Oo I liked it! I won Dark Redemption ages ago and just let it sit on my Netgalley self but I finally dove in and, damn, yall. It was worth the time!

The Gist: Mala's kept the fact she can communicate with ghosts a secret her whole life and has a life altering decision to make. There's something evil out there brutally murdering teenage boys as some sort of sacrifice and her otherworldly talents and the support of her boyfriend might be the only way they'll find justice.

Landry and Mala were great characters. This is an ongoing series so they were already an established couple and I loved them together. The chemistry, support and connection between them was amazing and you could tell they cared deeply for one another. They weren't perfect, though, and had to work on it. All kinds of things were thrown in their laps. A group of abandoned boys they'd been caring for, pressures from family, the occasional demon possession, betrayals. Pretty much what your every day 20something has to deal with, right? lol

There was a lot of suspense. Gah. The case they found themselves tangled up in was...gruesome. Dark magic and a serial killer. Using innocence to gain power for some unknown cause. Things moved at a very fast pace and kept me guessing at what was really happening and who was behind it all. Some things I semi-figured out but not everything. It was nicely done.

My only issues were that in a couple spots I thought things needed a little more explanation/dealing with. And then a couple other spots where I had a moment of confusion or two but that stemmed from jumping in at book 3. So that's on me. And it really wasn't too bad.

Overall, Dark Redemption was a refreshing paranormal jaunt full of dark and gritty elements that were balanced out with strong characters you could root for, a lovely romance and bits of humor and heat. I'll be heading back to book one for sure.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this series! It was such a fun and dark read. The only reason I didn't rate the final book a 5 stars was that I felt that the MC lost a little bit of who I felt she was in the first 2 books. I hate to say I expected more from her but I was a bit disappointed with her reactions to some of the events. I was hoping for more.
Yet, that being something I personally was wanting from the story. The author really gives you great characters, setting and a lot of twists and entertainment.
It is definitely a series I would recommend.

I have enjoyed this series from the very first book. With it's rich dark detail to life on the bayou and that old southern charm of Louisiana it is hard not to fall in love with the setting. Add in a very dark gritty and mysterious New Orleans that runs rampant with voodoo hoodoo and ghosts and you have one heck of a ride. Twists and turns galore that will leave you breathless and shaking your head wondering what in the world will happen next and what lurks around the next bend.

It has been quite the crazy ride with Mala and Landry and one that I soon won't be forgetting. These two people, as odd and crazy as they are, have wormed their way into my heart and I have become invested in their outcome. I wanted each of them to get that happiness they so dearly deserve. That happiness that they only seem to be able to get with each other so I was hoping like crazy that all would be well in the end, for both of them.

As rough and crazy as their relationship started they have really grown stronger, both together as a couple and as individuals and I have loved watching it happen.

Sandro did an amazing job making this story both creepy and fascinating. A darkly rich tale where anything is possible and evil lurks around every corner and under every bed.

I absolutely loved the ending and found that it fit right in with the rest of the story. It wasn't too over the top or dramatic and it just worked.

I will definitely be picking up more of her work in the future.

Laundry and Mala are back in the third book in the series, which takes place about a month after the end of the second book. They are trying to deal with the things life has thrown at them the best that they can, with custody of the Acker boys, Dena in a coma, Laundry with a demon in his head and Aunt Magnolia on the horizon. When a murderer is on the loose, Mala gets dragged into the investigation by using her ghost skills not police skills. She learns that this investigation ties into so much more, a scheme greater than she could have ever seen coming.
I have completely enjoyed each book in this series. Disclaimer to all who just stumbled onto Dark Redemption: do not start with this book, this is the third book in a very complicatedly crafted story that has to be read in order to understand the relationship dynamics and the world building. Don’t try to start with this book because you may not enjoy it as a standalone, where you will love the story as part of a whole.

I thought this was to be a trilogy, which even though I love the books, I do enjoy knowing that there will actually be an ending to a series, that a final wrap up and conclusion will come to be. The ending to this book has a fairly solid conclusion that could be enough for me. I did have a few nit-picky questions and thoughts about the characters that were not addressed, but I could be happy with this world as is. That being said, I read a blurb on the author’s facebook page that a fourth book in the series is in the works and now I feel conflicted. I was all set to say goodbye to Mala and Laundry and the super messed up place they call home, but now I don’t know what will happen. I am stuffed full of uncertainty, which is ridiculous but true.

Laundry is hands down my favorite character in these books. He has been taken down so many times by life and yet he bounces back with such a positive attitude and love for Mala and his family. He is such a freaking trooper, I just want to give him a big hug. It also probably doesn’t hurt that he is incredibly attractive with his sculpted body, pretty face, scruffy hair and roguish eye patch. So I may harbor a teeny tiny crush on him, but he is exactly my ideal book-boyfriend physically and psychologically. Mala on the other hand I have an urge to smack or shake at times. She is a really complex interesting character, but her impulsiveness drives me batty. So many times she just runs off to do something or say something that hurts Laundry. He feels rejected when it appears that she picks George over him, when in actuality she just feels the need for action that minute but forgets she is part of a team now and should probably consult her partner. And the number of times that the girl forgets her cell phone was shocking, especially when danger is on the prowl and previous experience would shows she really should have it. Without Laundry risking his life for her at every turn, Mala would have been dead meat. I really enjoy how realistic their relationship is too. They are so grounded as people that it is not a fairytale romance, but a solid bond that deals with the daily life things such as tampons, pregnancy scares and bowel movements. They are hysterical together but so real.
I am a huge fan of character driven books, which this is, but there is a strong plot and action in the book too. Let’s talk about the supernatural/mystery plot component of the book for a minute. There are ghosts, demons, purgatory, magic, voodoo, battle of good vs. evil, surprising character twists, family reunions, court issues, police investigations, soul stealers, potions, astral projection and a mystery of who the murderer is. There is a lot thrown at the reader in the story, but in a good way.
I have enjoyed each book in the series and despite my earlier grumbling, I will happily read more from this author, be it this series or something new. I am a fan for life.

This is the final book for the series and the conclusion that I have been waiting for. With some answered questions, I was anxious for some answered so I dove right back in to Mala and Landry’s story. Just when Mala thinks she can get have a normal life. She has a house full of people, a surprise that neither her of Landry is prepared for and bodies being discovered with no explanation. Her assistance is needed but the secrets that Mala wants to hide so badly, are the ones that uncover the truth behind the murders and save those she loves as well.

Mala is still learning just how powerful ability really is, and is growing more and more. I have to say, I just adore her. And Landry, poor Landry, he is going through some rough things, but he loved Mala which gives him some pretty amazing strength to push through. There are so many characters and I wish I could tell about all of them, but I will say that are a few that I wish I could just pinch there heads off. Overall though, this has a great cast of characters.

The story picks up where we were left in Dark Sacrifice. Through out the series, there has been plenty of creepiness and voodoo magic and this delivers that and then some. Landy is fighting the demon that is inside him, but now there are angry ghost that are after revenge, then there is a betrayal of someone Mala trusted. Murders that have the sheriff’s all baffled, that is because this isn’t just a person, supernatural murders need supernatural solving. There were a few surprises when it came to a few characters and in a good way, they helped Mala which was something that I wouldn’t have expected from them. Of course what would all of this be without some romance in it too. Through out the series, there has been plenty of creepiness and voodoo magic and this delivers that and then some.

Not that there is any shortage of drama or excitement but what would this be without a romance. The relationship between Mala and Landry continued to grow and they definitely have some chemistry between them. *fans self* The ending was such a good one, wrapping up loose ends, not only mystery, but with Mala and Landry and their home life too.

Dark Redemption is a perfect conclusion to Mala and Landon’s story and a great addition to the new adult paranormal romance genre. A great paranormal mystery and wonderful characters, what more could I ask for.

This is the end of the oh so very unique and rather fantastic trilogy about coming into your powers, falling in love, and generally just being a little badass while retaining the need to be saved every once in a while. Because who doesn’t want a knight in shining armor? I WANT ONEEEE! *****If you haven’t read the other two –Dark Paradise and Dark Sacrifice- beware of spoilers from previous books. ALSO! Y’all should look at the Dream Vacay post Angie Sandro did for my blog! Okay, onto the story.

We always start where the previous book left off exactly. And that’s just how I like it. I hate WITH A FIERY PASSION when books somehow skip a few months into the next book. It annoys the crap out of me. The reader has our same loveable and annoying character that I have grown attached to. Because they’re them. How can you not grow to want them to be happy when they have a crazy voodoo queen of their booties and dead people wanting them dead? How can you not want them to be happy when they’ve already been through so much? That’s right. You want them to be happy. Everyone does at this point. But nothing is ever easy, now is it? And goodness do Mala and Landry have a lot on their plate.

In the final installment we have evil and crazy and evil and I didn’t like this one as much as the first one. I still love the characters, don’t get me wrong. They all have stolen a piece of my heart. And some my soul. Literally. Crazy voodoo queen is freaking loco to the nth power.

Again, we are surrounded by spirits, murder and magic. Again, we have a love that can last either an eternity or end in a millisecond. Again, we have something so very dark that you can’t just help to secretly hope for the bad stuff to happen so you can see how the characters react. But then again, we also have relatively the same story line we’ve had the entire series, just with a few extra hints of surprise (like that ending . . . HOLY FREAKING MOLY!) After the whole prison and psyche ward shenanigans we have the strange and grotesque murder of little boys that seemingly only Mala can solve. And solve she does.

But then we have the pesky non-demon making itself all comfortable in Landry’s head. I am rather fond of señor non-demon.

This was a satisfying end. I got the answers I needed, granted, some I was totally not prepared for. But there were some I really needed. And I got them. Ms. Sandro, you deserve applause.

The best quote was made by the occupant in Landry's head: I am immune to the evocative nature if a females breasts. Unless they belong to Mala LaCroix. She, as humans say, has a fine rack.

Happy reading & Until Next Time

Do you know much about magic, demons, possession or witches, Louisiana swamp style? Let Angie Sandro guide you through the treacherous waters of the Dark Paradise series. The final book, Dark Redemption is as twisted and convoluted as its predecessors, but has the responsibility of bringing it all together.

Mala and Landry have seen good times, bad times and now, their time together may be cut short as black magic rears its ugly head in one last battle. Game time is over, no more toying with its prey, but will Mala and Landry get help from unlikely places? Is Mala strong enough to protect her soul from evil as Landry battles of his inner demon for dominance? Unsolvable murders, deceit and betrayal come at Mala from every quarter as an angry ghost wreaks havoc and destruction and someone who should have loved her and protected her, fails to do so, one last time. As Mala’s powers grown, so does the love between her and Landry, but will is it enough to save them?

Angie Sandro has once again taken her readers on a journey through the dark and mystical side of life, where the impossible becomes real and the non-believers learn to believe. She writes with an edge that pulls no punches and adds to the chaos going on in the world she has created.
If Angie Sandro hadn’t brought Mala’s story home so perfectly, I think I might have cried. Not too much of anything, it felt right, kind of like safely getting off a plane filled with little kids after riding out a turbulent flight. You’re relieved, you’re reflective and now that the end is here, you want to shake the pilot’s hand for a great ride!

Book Review: Dark Redemption by Angie Sandro

In the follow up from Dark Paradise, Mala is working hard to care for the Acker boys while their sister Dena lies in the hospital. Mala knows she can bring her back but she is afraid. Mala doesn’t know if it will work or if she will be able to kill someone to take Dena’s place. She blames herself for a lot that has happened even through she had to do all she could. Mala’s sight of ghosts and special talents are what helps her take on the dark magic in her life. Her aunt is the Voodoo High Priestess in New Orleans and Mala doesn’t trust her. She knows Magnolia is up to something she just doesn’t know what.
She is worried about the boys and keeping them. She promised Dena she would take care of them. She also has to watch out for Landry, who is possessed by a demon. On top of it all someone with strong dark magic is murdering boys and Mala may be the only one with the capabilities to figure out who or what is doing it. She is thrown back into the world of dark magic as chaos reigns. Mala and Landry have no idea who they should trust. Lies are running rampant and secrets are being kept. Mala knows something bad is here doing horrible things and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. She and Landry have to be ready. Hopefully the betrayals that occur aren’t anything bad enough for Mala to lose focus on what she needs to do to save the ones she loves.
This book is a continuation of Mala and Landry’s story. I did not read Dark Paradise first and I wish I had. The story may have been less confusing in places for me if I’d known some more of the history behind the characters and how they ended up the way they did in the story. The whole time I was reading this book I felt like I was missing vital information.
The story was dark and full of magic, possessions, zombies, and ghosts. It seemed to center around the voodoo magic possessed by the Le Croix women. It turns out to be more of a curse. Mala is a strong woman but extremely stubborn. There are some instances where I wanted to shake some sense into her. She did, however, have a great partner in Landry. They worked well together as a couple. The characters that surrounded them in the story weren’t as clear as to their roles. That may be a result from not reading the previous book first. With that in mind I give this story a 3 out of 5

Oh My Gravy!! It all comes together and falls apart and comes together again in this last book of Angie Sandro’s Dark Paradise trilogy/series. Angie Sandro is amazing when it comes to weaving an intricate story tying up things from the last two books neatly into this one for one dynamic climatic ending. I loved every second of this series, every twist and turn and scary hoodoo spell this series has been great reading.
Mala and Landry are stuck between a rock and a hard place. With the death of their father and Dena in a coma, Mala and Landry are left to take care of her cousins; cousins that enjoy making Mala’s life hell but secretly love her and don’t want to be separated, no matter what Social Services say. Landry’s Father left homeless after the last book is staying with them helping out, and keeping Landry and Mala apart until the wedding bells ring not that that is stopping them. Meanwhile Landry’s getting worse with that thing in his head takes over when he sleeps and sleepwalks, it really freaks Mala out when she finds him naked in her chicken coop covered in blood and feather.
Auntie Magnolia has sent Sophia and Ferdinand to help train Mala and Landry with their abilities but human remains found out on a preserve has George asking Mala for help pulling her away from training. The heinous actions of this killer has endangered Mala the only way to help is Landry makes a deal with the demon in his head. The demon that turns out isn’t really a demon and despite a twisted sense of humor is trying to help. The child murder is still on the loose and George uses Mala’s need to help other to lure her in to help with the case. To top it all off Mala and Landry get a couple of surprises that can change everything. One being the sudden reappearance of Poppy, the mother of her cousins who ran off and vanished years before and wants to take back her boys and pull Dena off life support.
The shit all hits the fan at the same time. Mala and Laundry fight for their sanity and dark entities both physical and mystical that are out to ruin everything. No one is who you think they are good guys end up being bad and the people you think are bad end up saving the day. This series really is best when all three are read but it is so worth it.

Dark Redemption picks up right where Dark Sacrifice ended. Mala is still trying to come to grips with her new abilities and her failure to save her cousin, and Landry is literally fighting his own demon. They are both taking on the responsibility of an instant family when the Acker boys come to live with them. To make matters worse, there is a serial killer dismembering teen boys near Mala’s swamp. George seeks Mala’s help with the missing boys, thinking that her otherworldly ability will make finding them easier. Mala gets more than she bargained for when she herself becomes trapped on the other side by the murderer who seems to be more evil than human, and the police learn of her abilities. Is Aunt Magnolia involved with the killer? What is her agenda? Can Mala trust Magnolia’s minions? Will Landry lose his battle with his demon? Will Mala’s biological father acknowledge her as his own? And is she pregnant?

I am so glad to see Mala and Landry mature here. They still have a ways to go to be adults in my opinion, but at least they have settled into responsibility and a real relationship. Though I see the point of the pregnancy plot, I must admit that it irked me a bit since I felt that made them backslide into immaturity. I also felt the whole installment was somewhat shallow. The murders and Magnolia’s intentions were not fleshed out as much I would have liked – it all seemed glossed over and rushed in the end. I was not satisfied with the resolution of the trilogy. Also missing this time out was the creepy, dark atmosphere of the bayou. Most of all, I found Mala’s betrayal by someone close to her that she fully trusted heartbreaking.

This is not to say I did not enjoy the book; I did. Having read the previous two installments, I had to know what happened to Mala and Landry. I recommend Dark Redemption to fans of the trilogy and those who appreciate mysteries with a big emphasis on the supernatural.

I have read the two prior books before Dark Redemption and my one true regret is I waited so long to read this last book!! This series is gritty and raw it is packed full of emotion and some crazy life or death situations. Think Paranormal murder mystery in the Bayou.

Dark Redemption is just that a dark journey Mala and Landry go through for redemption. Their Journey is not just dark but the trials they face test the very essence of their souls. Deep Right?! Angie Sandro pours life into her characters you feel like you know them and their family. The Louisiana country living is well depicted and easy to visualize. By the books end I felt as if I watched an amazing movie..lol
Mala and Landry are trying to pick up the shattered remnants of their lives. Dee is in a coma. The Acker boys have no family besides Mala, Landry and his dad are helping where they can. In most cases family issues are the main thing to worry about not so much here you have a killer taking young teens and mutilating them not to mention Magnolia, Mala's Voodoo Queen aunt has her own agenda.

The last couple chapters were a game changer. I was totally blindsided by the nefarious change in events. Kids being brutally murdered, demon/ non-demon like possession for several people and flesh eating butterflies (loved that part). I found the writing magical A.S. can describe things in such a way that you feel like you totally see where her mind is at and what she is giving you. All this without pages of overly written descriptive unnecessary words. Her words are carefully constructed and welded in such a fashion that you can't help but enjoy.
Each character really brings something to the table, they are all well developed and when you assemble them as she does you can't help but applaud. Mala really grew in this series you watch her gain confidence and mature it was beautiful I loved her in these books. When the book ends so does the series you get complete closure at least for Mala and Landry~

I would recommend reading them all in order. You'll see after you pick up the first one Dark Paradise this isn't a chore your doing yourself a favor.

Woooo! Quite the ending! Didn’t see some of that coming at all! And I must give Ms. Sandro kudos on wrapping everything up altogether admirably. I don’t think she left anything hanging. I wasn’t left with one question as to what happened to who or with what. Be prepared to roll with the punches on this one, because they just keep coming and coming. This one is filled with flesh and soul eating butterflies, loas, a serial killer and betrayal.

It starts out with Mala as guardian of the Acker boys while Dena is in the hospital considered brain dead. The social worker is visiting and in the meantime, Landry is passed out in the chicken coop naked, covered in blood, and snuggling a headless hen. And that is just the beginning! Magnolia is back and worse then before. She’s got an agenda and Mala and Landry are trying to figure it out so as not to fall in her trap, whatever it may be. George lets the cat out of the bag about Mala’s new abilities to the town Sheriff and Bessie. And Mala comes face to face with her father at her Aunt March’s birthday party. And I’m not even telling you about the crème filling in this little twinkie!

Definitely would recommend this series to anybody and everybody. I fell in love with the first book. Two and three just got better and better. If there is one series that you need to read before the year is out this would be it. So put Dark Paradise, Dark Sacrifice, and Dark Redemption on that to be read list. Trust me, this is a must read series!

I have loved this series from the very dark beginning. The setting of New Orleans and beautiful Creole Louisiana along with the cover art is what initially brought my attention to the series. Yet, it’s the dark and unyielding romance story of Mala and Landry that has kept me intertwined into their world. Their beginning was dark and filled with dangerous situations so it was not a long shot to imagine that their ending would be the same.

It’s been a very wild and hoodoo filled ride with their story. You cannot help, but love their resilience and sheer tenacity to maintain their feelings for each other in such an unyielding storm. My heart ached and broke with theirs from the very first moment. I shared their smiles and tears right along with them. This kind of stories that make you have an invested interest in fictional characters happiness as well as mourn their loss as their story comes to a close.

Sandro could not have written more of an engaging, dark story than the Dark Paradise series. She gives life to characters that not only have lived through immensely tough times, but have banded together against insurmountable odds to be together. To call this story, the Creole Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t be giving it any justice at all. The ending itself was beautifully mastered and will give devoted readers the finale they deserve. Thank Angie Sandro for allowing me to escape to Mala and Landry’s world.

I really liked this book. At first I was a little lost because I have not read the first two books in the Dark Paradise series. However, after reading Dark Redemption, I will definitely be reading them!

The story is told in both Mala and Landry’s point of view, which makes the story stronger and the events better understood. Mala seems like a fairly strong character. She can take care of herself and she has a kind heart. Landry is a hot-headed, protective man. Although both characters are independent, together they are a force to be reckoned with. They take on forces of dark magic to solve several local murders. Along the way they face personal problems and questionable characters. They have to learn who they can trust and they respect each others intuition.

I am rating this book a Lovely Rose because I feel like some of the story could have been told better. Some events run together and are hard to follow. Overall, I really liked Dark Redemption and I can’t wait to read the first two books in the Dark Paradise series. I feel like if I would have read them before I read this book, I would have know what was going on instead of being lost in the beginning. Other characters and events (which I assume were in the first two books) were mentioned in this book. Therefore, I don’t think it should be read as a stand alone.

I have to say this is one of the most extraordinary books I read in a while if you thought the first two books were amazing, wait you read this one Angie Sandro books have a way of drawing you in and holding you there. But a word of advise have some tissues handy I won't say why as it would ruin the whole book for you but make sure you have them. Now for a little bit I can tell you

About DARK REDEMPTION
Deep in the Louisiana bayou, Mala LaCroix cannot escape the mysterious things she's seen. Haunted by her otherworldly past, she only wants to hide her special abilities and care for the man she's come to love. Landry and he wants nothing more than to love her and help her take care of the Acker kids. But the dark swamp they call home holds more than just Mala's secrets, for a killer is leaving behind ghosts trapped between worlds, hungry for vengeance. Landry knows Mala could never turn her back on those in need. It's part of what attracts him to her.Landry has to make a deal with the devil to save Mala but as you know the saying never judge a book by its cover or in rhis case skin there is no telling who is evil and who is good yoy will be so suprised near the end as to who Mala can really trust and if true loves kiss will save them all

OH EM GEE!!!! Prepare yourself for a wild ride, readers! WHAT an emotional and exciting end to a truly spectacular series. The Dark Paradise Series was honestly the first in a long time I really didn't want to end. I'm going to be feeling the effects of a serious book hangover for quite some time now...

Angie Sandro is one to watch. She's going to be HUGE. Ms. Sandro skillfully tied all three books together with one great twist and turn after another. She managed to maintain the heat and the humor even though Dark Redemption was significantly darker and more intense than the last two. She really knows how keep you on the edge of your seat. She gets you right in the feels. Every. Time.

Every single book in this series held its own, got better and built to one hell of a climax. Beautifully done.

*I received this in exchange for an honest review*

Dark Redemption by Angie Sandra was a phenomenal debut. This wonderful YA Paranormal romance had hints of the Beautiful Creatures series but with a voice all its own. I absolutely adore gothic, Southern Paranormal romance novels, especially when they’re in the YA genre, and Dark Redemption didn’t miss the mark. And the cover, I love it! It says, “Enter if you dare!” And dare I did.
Ms. Sandro has written, essentially, a hauntingly beautiful and gripping tale of love, murder, and justice all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Deep South.

Landry and Mala were a delight to get to know and watch navigate through this tale of otherworldly woe. I would highly recommend this to all fans of YA Paranormal, especially if you’re like me and LOVE the Deep South, a place where magic exists. But Dark Redemption certainly could be enjoyed by older audiences. This satisfied the craving for a clever paranormal read. I would most likely read anything by this author.

I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the other ones. It worked, and by that I mean that it finished off the story. But the wrap up was too quick. It was a little too easy and it felt like Sandro was just trying to figure out how to finish the story as quickly as possible.

The end scene/chapter was a big let-down. If you watched the show True Blood all the way to the end, you know what I'm talking about. It's all happy-time hunnky-dory bull crap. It would be so much nicer if things ended a little more realistically.

The thing about this particular story is that it could have been so much more. There was really no reason to end the series after three books. There are limitless ways Mala's story could go on. And the number of situations she could face with her family and friends by her side could make for a great number of novels. Too bad Sandro didn't see that. Or maybe she saw it but decided not to continue for different reasons. Whatever the case, it's too bad we don't get to see how Mala's adventures continue.

What a tailspin!

I cannot believe Angie Sandro went through when writing the third and last of the Dark Paradise series!. How-? What-?! The things that take place in this southern mystical tale has literally blown me out of the water! Sandro does not disappoint and delivers a mighty story with incredible characters whose lives are knit tightly together to face whatever comes ahead. The story magically unfolds such thrilling and shocking moments nobody would ever want to miss in Mala and Landry's adventurous journey. No need to even leave further than the backyard to run into anything interesting and eventful in Mala's case. Stepping into Mala's world of swamp, magic, demons, ghosts and witches will most definitely leave a lasting impression.

DARK REDEMPTION is the conclusion to the trilogy. I loved seeing the characters grow over the three books. I hope readers enjoy this series as much as I did writing it.

Miss Sandro has blown my mind! She has taken book number 3 to a whole other level. Her ability to bring her supernatural world to life is nothing short of amazing! The culmination of everything the characters were dealing with came together in an explosion the size of a nuclear bomb! Her ability to weave the here and now with the supernatural so effortlessly is a natural gift.
I was expecting an awesome story, but got so much more!
As I have said in the past, Miss Sandro must be a sorceress. She knows how to captivate and keep her audience begging for more

2.5 stars

This one just didn't hold my attention the way the other two did.

For the most part, it seemed the story revolves around Mala and Landry constantly thinking/talking about one thing. I don't want to say what that thing is and spoil it. However, that topic got really old, really fast.

There was a really good twist at the end, but by then I was ready to be done with it. Overall, the series was mildly entertaining, but perhaps didn't need to be a trilogy.

**Huge thanks to Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review**

It wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped for, but it wasn't bad. It started out great, with a murder mystery that was truly creepy. But that just became window dressing rather than the real plotline. There were a lot of coincidental things that popped up in the last third that aggravated me, then went nowhere so they weren't even necessary. I think my favorite thing was how Landry interacted with the "demon" in his head and how that particular thread was wrapped up.

It has been a very long time since I've enjoyed a good book. This trilogy are brilliant. I love the characters and setting. And the story line is unique and different. I'll look forward to reading dark embrace fix using on Mala's cousin Dena and Novella focusing on Bessie. I do hope though there will be another story involving Mala and Landry! So glad I stumbled across these books.

I loved this ending. I didn't want it to be over! You did such a good job connecting us to the characters, sad to see them go!

This book is a roller coaster of thrills! The ending to this trilogy is perfect, and sad, as I hated for the story to end. The imagery is wonderful and the plot intense.
