Can Anton be stopped once and for all

In this final installment of the series, Anton must face his rivals, as they attempt to stop his dictatorship. To know how to get rid of him, we must face his past and so Anton's education (including a glimpse of his mother) is demonstrated. Why is he so possessive and abusive towards woman? Seeing them as sexual objects more than humans? Who will end his tyranny?

It seemed cruel at times to see how bittersweet the characters got when meeting dead ones in other dimensions. But through it all, Helenowski passed on the message to let go of those "what could have been" questions of our past that haunt us and concentrate on the present.

Title: Let’s Explore Different Dimensions
Final Orders by Irene Helenowski

Dimension hopping, an evil mastermind, and the fate of hundreds of different worlds; all of these are found within Irene Helenowski’s Final Orders. In Helenowski’s previous books, the character Jane Kremowski has created the Multiverse, which allows people to travel to different dimensions. Within those realities, a person may not remember their other selves and may have completely different lives. Jane marries the love of her life, Randy, and has children but everything goes terribly wrong when Anton Zelov becomes obsessed with her and the Multiverse. He ends up becoming the supreme ruler in most of the dimensions, forcing Jane to marry him, and generally terrorizing everyone with whom he comes in contact.

Final Orders is compelling and fast paced. Within two pages, a character could be introduced, given a motivation, and then killed. It reads like a TV show; everything is fast, vague, and mysterious. It is also confusing. There is little to no description of characters or place, no explanation of what dimension they are in, and the point of view changes without warning. The novel is character based rather than plot based. Many things happen to the characters but it is used more to reveal who those characters are than to move the story along. You will find yourself simultaneously understanding and hating a character.

Dimension hopping, multiple selves, and character motivation all weave together to form a complex story line. No one is completely evil or completely good; it is the everyday decisions that make a person good or bad. Helenowski explores this idea, complexly working through what creates a person and what they are willing to sacrifice. The only thing missing is engrossing description. If you like building a world the way you want it to be—a free-for-all imagination— and enjoy science fiction then this novel is perfect for you.

I give Final Orders a 3 out of 5 stars.

Best Wishes,

This series of books began with ‘Order of the Dimensions’, where Jane and her team of graduate students work, with their professor, on a box, which can transport people into different dimensions.

In the sequel, ‘Revised Orders’, Jane is tempted again by her friend Amber to enter the box and the adventures in different dimensions continued.

In this third book, there are many more dimensions, though the original characters remain throughout. However, one has to remember, of course, that in the different dimensions, the lives they lead, their priorities, families and whole character are totally different. I would heartily recommend that these books are read in sequence for the most enjoyment.

In ‘Final Orders’ there are many more dimensions, and the scientists are being forced to create even more. The world has changed, and The Orders, in many realms now hold power over life and death. They are now monitoring people, and have the ability to send unwanted people or groups into the null space. With the ability to look into the past or the future, hard choices have to be made, and manipulation, cover-ups, lies and deceit rule. However, underlying it all, the story contains a strong vein of love and loyalty, with the characters trying to do what they feel is right, at that particular time, after all, who knows what their choice would have been in another dimension, or with the benefit of hindsight?

This is a really exciting story with many twists and turns. The complex plot keeps you on your toes, I found it compelling reading, and once I had started page turning, I couldn’t stop until I had finished it.

For science fiction fans and those fascinated with time travel the theories in this book are fascinating and I would highly recommend it.

The third book in the series and just had to read this immediately after finishing book 2. You can read my reviews on book 1 here and book 2 here

Things get worse, power creates a darker vicious controller, Anton is now President and completely out of control. The Order discards certain dimensions on a whim leaving them non existent, these null dimensions are where anyone caught breaking the law would be sent or even their parents. We also learn of red dimensions - forced labour and forced to live in slum like conditions. Anton and The Order were becoming ruthless and cruel in everything they did and you certainly see the darker side as you read.

How on earth was all this going to end? What would it take? It is down to one person who has to make the biggest decision of their life, especially when their current life is happy and they are completely unaware of what a loved one is really capable of in other dimensions, until they are shown.....

More of a story line in this book than the chase in the second book but don't expect the pace to slow down, you may be flicking back to check things out and keeping up with this amazing author. You connect with the characters feeling their pain, grief and sadness. Although it's hard to believe you even feel for Anton when you read about his sadness.

I would suggest reading all the books in order to really get a tight grip of who is who and the full background of the story to really enjoy the final book to an awesome series.

This is the third and final exciting part of Irene Helenowki’s terrific ‘Order Of The Dimensions’ trilogy, and sci-fi fans should love both it and the entire series.

The theory of parallel universes postulated in quantum theory is a fascinating one (albeit difficult to get the part of your brain responsible for logical reasoning around!) and ideal as a premise for a sci-fi adventure, and in her series the author has taken it and run with it, handling the inevitable plot complexity there would be with aplomb.

The author maintains the breathless pace she began in book one (health warning: arch-villain Anton Zelov is very wicked indeed!) right up to the rather unexpected but very satisfying end, and the epilogue is deeply touching.

Very well done, Dr Helenowski!

Final Orders the last book in the Order of the Dimensions Trilogy begins with the grown up daughter of Jane and Randy lashing out at the man who broke up her family the villain Anton and then it takes twists and turns and ends up being about Jane's cousin Tina who is given the knowledge of the other universes and how they are compared to her current universe. The book also ends with an uplifting paragraph about making the most in the universe that you live in which we all should. I can see this third act of this trilogy as a blockbuster movie, this trilogy is one that no science fiction fan should go without.

Randy and his colleagues are still trying to stop the madman, Anton, who has established the Order in most dimensions. The Order is either in control, or the dimension is a black hole, destroyed or locked. Is there no end to what he will do to maintain his domination. He has transported those who would put him away to another dimension where the Order has control. How can he be stopped? Who will stop him? The only hope lies with an unlikely heroine. Will she succeed? How will she succeed? Can she save the final dimensions?
