They invite little kids to take their first big steps toward understanding the world around them and are just the thing for parents and kids to curl up with and read aloud.
Photographs and simple text are sure to entice readers into looking up into the sky in search of cloud formations and to see if they can identify the different types of clouds. The text describes some of the characteristics and function of clouds as well as how they look when viewed from space. Like the other books in this series, this title encourages youngsters to look closely at the world nearby and marvel at its wonders.
Clouds was written with the non-reader in mind but all readers will enjoy the rhyming style in which the material is written. The splendid colorful pictures that accompanied every explanation were on-point. Where were you Clouds when I studied weather in college?
This informational book about clouds is wonderful for students. They can learn everything they need to know about clouds. The illustrations go along with what is wrote.
An introduction to clouds and precipitation for children illustrated with photographs.
A great introduction for little kids with fantastic photographs. The 4 most common types of clouds are named, as are some other cloud-induced weather phenomena. There are activity ideas in the back. The only thing that felt a little off about this book was that it started out in rhyme and then about 4 pages in suddenly gave up on the rhyming. I think it would have been smoother to do all or none (and since cumulonimbus is a little hard to rhyme, probably none).
