We first meet this feisty character in my debut novel 'Belleza', you don't have to read it first, but it might gain you some perspective on her personality. There are also some events that happen in the same timeline. Trixie is a call girl/escort, working in London and Las Vegas, she has had a rough ride in life. She has been abused, and abandoned by those who are meant to love her. She has always dealt with life by herself, and one of her 'clients' wants to help her move away from the way of life she has always known. Mr Orange (not his real name) is an Art Dealer, mega wealthy, and totally drool worthy. He cares about her a great deal. Can she give Mr Orange a chance, or will she remain in the lifestyle she is accustomed to? Can someone who has never loved, or felt love, learn the art of Love? *** Please be aware the content of this book contains strong, and graphic scenes. Trixie also swears, a lot. NOT suitable for persons under the age of 18 ***
My name is Jane and I write under the name of J A Heron.
I live in a small town called Burton on Trent, Staffordshire in the middle of England. This lovely little town is famous for making beer, and I have called it home since I was born.
I have a daughter called Shelby and although I was a young mother, I couldn't be more proud of the beautiful young lady I have raised, I was eighteen years old when she came into my life, and I love her more than anything in the world.
I am quite a positive person, and with some of the hardships I have encountered over the years has made me a stronger person. I lost my mum to cancer over ten years ago, and although I lost my best friend that day I believe in my heart that she would be proud of me.
I started writing because of my love for books, but also, because of my disability. I was a bit of a medical miracle you see, I survived, when I really shouldn't have. And whilst my illness left me with some lasting effects, it also left me with a new outlook, determination and confidence that I could do it, so I did! I have loved reading for a number of years now, and my only regret is that I wish I had read more as a youngster. I believe it is very important to teach children the love of books from an early age, the earlier the better in my opinion.
I am in a relationship with a wonderful man called Ian. He is very supportive of my writing and calls me 'his clever girl', for some reason this always makes me blush. Ian and my daughter know when to give me some space to write, they know that I can become quite tetchy when in the zone. But they also know that I need an endless supply of coffee, and maybe some chocolate thrown into the mix.
I believe in my work, I believe in my stories, and I hope you do too...trust me, there's a lot more to come! Jane
I absolutely love writing Trixie's story. We first meet this feisty character in my debut novel 'Belleza', you don't have to read it first, but it might gain you some perspective on her personality. Well where do I start? We meet Trixie in J A Herons first book (Belleza) although only briefly...she is the friend of Mya who seen her through some hard times and introduced her to the escorting business - Belleza. Well she comes into her own in this book. Trixie is a feisty, independent and very strong woman. She is under no illusion of what she does and whilst keeps her secret life from her aunt, she is happy with the life she leads.
We see her love for dancing (which she does in Las Vegas) along side her escorting. She has dreams of her future and her savings pot is going towards her dreams regarding her dancing.
There is a darker side to Trixie. She had a very sad childhood and between awful parents and a cousin who abused her she has very clear ideas on sex. She knows she "screws" men for money and expects nothing else from the clients she is with.
But that is about to change when one of her long standing clients shows her something she is alien to. Affection and love. But is Mr X hiding something that could destroy the pair and Trixie's trust and affections before they have become apparent? A run in with a old client and someone from Mya's past would be the true test for the pair. When Trixie is in need of recooperation Mr X takes her in and adores her. But Trixie is certain she needs to return to what she knows....because it's all she feels certain about. It's easier than dealing with the feelings she has.
Will Trixie realise what she truly wants? When she finally makes her choice more pain is to come her way. And through it all, she can only think of one person.Would she ever see him again!? Would he be her "knight in shining armour"?
To say I connected with this story is an understatement....from the amazing highs to the year inducing lows...we truly travel Trixie's journey. Wanting nothing for her to let down her understandably high walls from being so hurt in her young life and beyond. This awe inspiring read was difficult in parts, and did have violence and graphic scenes but it made me respect Trixie more. For her dreams she was aspiring to and her inspirational attitude and strength.
I could actually rave about this book but I'm going to stop now.... A truly worthy five star emotional roller coaster read. It actually shook me!

I read book 1 Belleza and was hooked so when Alias was released, I was intrigued to learn more about Trixie who made a few appearances in Belleza. This is a story of a woman that has had a lot of hurt in her life, and why she turned to escorting. Trixie is a colourful character with her flamboyant dress sense and some of the clients she is hired by are entertaining to read about.
In steps in a client known as Mr Orange he is a handsome Korean wealthy man who hires Trixie on a regular basis. Wherever Trixie goes he suddenly turns up and you begin to wonder if he feels more.I certainly think Trixie felt more for him and thought with her line of work it was impossible. This is about her strength and self discovery of what she wanted her future to be. There was sizzling hot sex between the pair and you really rooted for them to give into how they really felt about each other.
Of course it contains a lot of emotions, angst, sadness , happy scenes and some heartbreaking topics. I was not expecting some of what happened and I still hung to the hope of an HEA. The author put everything into the story of Trixie and all the sadness and heartbreak she endured. There is a delicate topic which I think is dealt with sensitively.
I certainly enjoyed Belleza series and I look forward to what's next from Ms Heron.
I am so glad I got the opportunity to read both of these books by Ms Heron, they to me were a good read.
Such a rollercoaster of emotions in this book.
In Alias we hear about Trixie, who has a somewhat troubled past, she is a confident person but she like many people has a vulnerability to her.
Trixie’s past is a traumatic one which when reading brought tears to my eyes, no child should go through what she had to and the way it was written was so well done you felt the pain that Trixie went through as a child.
This book is not a book for the faint hearted, it will test you and your emotions, it is not only dramatic but funny and so heart wrenching it had me in tears. Throughout the story though you do see Trixie discovering herself and the kind of woman she wants to be, she has help by a lovely man who adores her which was so moving.
I can’t say too much as I do not want to spoil it for others but this is a very powerful and emotional book.
Once you start to read this book, you will not want to stop, you will want to know the end and what happens. The good thing is there are no cliff hangers at the end of this book. You think you know how it will end but you maybe in for a surprise.
After reading J.A. Heron's debut novel, Belleza and thoroughly enjoying it, I following up with this spin off, Alias. You don't need to have read Belleza to enjoy this, though it's great as a reader to have some insight into some of the characters. This revolves around a dancer called Trixie. She's had a seriously rough start in life and has turned to being a high class escort to supplement her dancing income and to hopefully save up enough to quit the lifestyle and follow her dreams of being a dance teacher. That's her sole mission, the more clients she sees, the faster she can get out of this life, but a regular called Mr. Orange throws a spanner in the works when he starts to become too attached to her and she questions her feelings for him as well. There's plenty of drama, lots of angst, some humour too, but the real joy of the book is the journey that Trixie goes on from the first to the last page and you can see Heron really finding her feet as an author. There are a few editing issues, that Heron is already working on, but when there's a great plot and characters I can overlook those. I actually shed a couple of tears reading this, something that doesn't happen to me very often when I'm reading books. Thanks for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Well Jane, you've done it again and Alias is even better than your first novel and that was bloody good to say the least! :-)
Alias is a standalone book but if you want to read "Belleza" first, it may just give you a feel for a few of the characters in this book and it’s definitely worth the read!
Alias is all about fun time girl "Trixie". An escort/call girl, whose character is absolutely amazing and you will just love her! She is strong, feisty, generous, kind hearted, sexy...etc. I could go on and on but underneath that strong persona, Trixie has demons that threaten to ruin her entire future.
Then there is Mr Orange (not his really name, obviously, hence the title) a sexy Korean who books Trixie whenever he is in town. Mr Orange becomes a regular client of Trixie's. He is gorgeous, rich, sexy, caring and has fallen head of heels in love with Trixie. Will Trixie open her heart to Mr Orange and allow him to take care of her or will she keep those barriers up around her heart and push him away for good?
Be prepared to have tissues ready with this book as J A Heron takes you on an emotional and twisty ride!
I was kindly sent this book by an amazing author. After reading and reviewing belleza, I can safetly say I was so excited to read Alias, and it never disappointed. I loved reading Trixie's story and finding out how she became 'Trixie' . She had a real difficult life and I think she coped better than alot of people would have, it almost brought me to tears reading what happened to her right from being a child :'(. She is a very headstong charachter or so she lets people believe. She is battling demons and has such vivid dreams you totally feel for her. She is a well sought after woman by her clients and one in particular 'Mr Orange' love how she uses nicknames for them. Mr Orange is a gorgeous Korean that is wealthy and pays for Trixie's company, the scenes between these 2 will have you squirming, the sex between these two is explosive and additive you can't stop yourself wanting more, it kind of reminds me of pretty woman some parts. I dont want to give anything away in this review.......but what I will say is you have to read it, its so well written. I will definitely be reading anything else this authour puts out. Thankyou for the pleasure of reading this.
Wow! I can see Ms Heron is going to get better and better with each book she writes! Alias is a very powerful piece of writing.
Alias has controversial topics and colourful characters so it may not be for everyone. But if you are open minded then give this book a go!
We met Trixie in Belleza. She is extroverted to the extreme and everyone notices when she walks in the room. Jet-setting between London and Las Vegas, Trixie is trying to find her place in the world.
A talented dancer, she uses her abilities to dance at Pandemonium. But also continues her escort job as her main source of income.
"Mr Orange" a regular customer of Trixie, has his eyes set on making Trixie his prize. Trixie however tries her damnedest to keep it all strictly business.
Can a damaged woman learn to love? Is Mr Orange the man to teach her. Between Trixie's own inner turmoil and evils from her past, can she find a pathway to her dreams? And at what cost will those dreams be.
Powerfully written, full of angst, drama, lust, passion, pain and ultimately love...you will share a myriad of emotions with the characters in this book. You will NOT walk away unchanged after reading Alias I promise!

Having read J A Heron's debut novel Belleza recently, I was very keen to get started on her second novel. Alias follows the story of Trixie, a fiery and confident call girl who has a hidden vulnerable side due to traumatic experiences as a child. Due to the adoration of a good man, Trixie starts to learn more about herself and the kind of woman she wants to be.
This book is not for the faint hearted! It is dramatic, funny, heartbreaking and completely consuming. It is one of those books that you find yourself rushing because you're desperate to find out what happens at the end, but at the same time I didn't want to finish it. There are plenty of twists and turns and nobody could predict the ending.
I would recommend this book to anyone... if you can handle it!
Received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wow. OMG. Totally totally loved this book.
I first met Trixie in Belleza and you just knew she needed a story all to herself. Such a strong vibrant character. The chemistry between Trixie and Mr Orange is sizzling and I just couldn't help being swept up in their steamy love affair. I felt the emotions they both felt. I've been angry, in loved, loved, hurt, betrayed, almost destroyed and finally at peace while reading. The storyline is fab with some very hard hitting topics. Said topics have been writting tastefully and have been done with the respect they deserve. Very highly recommended.
This is an amazing story. I didn't know what yo think about Trixie to start with. She is a call girl who loves what she does. And through her 'job' she meets Mr. Orange. He turns her life up side down and back again, he makes her feel what she never felt before, and he makes her open up to him about herself. This is one emotional roller coaster. I didn't know if to laugh or cry. Trixie is such a feisty character, so strong and independent. But if you delve deep into her feelings and emotions, and listen to what she wants, she is such a loving and caring person. I am happy that in the end she got what she deserves.
This is such a great book...Poor Trixie...you get to see why she is the way she is...if you have not read "Belleza", the first book you should because you get introduced to Trixie in this book, however, this can be a standalone book...it is well written and flows easily...it really is one of those books that has you holding your breath one minute and crying the next...You will get to know "Mr. Orange" and see the good he can do for her...but is what he has to offer her enough to leave her life as she knows it all behind? you will just have to read it and find out...happy reading..
I loved Trixie in Belleza and now that I have read Alias I love her even more, she has gained so much confidence and she gains even more throughout the book. I admire her for all the pain and suffering she has had throughout her life as a child upon till her adulthood. Her relationship with Mr Orange is an off on off on situation but in time they finally have their happy ending and everyone deserves a happy ending even Trixie. Well done J A Heron.
I loved crazy fun strong Trixie in book # 1. In this book you follow Trixie as she struggles with issues from her past that keep her from moving forward. This story is filled with so much emotion, I laughed cried and screamed. Will "Mr. Orange" be able to show her to the light? No spoilers so you’ll just have to read it.
WOW!! J.A. Heron gets better and better. I was thrilled with her first book Belleza, but I am very impressed with Alias. She has a very vivid imagination and knows how to captivate a reader. She is such a great writer for the Erotic/Romance crowds!!! I did not want to put it down!
I read the first book Belleza by J. A. Heron and felt that I had to read Alias to find out what happened to Trixie. I loved both these books. the story is beautifully written and you finally get to see what happens to Trixie.
This is part two to Belleza and gives you Trixie's story, wow this is such a fantastic story you will admire her so much at what she has overcome to get to where she is you may not agree with how she lives but her strength and determination is amazing. The story takes you through shock, humour, courage and romance in the strangest situation, you will cry, laugh, shout and want to hug her, J Heron has the ability to take you right there with them and her books are a MUST READ they will not disappoint.
