Seldom has there been a political leader so complex, so impossible to predict, so difficult to understand, so private and yet so public, as Pierre Elliot Trudeau, Canada's Prime Minister from 1968 to 1979, and again from 1980 to 1984
Gwyns book about Trudeau for young adults (when I was young we were called children :) ) is a very quick read. It covers the basics of Trudeau's life and politics without digging that deep. Who's searching a real biography should surlely not pick up this book. But (and that's why it's 4 stars) it's a very good way to introduce children to one of the most popular politicians of Canada.
