Wow! Lots of action and intrigue. Blythe Meissner thought she was safe since her husband is in prison But all of the sudden someone tries to kidnap her! What and why? She escapes and finds the detective Simon Bueller who helped her before. Will he help her now and can he keep her safe?

Undercover In Amish Country is an exciting story written by Lenora Worth. The characters really bring this story to life and makes the reader feel included. The storyline never gets dull with so many twists and turns. I was happy to get to see what happened to Blythe after the first story. Such an unexpected ending.

UNDERCOVER IN AMISH COUNTRY by Lenora Worth is the amazing, captivating, suspense filled story of Blythe Meissner and Detective Simon “Simms” Bueller as they try to stay alive while on the run from professional hit men while trying to figure out what’s going on and who’s behind it all.

Blythe was under the misconception that her marriage was going to take her to the good life. In actuality, it was the start of a horrible nightmare. One that even now, after helping to but the monster she’d married behind bars, she seemed unable to be free herself from. Is nowhere safe? Why haven’t the attempts on her life stopped? Now that her ex is dead, who is behind them?

Simms left his Amish upbringing and stepped into the Englisch world working his way up to detective. His goal is to protect the underdog and to bring to justice those that commit evil crimes. He’d helped Blythe back when she was escaping her husband’s wrath and during her testimony that had him sentenced for his deeds. He thought when she went back to Campton Creek that he’s never see her again. Just as well, because even though he was attracted to her, there could never be anything between them. She’d never leave her faith and he won’t go back to being Amish. But here she is at his home with danger fast on her heels. One thing he knows for certain sure is he will protect her with his life and help her find answers and peace.

Who is after Blythe and why? By them no having killed her, does it mean they want her alive? Could she ever survive a repeat of the past of being held hostage in the swamps? Can Simms keep his promise that he would always be there for her? Could history be repeating itself with the possibility that her Aenti Rita is mixed up in the recent events? After her past, can Blythe trust any man? Can they both fight the sparks of attraction between them? Will Blythe ever be able to live a life of peace and tranquility? Once all this is over and after experiencing what life could be like while living with the Klassen’s, is it possible Blythe will want to stay in Pinecraft? Can Simms make peace with the past?

Great story! I enjoyed the suspense and the characters. Some parts of the story were too repetitive. Discussions of plans on what to do next were gone over multiple times by different characters; it felt like filler. Overall I enjoyed reading this book.
