up in his job as a demolition expert. Its not another person who threats to come between them up an old villa called The House of Wishes. The villa means so much to the local community, particular the women who go there to place wishes inside an old tree. Will either one do the right thing or should they change who they are and what they do to please the other? You'll have to read the book to find out.
Despite their relationship being a whirlwind sort of get together, I was ok with this! I got caught up in the couples enthusiasm for one another and in true Melissa Foster style, the sex scenes bounced off the pages and had me running for a cold shower again! I think Dae is my favourite Melissa Foster man to date. Super hot, super sexy and uber romantic! My new book boyfriend! I loved his caring nature. He can sweep me off my feet any day! Highly recommended.
I am not sure what to say about this book that I have not said about the rest in this series. They are all absolutely amazing. I started with book #1 in the Love in Bloom series and am always anxiously waiting the next book to be released. I always think that the male in that book will be my favorite, yet with each book I get a new favorite.
Dae Bray (sigh) is amazing. The romance, the love, the understanding all makes him the best so far. The fact that Dae and Emily have pretty much opposite jobs, yet he doesn’t think twice about it being an issue between them makes his true feelings shine through. There is never a doubt that Emily and Dae will end up together.
From the first time Melissa Foster brought Emily into the books, I wanted to know her story. I knew she would find her happy every after, I mean she is a Braden, but who, when, and where??? Of all the female characters in this series she is the toughest, the roughest, and the most deserving. Her upbringing of being raised by a single mom with all those brothers around her could not possibly be easy. Then she goes on to be so successful, yet all alone. I was thrilled with Dreaming of Love came out and was Emily’s story.
Once again, I cannot recommend this story and series enough. Each one is its own story, yet by reading them in order you get a much better feel for the characters and who belongs with who and how then ended up there. There are so many characters left that I need to know more about I patiently await the next book in this series.
Dreaming of Love is a great stand alone book, but if you love Melissa's books then know that it is also 11th in the Braden book series and 19th in the Love In Bloom series. I've now read several books in both series and love how the characters all intertwine.
This book is about Emily Braden, she's watched 4 of her 5 strong character brothers be knocked over with love for some amazing women and Emily wants to find someone for herself. She's always fought her corner for a rightful place amongst her brothers and she loves them all. She's an architect from Trusty, Colorado, she works hard and now it's time for a rest. Her brother Wes has given her a ticket to Tuscany for a well deserved break in an area of beauty, she arrives clutching, as always her hopes of love.
She's staying in a villa near Florence, the home of Adelina and her family. With just two rooms available, Emily soon meets the other guest and just one smouldering look has her pulse racing. Dae Dray is here for a work project, to assess a house for demolition, but it looks like he's going to work some demolition in the romance department too.
A local villa, Casa Dei Desideri, the House of Wishes draws local women to it's ancient olive tree who share their secret wishes. Myth has it that the tree has mysterious powers. Conflict occurs when Emily's need to preserve family bonds of love go against Dae's work project.
Melissa's writing is full of passion and emotion, she has strong characters who reach out to the reader's own emotions and take you on a roller-coaster ride.
Oh, where do I start with telling you the things I absolutely love about Emily and Dae? Okay, okay... First off, I want to go to Tuscany! Before reading Dreaming of Love, I hadn't thought twice about going to Tuscany. Emily's experience there makes me want to hop on a plane and travel! I'd take my husband of course, but it would be beautiful!!
Next, Dae is dreamy!! A hard working man that blows up things for a living? That's hot and exciting! Plus he is in Tuscany!
As you get to know Emily Braden a little better, you learn that she is just like her brothers. Driven and family oriented are two ways to describe this girl! As she is waiting for love to come her way, she didn't expect to find it in Tuscany. She fell in love with the scenery, a magical tree, and so much more!
This magical Olive Tree is what the townspeople call The House of Wishes. The women in the community believe if they make a wish at this tree, and sometimes even placing the wish on a piece of paper and tucking it into the tree's crevices, the wish will come true. The hope caused by these wishes is such a magical thing! If everyone could find something so powerful to believe in, the world might be a better place.
Damn what is Melissa Foster doing to me, I just can’t get enough of her books. Dreaming of Love is Emily Braden’s story. She is gifted a trip to Tuscany from her brother as a thank you and to be honest she needs this trip to clear her head and stop dwelling on the fact her brothers are all in love and she is still waiting for her true love. Staying in a small villa with only two rooms available she meets the other guest and he has her and obviously us readers practically panting from then on in.
These two have an instant attraction. These two are hot together but having jobs on opposite sides of the spectrum it isn’t long before they get in the way.
Another well written, fast pacing addition to the Bradens series, I feel like I get to know each character so personally and that is because Ms Foster does a great job.
BJ Harrison knocks it out of the park again with his mad narrating skills as Melissa Foster does the same with her writing on this wonderful tale about falling in love in Italy. I love all things Braden, so of course I think Emily is awesome. But Dae, wow, I can't think of a better word for him than DREAMY. Loved the story line, the ease at which these two connected and just knew but how they still faced some dilemmas. I also loved the look into Tuscany, it's culture and the people they get close to while there. And of course I adore Emily and Dae, and the Braden clan.
I've never read another author's work and had the best word describe it be "steamy" before but this book is. This is my third book by Melissa Foster, so far I've read all of them on the kindle. While I like reading on the kindle, I do miss seeing the cover every time I pick up and put down the book.
What I loved best about the complimentary copy I read was that its not just steamy. The characters are very relate-able, the scenery is beautiful, and the plot is good. Nothing seems rushed.
Dreaming of Love (Love in Bloom Book #20) by Melissa Foster. The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through. Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful. The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections. While each novel can be read as a standalone, there is an interconnectedness with the recurring characters and overlapping storylines - which help create a sense of community that feels warm and inviting. It’s like being welcomed into a big, loving family where everyone has a worthwhile story to tell. ‘Within the Love in Bloom big-family romance collection you'll find fiercely loyal heroes and smart, empowered women on their search for true love. They're flawed, funny, and easy to relate to. Characters from each series appear in future Love in Bloom books…’ If you are a fan of contemporary romance or simply looking for a feel-good series to escape into, this series is a worthwhile binge read… Love in Bloom is made up of the following series: - Snow Sisters - The Bradens (Weston, CO) - The Remingtons - The Bradens (Trusty, CO) - The Bradens Novellas Collection - The Bradens (Peaceful Harbor, MD) - Seaside Summers - Bayside Summers - The Ryders - The Steeles at Silver Island - The Silvers at Silver Island - Wild Boys After Dark - Bad Boys After Dark - The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor - The Bradens & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls - The Bradens at Ridgeport - The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside - The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch - Romantic Comedy Series Collection - Sugar Lake - Harmony Pointe - Harborside Nights - Nice Girls After Dark - The Steeles - The Stones - Blazing Summer - The Brays
Dreaming of Love: Emily Braden (Love in Bloom: The Bradens at Trusty Book 5) by Melissa Foster
I received an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Hats off to Melissa Foster for another sizzling yet sweet romance. Kudos to B.J. Harrison for the excellent narration. His ability to switch characters as well as allowing you to know when a character is thinking versus speaking is amazing. He gives each character their own tone, inflection and even accent when needed.
This is the love story between architect Emily Braden and demolition expert Dae Bray. I'm sure you can already see a conflict brewing. One likes to preserve and one likes to demolish. But like most things in life nothing is simple.
They meet in beautiful Tuscany where Dae is accessing a demo job and Emily is taking the vacation her brother Wes gave her. They meet and sparks fly.
Dae is the perfect man for Emily and I considered her extremely lucky to be the recipient of Dae’s affections, attention, thoughtfulness, lust and love.
Emily is bright, sexy, but sometimes a little rigid in her thinking and stubborn. She's beautiful with a huge heart and I was glad she was open to love.
The House of Wishes plays an important role in the story and the resolution was perfect. The storyline flowed, the romance progressed at a very believable pace and had you wishing you were Emily on vacation.
I loved Dae’s careful consideration and his ability to make sound decisions based on research and not merely appearances. He taught Emily not to jump to conclusions and to trust in his judgement. He respected her and her decisions without judgement and she soon realized she could do the same with him.
The secondary characters were developed and made you care for them and feel for their personal situations.
I enjoyed their love story so much, sweet with plenty of sizzle. If you haven't tried an audio book, let this one be your first. Well written, beautifully paced and expertly narrated.
Melissa Foster has outdone herself again. You will absolutely fall in love with Emily and Dae.
Emily travels to Florence Italy for much needed vacation and to see all the beautiful Italian architecture. What she does not expect is to meet Dae and fall in love.
Dae is such a gentleman and romantic which is perfect for Emily who is a romantic herself. There is an immediate attraction between the two.
They spend their days sight seeing and being happy and carefree. I love how romantic Dae is and always thinking about Emily.
These two characters were so well written. You learn about Dae's past and why he is the way he is. It's nice to have a guy that is as big of a romantic as Dae is. He puts his whole heart into everything he does.
By the time Dae has to leave Italy and leave Emily behind for a couple of days, they both feel like they are losing a limb. They are like an old married couple who hate to be apart.
I liked that towards the end, Hal Braden is there to give Emily some much needed love advice. When Hal gives his famous love advice, the Braden's listen.
The narrator does a great job with an Italian accent. His Italian accent makes you feel like you are right there in Italy and now I want to travel there.
Melissa Foster has knocked it out if the park again. If you are looking for a great love story this is a must read. This book is part of the Love in Bloom series but can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend reading this and the rest of the Love in Bloom series.
Note: This review is for the audible version of this book.
Emily Braden is a self-assured and organized business woman who specializes in designing passive homes and buildings. She is the only girl in a family with 5 overprotective brothers so dating has always been a challenge. Her brother gives her a trip to Tuscany as a thank you gift and she is thrilled to visit this beautiful part of Italy. Dae Bray is a demolitons expert with an alpha overprotective nature and is in Tuscany to check out a potential demolition job. He and Emily meet unexpectedly on her first night in Italy and they are both stunned by the attraction they feel for each other.
They spend every minute they can together trying to ignore the big stumbling block of their respective professions... she preserves things and he blows them up. Can they make this relationship work? Thrown into the mix is the issue of the villa he is supposed to check out which is the site of the "house of wishes" which is well known in the region.
I have read this book as well as listened to the audio version and I loved it. The story is engaging and the secondary storyline adds so much to the romance of the book. I like the narrator and I would recommend this book without hesitation.
Dreaming of Love: Emily Braden Love in Bloom: The Bradens, Book 5 By: Melissa Foster Narrated by: B.J. Harrison
What do you do when the person you love has a career in direct conflict with your own? Emily Braden finds out when she goes to Tuscany. Swept off her feet by Dae, these two are meant to be together. There is an instant attraction, and their relationship progresses quickly. But with Emily, an architectural preservationist and Dae a demolitionist, we knew there was going to be a problem. I was excited to have Emily find her forever! It was about time since her brothers all found it first!!! Dae is quite the catch. Smooth talking, always up front and honest, I found him refreshing and wonderful. Emily at times for me was frustrating, as she knew what the deal was when their relationship started. And I really didn't know how it was going to end. Learning the art of compromise can be challenging, but love will prevail! Love we get a glimpse at the brothers back in Trusty and the ending is perfect! This is a great addition to the series.
BJ Harrison brings this story to life as he continues his narration of the Bradens. He is this family, and I would not want anyone else to be telling me the story! He is this series and enjoy his performances.
I truly enjoyed listening to the story of Emily and Dae after first reading this in print when it was originally released. There is something about listening to these books that helps my mind wander into a movie version of what I am hearing.
Emily heads to Tuscany to enjoy the architecture and enjoy some time away from Trusty, CO. She had set plans and agendas for her visit and was so excited to take everything in. After meeting Dae shortly after arriving, those plans were all thrown out the window. They had an instant connection. Like most of the Bradens, when you meet your forever love, something flips inside you, and your well laid plans change.
Throughout their visit, Emily and Dae experience Tuscany together, but they also experience each other and grow closer. What will they do when they leave Tuscany? Can they survive back in the U.S.?
Their biggest challenge is around their jobs. Emily is a passive house builder and architect. Dae is a demolition expert. Can these two positions work together or will they repeatedly be at odds? A local area of interested that Dae is commissioned to assess becomes their first test.
BJ Armstrong's voice is perfect for this series. He is able to portray each character perfectly while keeping the pace of the book. The emotions each character feels are felt as he reads the book pulling me in with each chapter.
I am so happy to see that Emily got her happily ever after of course with some bumps along the way.
Dae is a demolition specialist and Emily is an architect. Can these two be perfect for each other regardless of what their careers are?
Dae was in Italy on a job and never thought he would find the love of his life but he did. However is this job going to be the catalyst to Dae's and Emily's relationship?
Emily is in Italy finally enjoying herself and relaxing, or trying to. She never puts work down until she meets Dae and he makes her see that there is more than clients, emails, and work in general. He makes her open her eyes in other ways.
Emily falls hard and fast for Dae just as Dae falls for her. Can Emily overcome her apprehension she has for Dae's job and his decision to take on a job to tear down a building that ends up having a special draw for both of them?
Emily and Dae's story was sweet, hot, real, and instant love. It was great to see these two have an instant attraction and have the same love and interests outside of their careers. It was a real romance.
I was so excited to get Emily's story. I love her. She has a dynamic personality. Then, this book takes place in Tuscany. How romantic! Very quickly, she meets Dae, who is there on business. The chemistry between them is immediate and is sizzling hot. From there, is one of the most romantic stories that I have read by Melissa Foster. Now of course, everything can't go smooth, but it sure is close. I loved the story of the House of Wishes. I could just picture all the women writing their wishes and putting them into the tree. Then, there is B.J. Harrison, the narrator. He is one of the best in the business. His voice is so nice to listen to, no matter what is going on in the story. It is very impressive how you can always tell who is talking, or whose point of view he is reading. Melissa Foster and B.J. Harrison is an awesome combination.
Emily and Dae - Swoon-worthy! ❤️ - Audiobook Review 🎧 I loved Emily and Dae’s story! This is such a great series, and this is a very sweet and romantic romance for Emily. Dae is a man that any woman would want to fall for her and spend the rest of her life with. There are some differences in their lives, and they have to spend some time working through them, but this is another wonderful Braden story. The only thing that I wished for in this story, is for more interaction when the brothers actually met Dae with Emily. That is always the theme of these stories, and I missed that in this story. It was still a great story and I look forward to my next Melissa Foster story because I always feel like I need to be listening to one of her stories all the time because they are so great. B.J.’s narration was great in the story.
Emily and Dae are stunning together. Emily is jealous of her brother's who have all found love and she has wanted that for a long time. One of her brother's Wes buys her a ticket to Tuscany and a room in a Villa of her favorite architect. She is an architect herself. She sees Dae and he sees her and there is chemistry at first sight. Dae is also a guest but he is there for work. To demolish another Villa that was abandoned. Ends up that the Villa has a tree that village women make wishes to and leave pieces of paper. They call it The House Of Love. After much angst on the villagers and Emily's part things are settled. First Dae and Emily tour the area and he is so romantic. Sexy, romantic and fun.
I fell in love with this book, the characters and of course the Italian countryside of Tuscany. Reading a Melissa Foster book is like entering a magical kingdom, where the writing makes the story come alive. Every character is someone you want to know because they always have something in them that you can relate to. They are not so perfect that they are unrealistic. In Dreaming of Love, all of that is there. Melissa created two strong and loving characters in Emily Braden and Dae Bray. You travel along with them as they visit ancient villages, a haunted castle, attend a street fair and stop in a glorious field of red poppies! Truly, Dreaming of Love is like a gorgeous travelogue inserted into one of Melissa Foster's most romantic books! Read it, you will love it!
