More like 2.5 stars. This book had wonderful, factual information about Saint Patrick, but the writing style and the more modern reformed language were a detriment to the story. I liked the inclusion of the photos. It was nice to see the green Irish landscapes and the stone remains of castles and churches.

Some historical discrepancies and a lot of repetitive wordiness. I loved the religious nuggets of wisdom littered throughout, it is obvious that a godly man wrote a book about a godly man. But the research and story telling left me disappointed.
