Rumiko Takahashi is one of the wealthiest women in Japan. The manga she creates (and its anime adaptations) are very popular in the United States and Europe where they have been released as both manga and anime in English translation. Her works are relatively famous worldwide, and many of her series were some of the forerunners of early English language manga to be released in the nineties. Takahashi is also the best selling female comics artist in history; well over 100 million copies of her various works have been sold.
Though she was said to occasionally doodle in the margins of her papers while attending Niigata Chūō High School, Takahashi's interest in manga did not come until later. During her college years, she enrolled in Gekiga Sonjuku, a manga school founded by Kazuo Koike, mangaka of Crying Freeman and Lone Wolf and Cub. Under his guidance Rumiko Takahashi began to publish her first doujinshi creations in 1975, such as Bye-Bye Road and Star of Futile Dust. Kozue Koike often urged his students to create well-thought out, interesting characters, and this influence would greatly impact Rumiko Takahashi's works throughout her career.

Takahashi's professional career began in 1978. Her first published story was Those Selfish Aliens, a comedic science fiction story. During the same year, she published Time Warp Trouble, Shake Your Buddha, and the Golden Gods of Poverty in Shōnen Sunday, which would remain the home to most of her major works for the next twenty years. Later that year, Rumiko attempted her first full-length series, Urusei Yatsura. Though it had a rocky start due to publishing difficulties, Urusei Yatsura would become one of the most beloved anime and manga comedies in Japan.
In 1980, Rumiko Takahashi found her niche and began to publish with regularity. At this time she started her second major series, Maison Ikkoku, in Big Comic Spirits. Written for an older audience, Maison Ikkoku is often considered to be one of the all-time best romance manga. Takahashi managed to work on Maison Ikkoku on and off simultaneously with Urusei Yatsura. She concluded both series in 1987, with Urusei Yatsura ending at 34 volumes, and Maison Ikkoku being 15.
During the 1980s, Takahashi became a prolific writer of short story manga, which is surprising considering the massive lengths of most of her works. Her stories The Laughing Target, Maris the Chojo, and Fire Tripper all were adapted into original video animations (OVAs). In 1984, after the end of Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku, Takahashi took a different approach to storytelling and began the dark, macabre Mermaid Saga. This series of short segments was published sporadically until 1994, with the final story being Mermaid's Mask. Many fans contend that this work remains unfinished by Takahashi, since the final story does not end on a conclusive note.

La pelea de Gimnasia me gusto, pero luego viene lo de los patinadores de hielo.
Esa parte me divide demasiado. por un lado el que un hombre le logre plantar un beso forzado a Ranma genera un conflicto bastante interesante, aunque habrá que esperar a ver si el manga lo incluye más allá de su enojo. Pero los dos personajes, el tipo besuqueador y la niña que grita Charlote, me cayeron igual de mal que en el anime.

En este tomo esta una de mis escenas favoritas de todos los tiempos (ubicada exactamente en la última pagina). Además de que muestra la locura de Kodachi, la pelea de gimnasia rítmica de combate y el duelo de patinaje jajajaja. Y Charlotte, Charlotte is love <3

Los combates son absurdos, lo que hace que sean hilarantes.
Acaba el arco de Kodachi y empieza el de Azusa y el patinaje sobre hielo. Lo molesto es la pareja de Azusa, que es un acosador sexual, aunque en un momento dado recibe s merecido.
Y como siempre, el punto fuerte sigue siendo *insertar actividad cotidiana* estilo de combate libre xD

Akane está practicando para poder competir en gimnasia contra Kodashi, la rosa negra pero de último momento se lastima y alguien tendrá que suplirla. Después de eso, Akane y Ranma se ven envueltos en un conflicto en la pista de hielo, donde serán retado a un duelo por la pareja de Oro, donde pelean también por P-Chan y un beso inesperado hace que todo sea peor para Ranma.

Este tomo me ha aburrido un pelín más, pero el humor es genial (bueno, al menos el que entiendo). El nivel de japonés es un pelín alto para mí, pero no hay frase que DeepL no traduzca (bueno, sí, alguna hay, pero por contexto también se entiende). Y hay muucho vocabulario nuevo, básicamente términos sobre batallas, venganzas, victorias y derrotas, ataques, enemigos... Y más de un yojijukugo o frases/modismos de cuatro kanji, como 問答無用 (no vale la pena discutir) o 先手必勝 (la victoria es de quien ataca primero). ¡Espero aprender mucho con este manga!

Muchas cosas pasaron en este volumen!!!
La verdad si estivo entretenido y me reí de todo lo que le pasa a Ranma. Es muy entretenida la historia y la pelea de gimnasia estuvo padre. Ahora con lo de el reto de patinaje para tener al cerdo también está divertido y el pobre Ranma perdiendo su primer beso fue épico.
Me esta gustando un montón.

During the scene toward the end when the whole household is gawking at Ranma and Akane with that "hurry up and kiss" energy, even going so far as to basically say it, I laughed so hard I literally (<-not misusing the word here) fell out of my chair.

This series is always a lot of fun. There wasn’t a bad moment in this volume, but I especially loved the gymnastics competition. Glad I bought a few more volumes last time I was in Japan, I’m excited to read them!

Akane bereitet sich auf den Kampf mit Kodachi vor, doch bei den Vorbereitungen verletzt sie sich. Ranma bietet ihr an für sie zu kämpfen. In dem unfairen Kampf, an dem auch Ryoga unfreiwillig teilnimmt, gelingt es Ranma als Sieger hervorzugehen. Zeit zum Erholen bleibt Ranma nicht, denn ein Eiskunstlaufpaar fordert sie heraus. Und ehe sie sich versehen enden sie in einem Paarwettbewerb.
Das Cover gefällt mir gut. Es zeigt Akane und Ranma in einer harmonischen Situation. Ich liebe den Zeichenstil und auch die Dialoge. Vor allem die Dialoge zwischen Akane und Ranma sind göttlich. Die Geschichte ist wieder Unterhaltung pur.
Ich mochte die Geschichte wieder sehr gerne. Vor allem Ryoga als Schwein ist einfach nur genial. Das ist zum Teil schon Situationskomik.

Kommen sie mit Wasser in Berührung, wird Ranma zum Mädchen und sein Vater zum Panda. Einzig warmes Wasser macht diese Verwandlung rückgängig. Für Ranma ist das eine unmögliche Situation. Denn als Junge soll er verheiratet werden, während ihm als Mädchen die Jungs nachlaufen. Groteske Gags, Spannung und reichlich Action machen diese Martial Arts Comedy zum famosen Lesespaß. 1994 erhielt Rumiko Takahashi, die Ranmas Abenteuer mit feinem Strich zu Papier bringt, den renommierten San Diego Comic Ink Pot Award.

Auf diesem Cover sehen wir Ranma und Akane, wie sie Rücken an Rücken stehen und dem Betrachter entgegen blicken. Der Hintergrund zeigt Tulpen, was ich wirklich richtig hübsch finde. Und oben rechts haben wir wieder Saotome in Form des Pandas wie er wieder etwas mit dem Besen weg fegt. Das Cover passt an sich wieder sehr gut zur Reihe, macht aber keinerlei Aussage zum Inhalt der Geschichte. Schade eigentlich.
Eigener Eindruck:
Akane hat die Herausforderung von Kodachi, der „Schwarzen Rose“ angenommen und bereitet sich auf einen Kampf mit Elementen der Akrobatik vor. Doch das Training ist nicht so einfach, wie sie dachte, deshalb bekommt sie Hilfe von Ryoga, was Ranma so gar nicht passt. Als sich Akane jedoch verletzt und nicht antreten kann, muss Ranma in seiner weiblichen Form an ihrer Stelle antreten und sich gegen die gemeinen Attacken von Kodachi zur Wehr setzen, denn diese schreckt vor keinem Mittel zurück, um gewinnen zu können. Außerdem müssen sich Akane und Ranma mit dem Verschwinden von dem kleinen Schweinchen P-Chan auseinander setzen und purzeln so in ein neues Abenteuer, bei dem sie zusammen gegen ein kämpferisches Eiskunstläuferpaar antreten müssen…
Dass dieser Manga vor Übertreibungen nur so strotzt, das weiß man mit dem dritten Band mittlerweile schon, aber immer wenn man denkt, dass da nicht mehr kommen kann, schafft es die Mangaka noch einen drauf zu setzen. Da es in diesem Band hauptsächlich um den Kampf mit Kodachi geht, bleibt die Geschichte ein bisschen im Hintergrund und kommt so ins Stocken, was ich ein bisschen schade fand. Sieht man von den maßlosen Übertreibungen aber ab, bekommt man hier trotzdem eine ganz spannende und solide Story, die richtig lesenswert ist und vor allem auch Spaß macht, weil die Mangaka immer wieder humorvolle Elemente einbaut. Noch immer muss man Schmunzeln, wenn die weibliche Ranma wieder einmal einen neuen Verehrer abbekommt oder eben der männliche Ranma von Akane den Kopf gewaschen bekommt. Egal was Ranma tut, es scheint immer wieder in einer mittelgroßen Katastrophe zu enden. Schön finde ich hier an diesem Band auch wieder die Vielfalt bei den Charakteren. Man merkt richtig, dass die Mangaka sich richtig viel Mühe gegeben hat und wenn man dann noch die ganzen Verzweigungen an Verwandschaftsgraden beziehungsweise Bekanntschaftsgraden beachtet, muss man schon sagen, dass dieser Manga echt eine absolute Glanzleistung ist. Also wenn ihr wirklich etwas zum Lachen haben wollt, dann greift hier zu, ihr kommt hier voll und ganz auf eure Kosten.

Y seguimos con las aventuras de Ranma y sus amigos, que son muy divertidas y que me gustan mucho, en esta ocasión vemos lo que pasa en el torneo de Gimnasia Rítmica de combate que a mi parecer es muy extraña, ya que la rosa negra y su hermano, (los hermanos Kuno) son capaces de cualquier cosa por ganar la competencia y el corazón de sus amados, pero ellos no son los únicos dispuestos a pelear por Ryoga también entra en acción, por que esta necio en poder vengar y lograr lo que el quiere y así derrotar a Ranma.
Este manga es muy genial, como les digo a mi me gusta mucho, divertido, te vas a reír por todas las cosas que suceden aunque les diré que sentí un poco flojo este tomo a comparación de los otros, es bueno pero eso de la pelea de gimnasia rítmica se me hizo muy largo y tonto en ocasiones y se me figuro que casi ni pelearon, pero a diferencia creo que fue mucho mejor la pelea de Ranma y Rioga, desde el porque de la pelea hasta todo lo que sucedió ahí, por que en la otra, el estar peleando por alguien que te gusta y que ya te allán dicho que no le gustas a esa persona, pues ponerte a pelear se me hace muy tonto, creo que no es mucho de agrado la rosa negra.
Pero por otro lado como siempre este manga tiene un final muy bien hecho, por que como en cada tomo te deja con ganas de leer el siguiente para saber que es lo que pasa, aquí va a llegar otro personaje llamado Shampoo, que ya no recuerdo exactamente el por que de ella en la historia (pero si me acordaba de ella por el anime) y el querer saber que sucede pues es interesante y me deja con ganas de leer el siguiente tomo.
Un manga un poco flojo pero que aun así tiene lo suyo y hace que pases un muy buen rato de lectura y que a pesar de ser flojo es no impide que lo termines rápido y eso es algo bueno que tienen los mangas, ya que los lees y los terminas el mismo día y para leer entre lecturas son excelente.
Por lo que veo soy de leer algunos mangas clásicos, pero les diré que son muy buenos y que vale la pena leerlos y que Ranma es la prueba de ello, muy recomendado si se quieren acercar a este bonito mundo de los mangas.

Este manga es muy genial, como les digo a mi me gusta mucho, divertido, te vas a reír por todas las cosas que suceden aunque les diré que sentí un poco flojo este tomo a comparación de los otros, es bueno pero eso de la pelea de gimnasia rítmica se me hizo muy largo y tonto en ocasiones y se me figuro que casi ni pelearon, pero a diferencia creo que fue mucho mejor la pelea de Ranma y Rioga, desde el porque de la pelea hasta todo lo que sucedió ahí, por que en la otra, el estar peleando por alguien que te gusta y que ya te allán dicho que no le gustas a esa persona, pues ponerte a pelear se me hace muy tonto, creo que no es mucho de agrado la rosa negra.
Pero por otro lado como siempre este manga tiene un final muy bien hecho, por que como en cada tomo te deja con ganas de leer el siguiente para saber que es lo que pasa, aquí va a llegar otro personaje llamado Shampoo, que ya no recuerdo exactamente el por que de ella en la historia (pero si me acordaba de ella por el anime) y el querer saber que sucede pues es interesante y me deja con ganas de leer el siguiente tomo.
Un manga un poco flojo pero que aun así tiene lo suyo y hace que pases un muy buen rato de lectura y que a pesar de ser flojo es no impide que lo termines rápido y eso es algo bueno que tienen los mangas, ya que los lees y los terminas el mismo día y para leer entre lecturas son excelente.

I remember thinking, as a kid, that this volume was such a weird inbetween kind of thing. I still think that. It's mostly because of how it moves from the fight against Kodachi to the skating thing without really slowing down the story properly, so we get a nice smooth transition from one to the other.
I'm also not a huge fan of the figure skating arc (?). It's pretty boring in my opinion, and it's always one of the arcs that I'm in the biggest hury to get through when I'm reading the series.

Takahashi sigue con el buen ritmo en este manga, el cual está lleno de mucho sentido del humor. La aparición de Kodachi Kuno, y una pareja de patinadores que desafían a Ranma y Akane, hacen que poco a poco se vayan formando lazos entre los dos.
Muy entretenido, incluso para quienes ya nos vimos el anime primero.

I just can love it more.
Maybe it's not so funny as the 1 and 2 but it have some funny moments.
Also it's something that can read in one hour or less.
Also love every chapter when Ryoga show up.

Como siempre, Ranma sorprende y cautiva con su humor y las aventuras. A mi me gusta muchisimo como en este volumen se puede ver que Ranma empieza a sentir algo para Akane y que intenta a esconderlo.
