She Alien: Laim-Saga 9
An empire in decline is dangerous. To avoid its fall, it will take extreme actions, like trying to destroy all intelligent life in the galaxy. A simple woman is supposed to stop this mass killing.
My dream of living as a computer scientist in a suburb of San Francisco (with a husband, children, and a house with a garden) was just a dream. According to an old prophecy, I am the one who will stop them. Women in my tribe have held this position since time immemorial. Before they die, they give an amulet to their daughter or granddaughter. This amulet also makes their daughter or granddaughter the protector. Today it is my turn.
But this doesn't mean I can't still pursue my dream. My grandmother was a protector. She lived her normal life. But over the years, a small detail has been who or what needs to be protected?
Then one day, spaceships appear in Earth's orbit. Aliens came to Earth and took over. Everyone thought it was my job to get rid of them. My life's dream—a husband, children, and a house with a garden—is now lost. So I secretly join the enemy ship. But instead of taking over the ship, I am discovered and have to fight for my life.
Everything goes wrong, the ship explodes, and I'm stuck thousands of light-years from Earth in the middle of the stars in a tiny escape pod.

Series still going strong.
This is a secondary story arc continuing Karr and Rachel's saga where they end up on a spaceship heading into the wider galaxy which is arrayed against them. As before, the world building which includes a myrid of galactic races is excelent, as is the engaging storyline. I anxiously await the further translations fron German into english.

Holy High Jinks Batman!
No, this book is not about Batman. But WOW! The plot twists in this novel are worthy of the Marvel Universe! Secret plans within plans, and development of a new lead heroine made this, in my opinion, the absolute best of the saga? series? So far, highly recommend this series!
