Blessed Are The Eagles is a titillating paranormal thriller mixed with a bit of romance that easily captivates readers from the first page.
Callie Brennan lives in a small town where she owns a shop that specializes in Hopi and other Native American collectibles. When Callie is suspected of partaking in a stolen artifacts scheme, which has already cost one man his life, she sets out to clear her name. But, when Finn Gallagher enters her life things become complicated. Finn has ties to Shiloh and a special interest in the stolen artifacts. He begins investigating Callie with the hopes of clearing his deceased friend's good name and then strange things start to happen. Poisonous snakes, paranormal visits, and more death surround Callie and Finn must decide if it's a cover up for her crimes or if her life is really in danger. Meanwhile the two are smitten for one another, but can't seem to be honest with each other for more than a second. Will they be able to put their differences aside long enough to uncover the truth?
I have read several books by Ann Simas and enjoy her writing style and ability to grab a reader's attention. Blessed Are The Eagles is no exception. Her characters are well developed and complex and the plot is filled with so many twists it will leave you reeling. She uses the element of surprise to her advantage and reveals just enough to keep you guessing until the end. I found Blessed Are The Eagles to be a gripping and well contrived tale well worth reading.
I highly recommend picking up a copy.
