Teejay Bishop, cancer survivor, is still trying to put a life back together in the California coastal town of Monarch Beach. Things that were odd last month just got worse - there's a cow in the front yard, goats in the road, and someone broke into the hardware store. The college kids working for the summer are the first suspects, but when Kelly's diner comes under investigation, it's anyone's guess. Tee and her friends will have to figure this one out on their own, with a little help from the irrepressible Tim.
Another terrific read. A great plot that I had half guessed but the other half completely blind sided me. Great! So Tim is real! After hearing him and talking to him in her head for years, he has turned up and is as real as anyone. The others are all taken aback that she has never talked about him to anyone and John immediately starts doing a search on him. With the youngsters off from school the town is busy. However the normal pranks are getting more and more serious. From slashed tires (and the like) they move onto trapping Tim in a well and end with the murder of one of the diner's old timers. Who is behind all this? Is it the loud, arrogant boy and his two friends or is there someone hiding in the shadows? Plus the ending is terrific! How is the other blonde?
I was lucky enough to receive this book in a Goodreads First Reads Giveaway.
Wild Blue Yonder is a mystery and a romance. It is set in Monarch Beach, California. You have the main characters, Tee and Tim, who set out to solve the many mysteries that are occurring on Monarch Beach this summer while the college kids are back in town. Luckily, Tim is one of those people who notices everything. Can he help get things back on the right track?
This story was kind of slow to get into, yet once it picked up the pace, it was hard to put down. One thing that I did not enjoy, however was the extreme repetitiveness of some things. Sometimes, it was hard to stay in the story because I felt like the characters were just having the same conversations over and over again, with just a slight word variation between the two. It was a very sweet story, though. A lot of the personality traits of the main characters, I felt I could relate to, as that it depicts how me and my partner are a lot of the time. I definitely think that their relationship was developed. The ending, unfortunately, was very predictable, but that is understandable, as the author does a good job at tying up all of the loose ends. There are also a lot of grammatical and typing errors that made it a little harder to read, that being said however, from what I understand, this book was completely self- published and a lot of the time when the author is the one who also edits it, simple errors get overlooked.
This book is worth the read if you are looking for a mystery with a but of romance; and this isn't one of the stupid books that all of the relationship is about sex. Like I mentioned before, the character relationships seemed genuine and very life-like, which has an appeal to me.
This second book in the Monarch Beach Mystery series is all about Tim. The tall, blond charmer who is no longer a figment of Tee's imagination. He swoops into Monarch Beach sweeping Tee off her feet and is just in time for the latest mystery to hit the small beach town. Is he the cause of the new set of troubles or is he a hero, that is the question that all of the locals are gossiping about. Another fun visit with Tee and her friends in Monarch Beach!
